Welcome to The Mountains House, a spacious and detached holiday home located at the top of Blaenau Ffestiniog, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Snowdonia National Park. This lovely cottage sleeps six people and offers three comfortable double bedrooms, making it perfect for families or groups of friends.

Inside, you'll find a creatively designed kitchen, a separate dining room with a wood burner, and a cosy lounge with a Smart TV and another wood burner. The ground floor features a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, while the two additional double bedrooms are located upstairs, served by a well-appointed bathroom.

Outside, the landscaped gardens offer various levels of green spaces, perfect for morning coffee or evening meals.

The games room, equipped with a pool table, dartboard, and gym equipment, provides endless entertainment.

Nearby attractions include the thrilling Zip World Caverns (2.5 miles), the picturesque Italianate village of Portmeirion (10.5 miles), and the bustling harbour town of Porthmadog (12 miles). Wonderful cottage in excellent central location to explore Snowdonia. The views are incredible and the hot tub was a real treat. The owner was very helpful and informative pre-arrival and has clearly put a lot of thought into this beautiful cottage. Highly recommend!

Penrhyn Castle is a neo-Norman castle is located in the stunning Gwynedd region of Wales. The castle will appeal to those who enjoy sites of historical interest as well as to families looking to enjoy a fun day out. The Castle is in very good condition and guided tours are on offer. Don't miss a look at the grand hall with its exquisite collection of paintings or the Victorian Kitchen which gives amazing insight into the running of the Castle. Other highlights include the Servants Rooms and the one ton slate bed which was originally made for Queen Victoria.

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.
