Buzzard Lodge Reviews

Had a really enjoyable time at buzzard lodge. It was isolated but not to far away from main amenities. Shrewsbury is about 20 mins away from the park and ride and the ironworks museum is just down the road. The owner is really approachable to contact if there is a problem and is very keen on feedback, and respects your privacy at all times. We really enjoyed our week here and as a returning customer also, I would also say that I will be back again. Lovely place
Jessica
An absolutely brilliant place to stay, very private and tranquil. Lodge was clean and had everything we needed and the hot tub was fab! We will definitely book again. If you want a romantic getaway or somewhere to totally unwind and relax then book this! Great communication from host too.
Absolutely perfect lodge, very well spec'd, has all you need to make your stay comfortable.
Lovely mini break in a lovely private setting.
Ronald
We enjoyed an excellent week at this well provided and designed, spotless lodge. The hot tub was maintained daily and we enjoyed it immensely. We would have liked instructions for the use of the electrical goods in the kitchen as it became a case of trial and error.
Louise
A really lovely private secluded property with everything you need. The hot tub was a real added bonus and was well used. Bottle of bubbly left for us to enjoy was also lovely. Owners very helpful with a few issues and all quickly resolved. We had a lovely meal at Cross Keys, Kinnerley. Due to very hot weather we couldn't do all the walking we planned but still had a great time. Only thing we would say and mostly hot weather related was the lack of a freezer box in the fridge meant we could not use ice blocks to keep packed lunches fresh. Really beautiful and luxurious holiday cottage.
Lovely place and surroundings, fantastic facilities, lovely visits from the owners dog wich some how made the trip better. Would 100 come back and recommend to friends.
If you are wanting peace and quiet and also privacy with a bit of luxury as well then this is the place for you the lodge we stayed in had everything and a lot more, yhe area around this small park has lovely villages and one of the best places to visit is known as iron age sculpturers. Iwould certainly make a return visit. stayed sept 22 margaret

Tracey
A very enjoyable stay, the owner was lovely and nothing was too much trouble, poppy the dog was gorgeous, Serene Idyllic Quiet Relaxing Absolutely bliss Would definitely recommend to others.
The photos of this property do not do it justice. The general area is peaceful and the property is cosy, spacious and overall faultless. You have your own private garden, a large private hot tub. Front drive with parking and multiple doors, including double doors in the bedroom and lounge allowing drafts of cool fresh air in the summer. Also the property includes a large kitchen, outdoor table and chairs also sun loungers. Would highly recommend staying here, good value for money and many shops and attractions nearby.
Corinne
We had a wonderful time, what a beautiful place to relax and recoup. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you
Sandra
Have just returned from a fabulous week at Acksea Lodge, cannot recommend highly enough, The Lodge was clean and comfortable and very homely, everything was catered for from hot tub to bbq, lovely garden. Setting and surroundings were outstanding. If you want peace and tranquility this is the place. Friendly hosts always on hand if needed.

A really homely lodge with little extras which added a nice personal touch. The hot tub was great way to relax in the evening with the lights
5 stars all the way, home from home, warm and clean thanks for the champain and milk. Although a little off the beaton track its what we wanted and the road links are nearbuy .The bird life was amazing even at this time of year , with a Jay visiting our private garden most mornings. The colours of the autum trees were amazing ,and we explored the area .We most definatley enjoyed the cabin and would most definatley recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet retreat , thank you so much and we will be back in the spring summer.
Gillian

The log cabin was in a lovely location. It was extremely clean and had all the appliances that we would need. We was very impressed and would definitely go back again.

One word Amazing
Kieran
It was a very nice stay , was really comfortable and well maintained. The hot tub was the perfect addition to the lodge, the outside area was very spacious and perfect to have breakfast in the sun. The only minor fault Id say is it couldve done with a freezer but we managed without one anyway it wasnt a huge problem. Would 100 recommend for a romantic getaway in the middle of nowhere.
We had an amazing honeymoon at Acksea Lodge. The hot tub was what drew us to this particular property, and it did not disappoint. We have a layz spa hot tub at home, but we enjoyed the Tuff Spa at the lodge far more! The BBQ facilities were fab too, and so easy to use. We were able to sit outside on the lovely garden table most days and enjoy the beautifully kept garden area. Inside, we loved the open plan layout of the kitchen lounge area. Everywhere was spacious and well equipped although we did find the bathroom a little small considering the size of the rest of the roomsproperty. Plenty of parking and good privacy. The hot tub was cleaned for us every morning around 10am. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The bedroom is big so we thought a super king size bed or two singles next to each other could definitely work to improve sleep comfort but other than that we had a perfect stay and would definitely recommend! Thanks ever so much!

Graham
Beautiful lodge in peaceful surroundings. Brilliantly equipped. Could happily spend the whole day relaxing in the hot tub and in the garden. Plenty to do and explore in the area and the owner was very welcoming and happy to share info on the local highlights. Highly recommended!
