4 Pen Y Mynydd Reviews

Alison
Lovely house with lots of modern technology. Lots of space for a big party. Play area and huge hot tub was enjoyed during our stay. Communication with the owner was excellent. Couple of minor maintenance issues which were addressed in a timely manner. We did pre plan to use BBQ but unfortunately gas was not available,so if you wish todo so I would speak to the owner Emma first, who is very approachable. Surrounding beautiful views of Colwyn Bay, which is a short drive away as is the Mountain zoo. All in all loved our stay, thankyou again
Yvonne
The house was perfect for a large extended family holiday and the location was ideal. The hot tub and childrens play area were amazing and very much appreciated. One of the reasons we booked the house was because it had an electric car charger. Unfortunately this did not work, the owner said it would be fixed, it wasnt and although I chased it up they did not get back to us. We tried to charge in the area but there were no chargers available, which meant my daughter was not able to use her car as she had to conserve the battery until she could get to the services on the way home. Also it would be helpful to supply a hairdryer, if there was one we couldnt find it!
The house was lovely plenty of room for us all and very clean and comfortable. The kids loved the play area. The only downside was there were one or two maintenance issues but nothing that spoiled our holiday and I would certainly stay here again and recommend to others.

Lovely property in a beautiful location. Loads of space for our party of 14 to enjoy. Bedrooms really comfortable. Hosts really couldn't have been any more helpful. Right from the start of our booking nothing was too much. Would definitely stay again.

Stunning property with lots to offer and loads of facilities for all ages that you need to feel at home. There were some maintenance issues with the wine cooler burning out and tripping the electrics whilst we'd been out for the day. Owner offered timely fix sending an electrician, however, it did mean the hot tub became a cold tub at the time we were planning on using it and the fridge was no longer cold with our food and drinks in. There are a few other defects that might require some attention such as the top floor twin bedroom doesn't shut and the blinds in the back room double don't open sufficiently as the cords appear broken. The bbq was also very dirty on arrival. We cleaned it best we could to use it as we'd planned for a bbq but it wasn't a nice job. Overall the property is a great size for a larger group. Plenty of space but felt homely still. The street it is on is really pleasant and greats views to the sea from the top floor sky lights. Garden area is spacious and the children's play area was well used.

This property is set in a stunning location. We booked for our 50th golden wedding anniversary celebration. We were not disappointed. The house is beautiful and our family stay was enjoyed from start to finish. All the facilities offered added to the enjoyment, our grandchildren loved the play area, garden and the jacuzzi. We couldn't operate the karaoke so instructions would have helped. The kitchen equipment was quality and our family loved the novelty of no kettle, grandchildren loved the chilled water on tap. I would recommend a chopping board to protect the work tops. We would put this house on our families list to revisit. We had a fabulous stay.
Avoid at all cost. I am absolutely gutted I booked this for my partner for his 30th paid over 1,500 and it was not what we expected at all! The women told me if was clean and ready for her to go as we asked for early check in the house didnt even look like it had been cleaned. No disinfectant was left, no clothes, no tea towel, no dishwasher tables. The wine cooler didnt work, the fridge wasnt attached to the door so every time we had to get into the fridge it was trapping our fingers as the gap between that and the freezer was too small. The plug in the shower was full of hair the water didnt drain so it flooded the bathroom and we had to use all the towel for that. The dryer didnt work, it comes on but doesnt get hot so nothing dried. I put my daughter in the jacuzzi bath and as soon as I turned in on the black was covered with hair and black mould. The bath in the main bathroom wouldnt stay full as the plug were fitted properly and there was a leak in the bathroom. After I got in bed late and woke up in the morning I was aware I had been sleeping in a bed with someone elses blood in it. This is absolutely disgusting and apparently these things happen. I expect bed sheets and bedding to be changed at a least. The blind didnt work as they were remote ones and the curtains werent black out so the room stayed late which isnt great with children. There were slugs in the downstairs toilet and a gas leak in the bbq room. My brother in law burnt his hand and she didnt even ask if he was ok and just said I wouldnt know if there was a gas leak. The tvs didnt work as they werent connected and we had to sort the electrics out as they kept tripping. When I made her aware of these issue she said her partner would be round who never showed up. She didnt take any responsibility for these matters and has no customer service skills! I hope Sykes makes sure these will all be sorted before another family goes there and has the same problems we did. It isnt fair.
Very quiet location. Superb clean house with 8 fantastic bedrooms. The beds were so comfy. The facilities were amazing, tvs, ninja cooker, piano, karaoke machine, hot water machine, heated floor tiles etc. The jacuzzi was top of the range and much needed due to the bad weather. And there was a very good playground for the children. The owner was amazing. All you need for a fantastic stay.
Wow, what an incredible stay we had! This house definitely lives up to the pictures. The location was perfect not to far from anywhere with a picturesque view to the sea. I was quite blown away with the amount facilities they have there, definitely enough to keep you satisfied. The host nick and Emma where great, they was very helpful and friendly throughout the stay. If you are looking for anywhere in north wales to stay I would 100 recommend to anyone.
