Pastures Barn

This was our fourth visit to Pastures Barn and it was as excellent as always. We're already deciding what dates will be best for a visit next year! The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, and the hosts have thought of everything to make their guests' stay as wonderful as possible. We had an evening meal cooked by our host and it was absolutely delicious. We were able to visit the Wildlife Park as our lovely doggy was looked after for us, and he had as good a time as we did. Everything was spotlessly clean, lashings of hot water, comfortable beds and convivial evenings spent in the Party Shack or in the hot tub. I don't think a weekend could be better.

We had a wonderful week at Pastures Barn. The house was clean and well equipped, especially for children and dog owners. Jo and Giles provided dog beds, towels and throws for the furniture and the artificial grass in the gated patio area meant the dogs paws were clean if they nipped out for a wee. Outside the gated patio was a larger section of grass, great for garden games, which were stored in the shed. The games room was a fantastic addition to the accommodation, we spent hours playing pool, darts, fussball, air hockey, table tennis and singing on the karaoke. The hot tub and sauna were lovely for relaxing in. Additional towels were also provided for the hot tub and sauna. The gates at the top and bottom of the stairs gave us reassurance that the dog couldnt sneak up the stairs and the toddler couldnt sneak down without our knowledge. This allowed us to sleep well in the comfortable beds. We also took advantage of the dog sitting service so we could have a family day out to Alton Towers. Jo sent me a couple of reassuring messages throughout the day and our 15yearold Collie was very content in their home. In addition to Alton Towers there are some lovely places to visit. If you like a market day, head to Bakewell on a Monday. Monkey Forest and Trentham Shopping Village are about 40 mins away and worth a visit. Closer to the barn there is a large park, caf and beautiful walks at Tittesworth Water.

What a wonderful stay we had at Pastures Barn. The facilities are fantastic and the barn is beautifully decorated, with high quality furnishings. We all slept so well on super comfortable beds in the most peaceful surroundings. The evening sunsets were a delight as were the views. We made use of the sauna, hot tub and games room daily. We had the pleasure of meeting Jo and the giant fur babies which we loved. Our stay was so enjoyable we will be booking to return with more of our family in Pastures Barn and Parlour Barn next year and we cant wait. Every thought had been put into making our stay fantastic, Jo and Giles have created a very special place that is perfect for making memories whatever the weather.

What a delightful cottage. Spotlessly clean and spacious for us 6 adults & 1 toddler & 2 dogs. The game shack is fab, we had great evenings in there playing all of the games and singing on the karaoke, lots of space and room for the toddler to run around. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The hottub and sauna were a wonderful addition. We will definitely be booking again

Genuinely cannot think of anything negative to say about this let. Three lovely bedrooms, gorgeous spacious kitchen and cosy, relaxed lounge. The games room is wonderful and could not have been better for my husband and teenaged son. Loved that there were safety gates top and bottom of stairs and 'no dogs upstairs' policy as it would have been impossible to keep our energetic black dog off the white bedding without them and I would have spent 3 days stressing over it! Great place for dog walks. Secure garden area with AstroTurf for dog so he could run in and out freely without having his paws wiped every time. Dog towels and throws provided for the 3 leather sofas although we'd taken our own. All the little extra welcome gifts gave it a really special holiday feel and including the important supplies like bin bags, dishwasher tablets and kitchen rolls although I'd taken them, not expecting everything to be so well stocked was very thoughtful as it's a bit of a faff to drive into Leek everything you've forgotten something. Everything was spotless, especially considering it's a dog friendly let. Will definitely return.

The property and facilities were awesome. It had everything we needed for a relaxing break away. The property was clean and well decorated. The sauna and hot tub were just what we needed and what can I say about the games room it was just the icing on the cake. I would definitely recommend this property and would definitely go back.

Lovely cottage very well maintained and with brilliant facilities . Families will love the games room and anyone taking a dog, well the walks around are fantastic. highly recommended by our whole family.

Lovely house, lots of extras and we had a wonderful despite bad weather.

We really enjoyed our stay at the barn and can't wait to return. Two fun nights in the game shack have given us great memories and photos!

Pastures barn is a beautiful property, decorated to a very high standard, clean and attention to detail perfect. The facilities were excellent and all set in a lovely part of the peak district. Jo and Giles were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful holiday and would have stayed longer if we were able to explore more of the surrounding area.

Fantastic place, amazing facilities.

Absolutely lovely home from home. It had everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed sunny evenings in the outside space, a perfect end to the day. Just perfect.

It was beautiful. Everything was luxurious. A play room with retro games all to ourselves. Beautiful sunset and rich farmland. Hot tub, sauna, BBQ. Couldn't fault anything.

An absolute gem! The Barn has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and inside is such a warm and welcoming interior , The kitchen has everything to cook meals and is cosy to sit at the large table and chat and all the rooms are individually tasteful. There is a lovely sauna and the hot tub was great after a long day's walking. The Games Shack was fantastic with numerous games and entertainment. A truely amazing place to spend a few days with the family and dog.

This was my third stay at the Barn, and we've have booked again for a weekend in November. The barn is beautiful, with everything you could wish for during a rural retreat. We went to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday, and we couldn't have found anywhere better. We went with our family, and the children were thrilled with the Games Shack, and the dog loved the walks he needed hosing down before going into the house the doggy towels provided were extremely welcome. Jo, our host, made our evening meal on Saturday night delicious, and the home made bread didn't make it to the following lunchtime. A lovely weekend for us all to remember. Surprisingly, the weather was good too!

Great week in a lovely property in a beautiful location. The barn was fully equipped we everything we could need especially the kitchen.We were a party of 6 adults celebrating a milestone birthday and had great fun using the sauna, hot tub and amazing games room. Jo looked after our dog so we could all go out for Sunday lunch and went to the trouble of coming to meet him beforehand. Would definitely recommend!

We had a fabulous week away in Pastures Barn. Jo and Gyles have gone the extra mile to ensure the house was packed with loads of added extras for both humans and 4 legged friends, truly there was nothing we needed for the whole week. The hot tub, sauna and games room were a welcome addition and we made use of them frequently. There was plenty of space for the little ones to run around and the dogs particularly enjoyed playing Frisby in the field. Thanks again for a great week and we look forward to visiting again.

Just the most wonderful holiday! Thank you! Relaxation, comfort, Prosecco in the hot tub, donkey Kong, table tennis and some outrageous karaoke. To quote the kids it was better than Disney World Orlando!

This is an amazing country cottage, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. All high quality fixtures and fittings. A very comfortable stay with a four legged friends. Very well situated for country walks. The games shack and hot tub set it way above any other cottage we have looked at and we will be booked for the 3rd year next year.

What a fantastic weekend, this was a surprise weekend away for my 50th birthday, the site cannot do enough for you. The facilities were fantastic, the barn is beautiful, very clean, well equipped, high quality. The barn had its own hot tub, sauna, games, and we had use of the games room evening. All in all a fantastic location and accommodation, cannot recommend them enough and will definitely come back again.

Pastures Barn was absolutely wonderful. The location is stunning making that morning cup of tea with those views was a joy and the cottage itself gorgeous. The hot tub, sauna and games room were amazing for the kids and wonderful to have during inclement weather!, and I cannot recommend Jo's cooking highly enough do treat yourself to a meal if you stay. We loved it so much that we have booked to go back again next year!

We stayed for the weekend to celebrate Galentines and it was the ideal place. Everything was so homely, including the welcome pack from Jo and Giles. The games room was the perfect addition! We absolutely loved our stay and didn't want it to end! We cant wait to come back.

We stayed at Pastures Barn In January 2023 and what a fabulous week we had. The holiday was booked as a surprise for our Mums 60th Birthday and we stayed here as a family. Pastures Barn really had the Wow factor. The barn is in a stunning location with amazing views you can even see the sun set from the kitchen windows and there are lovely walks right on your doorstep. The barn is beautifully clean and the dcor throughout is beautiful and very tastefully designed. Every attention is given to detail. The facilities were absolutely outstanding, fully equipped kitchen, with every type of utensil you could need, a beautiful range cooker which again was immaculate inside and out. The hot tub, sauna and steam room were a lovely added extra, we loved just sitting in the hot tub and admiring the views, even robes were provided and the games room was absolutely brilliant. We had lots of fun as a family in the games room, which offers table tennis, hockey table, table football, pool table, karaoke etc. Even in the games room the dcor was carefully thought out, which didnt go unmissed. Even photos were on the wall to show the stages of how the barns had all been converted, this is something we all appreciated and enjoyed looking at. The owners Jo & Giles contacted me the day before our stay and were very attentive and welcoming, if we needed anything we were able to contact them of course we didnt need anything! Everything a guest could need and more had already been provided. But this was a lovely added touch from both of them. If you would like a bit of peace and tranquillity and luxury Pastures Barn is for you! A fantastic place to stay to get away from the world! We look forward to staying here again! The barn is as near perfect as it is possible to be. The hosts have thought of everything possible to make a stay with them absolutely amazing. We a group of NHS staff all had a wonderful time the hot tub and party barn used to full advantage plus the log burner. We had food prepared for us , and it was lovely too. This is our second stay, and although we cant make it next year, I will be looking at finding time for a weekend for my family. I have already recommended it to several friends.

Amazing place to stay. We stayed with the family to celebrate our sons birthday and we all had a fantastic time. The barn was well equipped, immaculately clean, very spacious and every room was decorated to a high standard. The hot tub and sauna were perfect and we had great fun in the games shack. The location is also amazing with views over the countryside and it is a short drive to some lovely walks for example, Dove Dale and the Roaches. We sampled Jos cooking one night and were not disappointed. The food was delivered to us hot and ready to serve. It was very tasty. We will definitely be returning!!

Giles & Jo are the perfect hosts. They are there for anything you need, but never interfere. We ordered a meal from them for 7 people and it was fabulous. Delivered to the door & ready to serve. Absolutely perfect after a long day in the hot tub. The games room they have has everything in it you can think of and a few you can't. I won't spoil the surprise if you're thinking of going. Don't hesitate to book this if its on your radar or you could miss out on one of the best holidays you've ever booked. Everything was top class and we couldn't fault it. Once again Giles & Jo are fabulous hosts and they have thought of everything you may wantneed whilst staying in their beautiful property. PS. Don't pack towels for the hot tub, they provide them too & robes.
