The place comfortably fits a big group, with 14 cosy bedrooms and plenty of separate areas to chill out or gather together. The open-plan living space is massive and really well thought out. Plus, it’s in such a peaceful, beautiful part of the countryside - totally unspoiled. We couldn’t find a single faultand everyone agreed it was one of the best getaways we’ve had in ages. We honestly loved this place! From the moment we stepped in, it felt like home. The space was just right, not cramped at alland each bedroom had its own en-suite which was a real bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, making cooking a breeze. The hot tub was a lovely touch, especially with those stunning views of the Welsh countryside. Plus, the Welsh cakes, beersand prosecco on arrival were a lovely surprise. We couldn't find a fault with it!

We had a fantastic stay at the Old Cider Press Barn! Storm Babet caused some travel headaches with flooded roads, but the hosts, Mr and Mrs Evans, really looked after us. They left a generous welcome pack since our food delivery was delayed, which was a lovely touch. The barn itself is gorgeous, super well-equippedand the beds are incredibly comfy. The kids loved the hot tubs and games room - it was just what we needed for a relaxing break. Would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic time at The Old Cider Press Barn for my partner’s 40th. The place is ideal for big groups - we were 27 adults and everyone loved it. The interiors are beautifully done, really high quality. All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortableand the bathrooms were modern, spotlessand well-maintained. The outdoor area is stunning with great views, plus two hot tubs which were a hit. The kitchen is huge, perfect for entertaining, fully equippedand big enough for everyone to gather around the table. Hide was a lovely host too!

This National Trust site is one of the finest in Wales. The stunning castle was once a medieval fortress and has been remodelled several times over the last 400 years. The Great Hall is home to some amazing collections of paintings as well as sculptures and tapestries. The gardens are world famous with stunning areas of French and Italian style as well as a gorgeous orangery. Children's activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and on special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas.
Shropshire Wildlife Trust - SY3 5FB

This is a fantastic attraction in the Shrewsbury area of Shropshire.  Designed to provide children with a fun and educational experience the whole family can learn about wildlife here and the outdoors.  There are 38 nature reserves in total and visitors are welcomed and encouraged to enjoy the area by taking part in walks, talks and regular events.  Check out their website for the latest events such as Apple Day and Wildlife through the Seasons.

Llangollen Wharf is one of the major attractions in North Wales and is an excellent place to spend the day as a family. The Wharf is situated in the peaceful market town of Llangollen - now part of a World Heritage Site. Horse Drawn Boat Trips are available along the feeder for the main canal and are a unique way to explore the area. Motorised Aqueduct Cruises are also on offer for those who prefer a slightly faster pace. Both trips allow visitors to take in all the magnificent sites of Llangollen Canal.
