Our stay at Fin Mia was genuinely lovely. Everything we could possibly need was providedand the outdoor spaces really made it special - the hammock, hot tuband outdoor shower were all highlights. We loved relaxing while watching sheep and wildlife from the hot tub. The views are stunning and peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed exploring nearby Skirrid and the surrounding area. There's plenty to do and see, honestly a great find!

The Copper Kettle cafe serves tasty food and friendly service, perfect before heading to Skirrid. Definitely a place we'd recommend if you're around the area.

We had a fantastic time here! The cabin was really spacious, with cosy underfloor heating and a log burner that made it super comfy. The shower was greatand the views-one side of Skirrid, the other of lush green fields-were stunning. It’s perfect for a chill weekend, especially with your own outdoor space. The parking spot at the base of Skirrid is only a quick 30-second walkand Abergavenny is just a short drive away. The on-site cafe is lovely too, with tasty food and excellent coffee. We’ll definitely be back!

Wow, what a lovely shepherd's hut! The private garden with the sauna and hot tub was a real highlight, offering peace and stunning views of the surrounding fields. The owners are incredibly welcoming and really go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. The hut stayed warm even in Decemberand the cozy fireplace was a lovely touch. We recently enjoyed a lovely few days at FinMia. It was just what we needed for our mini-moon - really felt like a cosy escape. The location is fantastic, with plenty of scenic walks nearby in the gorgeous countryside. Copper Kettle Café next door served up a cracking breakfast as well. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available. 
Puzzlewood - GL16 8QB

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Cantref Adventure Farm - LD3 8LR

Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.
Rhondda Heritage Park - CF37 2NP

Rhondda Heritage Park is located at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is a popular attraction with a range of facilities including a visitor centre, an art gallery, a gift shop, and a lovely period re-constructed Village Street.  Fully guided tours are available and include multimedia presentations as well as a unique trip underground where visitors will experience the life of a coal miner. The site also boasts a children's play area and an underground experience zone.

Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café.
