This was such a lovely weekend away. Hot tub was a little work but well worth it. The views are absolutely stunning, I spent many a moment, or few just standing and looking. Highly recommended and we shall return. Thank you

Fantastic location and views. It took a while to get the hot tub to the right temp so we did get more kindle . The Eggs, milk and welsh cakes were a lovely welcoming. The little radio was a great addition to the hut. Came away Relaxed and stress free.

Such a wonderful place. The shepherds hut itself was warm, cosy and well set out but it is the outside space that really sets this place apart. You have your little wood which is great for dogs, a hot tub to wind down in and enjoy the night sky, and then you have the swing seats overlooking the most beautiful view - this was my favourite spot to juRead morest relax. Donna
A lovely romantic getaway with stunning views although take a few extra layers as very chilly winds blow through the hillside even on warmer days. Time and patience needed to prep the hot tub but worth the wait. Very warm, comfy bed for a great nights sleep. Fabulous little place to unwind and relax for a few days.
Ernst
Was a fantastic stay, making fire and enjoying the environment. Cabin is great and well equiped, dream spot

This was an absolute gem of a hut, view was beautiful, totally managed to relax which was well needed. Dogs excitedly explored the woods so they were content. We had an absolutely faultless break in a fantastic setting, staying in fabulous, high quality accommodation. We were very comfortable in well thought out, well equipped facilities. It was so relaxing and enjoyable that our only regret was having to leave - highly recommended for a wonderful break.
Toby
The View of the Valley was a perfect break. We had a lovely relaxing time in a beautiful secluded spot in the woods. The space was well equipped and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Sally
Wow! Wonderful little hut with amazing views.
Christopher
Beautiful place with majestic views and nicely secluded. Close to lovely town of Monmouth too. Only problem was the wood for the fired hot tub, and indoor log burner. It was not seasoned, and would not light. I finally got the stove lit after using all of the kindling but it took ages as kept going out. Never got hot tub lit on the first night afteRead morer hours trying as the logs were way too big and damp. Had to buy some in town next day. Disappointed as no hot tub for girlfriend on her birthday. Hide

Such a beautiful and cosy hut with spectacular views. We felt at home straight away and enjoyed relaxing in the peace and quiet. This little cabin had everything you need and the hot tub under the stars was amazing!
Libby
This was the most idyllic place we have stayed. Everything was perfect. The owners even left fresh milk, eggs from their chickens and Welsh cakes for us on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept on and all you can hear is the nature outside! Our gas did run out one morning but we called the number left in thRead moree book and the owner came down very quickly with his wonderful sheepdog Beth and replaced the canister in no time at all! Very nice and helpful gent! Hide

This was my partner and I's first ever holiday together, and it was absolutely fantastic! The location and views are phenomenal, the hosts were lovely and friendly, the price was more than reasonable in our eyes and the hut had everything we needed and more. We had such a wonderful time and we really can't thank our hosts enough x
Hannah
The shepherd hut exceeded my expectations. The location is in the woods is idyllic and it was so peaceful. The fact that the woods are fenced in was ideal for my dogs as they had the freedom to sniff at their leisure. The kitchen is well equipped to do basic cooking, and the hut itself is so comfortable and cosy. The eggs, milk and Welsh cakes on w elcome were a lovely added extra. As others have mentioned, be careful of attracting the hornets as it goes to dusk and dark with the lights on.
Louise
Lovely shepherds hut accessed along a woodland path. Stunning views with swing seats from an old oak tree. Well equipped with indoor and outdoor furniture and a super comfy bed! Great location to explore too, will definitely be back.
Olivia
Such a lovely and private location, the view is incredible. Loved having the field of sheep next to us aswell. Can't really fault this place. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. Just be careful not to leave the windows/door open at night with any lights on as huge hornets will fly in, we got 3 in at once as we left the door open since the oven k icks out a lot of heat for hours after you use it. But it's in a great location for things to do and places to eat so you can't really go wrong.
Neil
So peaceful and calm, noone within miles except sheep. Just a shame about the weather. Hot tub was amazing. Was expecting to feel cold during the nights and in the morning but was very warm and cozy.
Debbie
Lovely stay in the Shepherds hut very quiet and secluded. Comfy bed and loved relaxing in the hot tub.
Tracey
We really enjoyed our stay at the View of the Valley hut. The location was stunning and remote, which was just what we wanted and the hut itself was just gorgeous with every little detail thought of. We loved the hammock chairs overlooking the stunning valley view and spend many a happy hour sat in them with blankets over us (it was chilly) reading our books and enjoying the lovely scenery. A perfect way to enjoy our Silver Wedding Anniversary break, would highly recommend and hope to return.
Eleanor
Wow! What a view .. perfect and peaceful everything you would need from a week away! I would mention the wood is not properly seasoned, so it is tricky to get going, and we didn't realise there was any coal for the BBQ until the last night (I think the intro guide needs updating) great for dogs and Monmouth had some great dog friendly places (Coffi Lab and estero lounge)
Jennifer
Our third amazing visit and it did not disappoint. Hoping to keep going back for many years to come! Thank you for providing a perfect hut in a perfect location!
Georgiana
This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been! The views alone make it worth paying to stay here but the hut is also lovely. The bed is really comfortable and there is everything you need to do simple meals in the kitchen. My dogs loved the bluebell wood and it was great that they could roam freely. I was incredibly blessed with the wea ther and was able to sit outside the whole time. I saw deer, a hare and lots of birds. Perfect place for countryside lovers.
Lori
We had the most amazing weekend secluded away from the rest of the world surrounded by bluebells, peace and serenity. The views and sunset were gorgeous and we enjoyed our time chatting away in the swinging chairs, around the fire and in the hot tub. Would recommend to any couple wanting a wholesome stay, it was worth every penny!
Miriam
Wonderful hut in an amazing location with great views and lots to do in surrounding area. Hut itself is well equipped for cosy nights in avoiding the cold or out in the sunshine around the camp fire. The bed is SO comfortable!!! A real home from home, we can't wait to visit again.
Janette
Just the perfect getaway. Full of charm and very peaceful.
Beth
Myself & my partner stayed in this gorgeous location for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. The views of the valley are stunning and the hut was very comfortable, the perfect romantic getaway! Big thanks to Tim, an excellent host.
Sarah
Amazing place to stay, comfort and views are excellent and we will definitely be booking again soon!
Ursula
Absolutely incredible! If you want peace and quiet, and to relax, then this is the place for you. We stayed for 4 nights in October and it was perfect.l. no one else about, apart from the odd farmer and cows/sheep in the fields. The hot tub is a nice touch, the swings are ideally placed to watch the sun rise and sun set, and the cabin is lovely, an d high quality. We will be returning.
Alice
An absolutely beautiful slice of peace and tranquillity. The shepherds hut itself was cosy and welcoming with gorgeous finishing touches. The outside areas were absolute heaven. The swinging seats with that view - wow! So lovely to also have the firepit and wood-fired hot tub. We hope to be back soon. Thank you.
Sam
A beautiful and remote location to reconnect with nature and solitude Perfect
Paul
This is our second visit here and it was even better than the last time. The hut and the surroundings are pretty much perfect and there is everything you need and more besides. The sunsets are amazing and it is lovely to sit in the swing chairs or tub to watch it. We enjoyed sitting around the firepit of an evening and we heard the owls each night. All in all pretty much perfect!
Angela
Wow! What a beautiful, secluded location. Wonderfully thought out accommodation for such a compact living area. If peace, tranquility and fresh air is what you are looking for this is definitely the place. We loved every minute.
Nicola
Absoutley perfect way to spend our mini moon, just the 2 of us, in a very peaceful, secluded and beautiful spot. The views are simply amazing, we sat in those swings for hours just relaxing, talking, laughing and occasionally crying happy tears. The milk, eggs and welsh cakes was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. We made good use of the h ot tub during the day and at night. Thankyou again, we hope to return one day soon.
