Granary Reviews

Emily
We had a lovely stay at the Granary! Maggie was super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The cottage’s size was perfect, with a private lawn right next to the kids’ play area and the swimming pool-great for families. The views of the countryside are stunningand the modern kitchen had everything we needed. Bedrooms had plenty of storage, though the furniture was a bit dated. The pool was a hit with everyone, but the water pressure in the shower was low - probably due to the spring-fed water supply. Still, we loved it!
Emma
We loved staying here! The location is perfect for discovering Abergavenny and nearby spots - it’s quite rural but still close to charming pubs and eateries. The cottage is peaceful and cosy, with a well-stocked kitchen. Maggie was super friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed unwinding in the pool and jacuzzi after a long day of hiking.
Sophie
We stayed in the Granary cottage, enjoying its private garden with views of the fields, mountainsand a few horses, goatsand chickens. Sitting outside was so peaceful. Plus, the indoor pool and hot tub made our stay really special. We loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The cottage was surprisingly spacious and cosy, with the pool just behind our door which we used every day-so handy. The kids loved the play area and the big grass patch to kick a ball around. Bluebell the goat was a big hit with the little ones, they adored her! The kitchen was well-stocked and had loads of useful books about the appliances. Plenty to explore around Abergavenny, we had a lovely week overall.

We recently stayed at Buttercup Barn on Werngochlyn Farm and honestly, it was fantastic. The kids loved the pool and the games room, plus the animals around the farm added a lovely touch. The best part was walking to Skirrid Mountain just a short stroll away - such stunning views! Maggie was super friendly and made us feel really welcome, always ready to help if needed. We wish we’d found this place sooner; it’s a real good place for a family getaway. Can’t wait to come back!
Emma Carter
We booked the Granary for a family getaway and honestly, it was perfect. Plenty of space for all six of usand the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved spending time in the garden and took advantage of the pool and games room daily. Maggie was super friendly and helpful throughout. Definitely a great place to unwind and explore the area!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at Granary Cottage. The views over the countryside and Skirrid are simply stunning. The kitchen was recently renovated and had everything we needed. The lounge with logs for the wood burner was cosy, though it was a bit chilly in the evenings. The kids loved feeding the goats and collecting eggs. There’s plenty to do nearby-canoeing, steam trains, Big Pit mineand even wild water swimming. It’s not fancy, but we’d definitely recommend it for a fun family holiday!
