Y Stabl Reviews

Lovely cottage Great to be greeted and given all the info we needed including recommendations. Steve was always available and helpful if we needed anything. Great location too and beautiful countryside.
Lovely property, owner Steve was very welcoming and their if we needed any help.
The accommodation was as advertised in the listing so was what we expected. No issues while we stayed and everything was fine. Nice welcome box on arrival and owner introduced himself and explained the facilities to us. We did not use the hot tub but that was our choice. The cottage gave us a comfortable base to explore the local area.

Great selfcatering accommodation for a couple wishing to explore Pembrokeshire.

Y Stabl makes a great base for exploring the north Pembrokeshire coastal area. Owner Steve gave us a lovely welcome and advice on walks and things to see in the area, and there is a very helpful information folder including recommendations for wet days and leaflets. Oh, and a generous welcome pack. And as for the hot tub brilliant!
Very friendly, helpful hosts Hot tub warm, clean and well maintained with a lovely little garden. Ystbl quirky with great facilities and a lovely welcome box. A great stay, quiet and relaxing area, close to many wonderful cliff walks and places of interest.

We had a lovely long Bank Holiday break at Y Stabl. We walked in and immediately felt at home, Steve was so kind and showed us everything we needed as well as pinging us during the long journey there. We settled straight way and got the wine and food on. The equipment was adequate for what we needed, and we managed spaghetti bolognaise, a stew and a pork Sunday lunch we cook a lot as part of our diet needs! The welcome basket was lovely, and I dont think there was anything left by the time we did! The walks were also lovely, and we found plenty of places to sit and have lunch along the way. The weather was kind, and we thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi to get back to, nice and simple to use, and the privacy was also fine as you are quite out in the countryside. It was also lovely to read how many people have been coming there for many many years when the swimming pool was there! Again, thank you we needed to rest our heads and hearts and we able too
A place of heaven, restful, quiet, fabulously placed to get everywhere with minimal hassle and time. The property has everything both in and out.
A very warm and friendly welcome by Steve and a useful supply of tea and coffee samples, a Welsh cake and a bottle of wine. The cottage was in a very peaceful location but close enough to main roads to be able to explore the area. An enjoyable week and would recommend to others.
Excellent cottage with everything you need in a lovely location. Owners helped and advised when we asked and were lovely to us. Overall we had a wonderfully relaxing week between the cottage and its hot tub

We had a lovely week in the cottage. It was beautiful and had everything we needed! It was close to all that Pembrokeshire has to offer! We also managed to use the hot tub which was an extra bonus after a long day of hiking. Steve was a lovely man and there to greet us when we arrived!
Jennifer
We are so impressed with Y Stabl. It was so cosy and comfortable . Thankyou Steve and family for a lovely stay.
Philip
We had a really lovely week in Y Stabl. The spacious cottage is very well equipped with just about everything you may need. The comfy bed and cosy duvet are fabulous! The hot tub is great after a day of sightseeing. Steve, the owner, is very welcoming and on hand if you need anything but not obtrusive. We'd definitely recommend Y Stabl as a great break.
Raymond
Good location for points of interest within a 25 to 30 miles radius. Nice and quiet for a restful stay. Steve owner readily on hand if required and knowledgeable about the area with respect to visits. Ample tourist information in the cottage. Internet, WiFi and Sky mobile signals a bit temperamental while we were there however weather probably didn't help in this respect.
Comfortable clean cottage excellent for sheltering from the storms! Owners were constantly available if necessary and very kind.
A lovely warm welcome and some treats from Steve the owner. A lovely cottage too, everything we needed and the perfect base to explore Pembrokeshire. Many thanks.
Kirsty
Fantastic week here the stable is clean, tidy and charming. Everything you need is supplied the owners made us feel so welcome too, gorgeous Welsh bara brith cake and wine on our arrival. This may be a small gesture but it conveys a really warm welcome missing in many places our last week away in Brixham had nothing! Steve is great, friendly and really knowledgeable about the area. Hes there when needed but never intrusive. Lovely friendly cat around too we fussed over. Hot tub was just brilliant and we used it every day. Note that the bad review posted on here by somebody previously is complete rubbish hot tub is NOT overlooked by the owner and is private enough, you can sit at the back of it and you cannot even see the house!! Area is beautiful fantastic coastal walks in all directions. Lots of clean towels and bath robes for hot tub are provided. Thank you again for a lovely holiday!
Lovely place to stay south of Fishguard. Met the owner and his wife, who were both charming and very helpgful. Highly recommended.
A delightful and comfortable stable conversion in the Pembrokeshire countryside which is a credit to Steve and Eilir. Steve met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome with a thorough explanation of the facilities and local places of interest that we may wish to visit. A great place in a good location, we managed to visit much of the stunning coastline. We had no issues whatsoever and particularly enjoyed the hot tub. We found ourselves caught out one day and Steve went out of his way TWICE to help us ON HIS BIRTHDAY too! Lovely place, lovely people, lovely cat. Shame the owners were around when we departed of Gwyndu would have a Yorkshire address now Faultless.

Private although the friendly owners are nearby for advice on surrounding areas etc if required. Very pleasant and enjoyable stay !
From the moment that we arrived and were greeted by the lovely owners Steve and Gili, we knew we had made a perfect choice for our holiday. They were so friendly and helpful, the cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, it had everything we needed to enjoy our week away. The hot tub is superb and with your own patio and lawn you are left to enjoy your holiday in privacy but also knowing that nothing is too much trouble should you need any help with anything. First class accommodation and first class hosts. Thank you both, we hope to return for another superb holiday.
Robert
A spacious, comfortable cottage with everything you need for a great break exploring the North Pembrokeshire coast. The WiFi Internet service is 200 Mbs which is faster than at home. The secluded hottub provides a private relaxed space to chill out after a days walking. Clean towels and robes for use around the hot tub are also provided as an added bonus. The owner was helpful and accommodating, available to help with any requirements and provided good advice for places to visit. We benefited from sunny weather, and not having explored this part of Wales before, we found plenty to keep us occupied within a 20minute drive, in either direction along the coast.
Jacqui
We had a lovely week at Y Stabl. Owners were lovely and friendly beautiful goodies on arrival. Hot tub was amazing and very clean and private really nice after our long walks. We had everything we needed in the cottage and it was very comfortable and cosy. Would highly recommend this cottage
Unfortunately our stay was cut very short with us only being able to stay the 1 night before having to leave. There was a miscommunication between Sykes and the owner before arriving so they weren't expecting us but Steve was more than accommodating and got the property ready promptly, which was greatly appreciated. The cottage itself is beautiful and finished to a very high standard however we did feel the description and photo angles published are somewhat misleading stating the owners property is opposite it is in fact in the garden, or your stay is in theirs should we say. The 2 are in extremely close proximity to one another and both are overlooking the other. It wasn't quite the romantic stay we were expecting as we could see into their home and them into the cottage and hot tub from almost every angle. For us the the property would be perfect if not for the location unfortunately.
Steven
This is a truly stunning cottage, beautifully maintained, well equipped and roomy, a perfect couple getaway, the hot tub was a wonderful treat for us at the end of each day. Fabulous central location, so much to do and places to visit not too far away. Steve, our host, was there to greet us and made us feel very comfortable, a nice bottle of wine and Bara Brith made for an awesome and unexpected welcome. At the end of our stay we were sad to leave. We would love to visit this beautiful home and area again sometime in the future.
Very clean, comfortable cottage. Very good location. Owners were very friendly
Wonderful stay in a cozy cottage, good distance from beautiful Welsh coast
Great cottage for 2 people in central location for N Pembrookshire. The hot tub was an added bonus. Steve and his wife were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely cottage.
Philip
Excellant stay Very friendly owners exceeded our expectations
Angela
Great location. Loads of beachs to visit near by . The garden was keep to an high standard , hot tub was great set up towels and robes in the shed next to hot tub . Cottage was home from home everything you need was there just amazing . Hosts where friendly and left us Welsh cake , wine and after eights . We will return again next yr the weather was amazing . It was delightful to go out walking beachs everyday and than return to the cottage and sit on patio . Cant fault this place truly delightful.
Beautiful quirky cottage, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Lots to see and do if you are prepared to drive to other towns nearby. Fishguard itself needs a boost. Lots of shops closed down or empty. On the whole we had a lovely relaxing stay, our only negative comment would be that the owners live very close and a third property is currently being renovated leaving it feeling overlooked. Some kind of privacy screening would be worth a thought or to mention this in the description
What a wonderful find Y Stabl was. It was exactly as described in the details and the photos did it justice. Steve met us when we arrived, showed us around and explained a few things. He is very friendly, helpful and would have been approachable had we have needed any further assistance. But, then he left us to enjoy our holiday. The cottage is very interesting, homely and had lots of tourist information to help you decide where to visit. There are also DVDs, books and games. The bed was so incredibly comfortable. The cottage is set in a peaceful location with only the occasional once a day passing car. The hot tub was a daily delight especially after a day of walking. Robes and extra towels are provided for the hot tub. It was very clean and hygienic. There is a fish pond and water feature in the garden and even when the jets were off, it was so relaxing to sit in the hot tub listening to the trickling sounds and the birdsong. We feel like we've been on a spa retreat. It's an ideal location for reaching both coasts. So many beautiful walks to do. But, also plenty of lovely towns to explore when the weather isn't favourable. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
Lived up to our expectations, had a lovely time, nice and central location, cottage was clean and tidy, owners were very friendly, nice cake and wine on arrival was a nice touch!
