The place was spotless and stylish, with those big floor-to-ceiling windows that made birdwatching a delight. Honestly, we’d love to come back soon!

The lodge is tucked away in a peaceful spot, yet it’s surprisingly near plenty of amenities. Nights are super quiet and relaxing. We loved the lovely views and watching the cheeky squirrels scampering around. The hot tub was a highlight! Owners are friendly but respectful of your privacy. Definitely recommend!

We stayed at the lodge for our anniversary and honestly, it was just what we needed. The place was super cosy, spotlessand really peaceful, which made for a relaxing break. Our dog was totally spoiled too, with a bed, bowlsand towels provided-big plus! The owners were lovely but gave us plenty of space, only checking in if we needed anything. The hot tub was a real treatand the weather was perfect-though, of course, that’s not guaranteed. All in all, a lovely getaway!

It was exactly what we needed after a hectic few weeks. The hot tub was a real highlight! We loved the location, especially the walk along the canal and the nearby pub. We’re already planning to come back soon. Definitely recommend for a chilled escape!

We loved the place! Perfect spot to explore South Walesand the property is surprisingly modern - not your usual lodge vibe. Storage is a bit tight, but doable for a few days. Sharing the land with the owners isn’t an issue; it still feels quite private thanks to how it's laid out. Would visit again!

This place is a great little hideaway! It’s very clean, tidy and definitely comfortable. We did loads of walking so being able to soak in the hot tub was such a treat for our tired feet and legs. The owner provided loads of free washing and dishwasher tabsand there’s ample drying space at the back of the property. If you enjoy walking, there’s a fab route down the canal into the lovely little town of Abergavenny. Overall, it's just really nice and we wouldn't think twice about coming back. The owners were super helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

We’ve just come back from a fantastic 4-night stay at Limetree Lodge. The location is lovely and even though the owners live nearby, we were able to enjoy our stay without any interruption. The lodge was immaculately clean and really well equipped. There was loads of information provided by the owners about places to visit during our stay. It was a perfect way to celebrate my 50th birthdayand we would definitely recommend a stay at the lodge to anyone!
Charlotte
We stayed here over Christmas and it was absolutely perfect. We're used to staying in caravans, so we always bring along dish cloths and salt and pepper, but this wasn’t needed here. The lodge had everything we needed and more. The location was great for long walks with the dogand everything you could need is within walking distance. Even though this is in the owner's garden, we never felt like our privacy was compromised. We would definitely visit again!
Mark
What a fabulous lodge! The views from the hot tub and balcony were truly outstanding. It had everything we needed for a fantastic week! The bed was really comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The cottage was well heated, but once we got the log burning fire going, we didn't need any other heating at all. The location was excellent for great walks and just a short stroll to the village of Gilwern. The hosts were friendly, approachableand provided plenty of local information without being intrusive.
James
