The Old Post Office Reviews

The house is on a busy road, very noisy area. The selling point was the hot tub which did not work. No bins around the house apart from the kitchen bin. Kitchen cupboards dirty inside. We were disturbed quite a bit by workmen and one morning woke up to someone in the house. I wouldnt recommend or stay again

Beautiful inside and out
Lovely cottage, slightly run down but very comfortable and everything available for a nice stay.

We liked the character cottage, which was located in a good position in the village. It's an easy straight road into Fishguard. The hot tub is a bonus. We loved the big kitchen which was clean, modern and light. While there were a couple of saucepans, there were no oven dishes. The everyday china was good. More cutlery would be useful though as it was limited. We would have liked instructions for using the induction? hob, as we found it difficult to use. Our main concern was in the bedrooms. One double bed was VERY low, so worth noting if someone has a problem getting up from a very low position. The pillows were very flat and old. They really need replacing as they were of little use to us. We wanted to buy pillows, but couldn't as it was Easter Sunday! Our duvet cover also looked faded. It would be useful to have some drawers in the bedroom, but we managed for 3 days. So the bedrooms let the property down a bit and could do with some attention. All in all we enjoyed our stay in the cottage, which was very spacious and there was good carpeting throughout. To make the lounge more homely, perhaps a few more pictures on the walls and a couple of table lamps would be nice.

Excellent location to explore Pembrokeshire, you have local chippy , pub , couple shops for what is required, as this is a new venture for the owner there will be some teething issues which will only make the place better for future guests. 1. The Hot tub was fantastic, you could consider installing some see through cover over the hot tub and outside lights, it was to just chill out in evenings after day exploring. 2.The log fire another great addition, perhaps consider having a basket of logs ready or explain to guests where they can purchase them from, we went to local shop no more than ten pounds for everything needed. 3.The TV maybe consider free view as its working off the wifi and we did not have passwords with us for channels. The rooms were very spacious and in time perhaps some new bedroom draws and some new paint or TLC, just freshens the place up. overall I would stay here again the owner was very proactive , any issues give him call as lives less than ten minutes away. Fantastic location to explore pembrokeshire.

The cottage was well placed in a rural setting to explore pembrokeshier the cottage had everything you needed with a good welcome pack with a first class host a good size hot tub with a log burner which made the cottage so cosy on the dark wet night looking forward to going back for a short stay again soon
Spacious property with great potential. Excellent position for visiting Pembrokeshire. The provision of kitchen equipment could be much more extensive as there was only the bare minimum, plus the current pans really need replacing. An explanation of how to deal with waste and recycling is definitely necessary as it seemed to be a very complicated system. Some drawers and storage in the bedrooms would be most useful. However, the beds were very comfortable. There seemed to be a problem with the cleaning when we arrived, which the owner came and resolved himself. Overall, if these issues are resolved, this would be a lovely holiday property.
