Saddlers Reviews

Saddlers is situated in a lovely quiet location. The property is fabulous, very spacious, warm and has everything you need to make your stay memorable. Rachael and Paul made us feel very welcome, the prosecco and cupcakes were a lovely touch. We would highly recommend Saddlers and will certainly return ourselves if we come back to the area.
Saddlers was a perfect weekend getaway for my partners birthday. The property is clean, well maintained and has all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was a nice touch and a great way to unwind. Our host Rachael was very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay and recommended a number of great activities with the family locally like Trentham Gardens. The towns of Uttoxeter and Stone are only a short drive away for nice restaurants & bars. We would highly recommend Saddlers and would definitely stay again in future!

Comfortable, clean and well equipped, garden perfect for our dog, owners friendly and very helpful. Lovely cupcakes and prosecco on arrival.
Wonderful place, thoroughly enjoyed the stay, very welcoming host. Would be great to have some cushions or an improvement in the outdoor seating to enjoy being outside with a little more comfort would be my only suggestion.

We have had a pleasent stay loved the view and being in the farm with that view we was lucky as the area felt like london not much to do apart from monkey forest we have enjoyed. On the discription of booking said fulford which is right but next to it said peak district derbyshire dales which wasnt we had to do 35 miles to get there it was more near to stokeontrent but the lodge i have nothing to say about it was verry clean hot tub was great everything we needed was there we have enjoyed each day there thankyou to owner rachel verry helpfull its a great lodge for those who want to have a peacefull time and dont go out much to visit tourist places for us if we dont count the area we have enjoyed the peacefull lodge and the beautifull farm will defo go back sometime just to rest and be away from lot of things thankyou again
The property is great, spacious, clean and in a very peaceful location. The property is 15 mins away from the Trentham estate which is a popular location.
Elaine

Warwick
Lovely stay in a wonderful property in a brilliant location. The hot tub was great after a long day!
A lovely property with really friendly hosts. Highly recommend to anyone, thank you Rachael, Paul and Ted
Lovely place to stay, clean and modern. Very friendly owner Rachael was welcoming and helpful. Communication prior to stay was excellent with detailed directionskey code beforehand. Nice quiet location and private. Hot tub was fab and maintained throughout stay. Prosecco and cakes on arrival which was a bonus. The log burner was nice, would definitely stay here again.
We had a lovely time in saddlers cottage, the view is amazing, the cottage has been designed and decorated to highest standards possible. The host Rachel was very welcoming. Time went very fast, I would really comment saddlers cottage its worth every penny, you wont be disappointed!
Hayley

Fantastic and friendly hosts that offer great accommodation. Very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay and we would thoroughly recommend Saddlers. Thank you once again.
Michelle
A lovely cottagelodge. The owner was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Lots of extra nice little touches.
We had a really enjoyable stay with our kids and dog. The property is very nicely finished and the owner Rachael was very helpful. We enjoyed local pub walks despite some rather soggy weather and the hot tub on return was super. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxed rural Staffordshire break. Thank you Rachael, you have a very nice property in a lovely setting and the cupcakes and fizz on arrival was a lovely gesture.
Great property, clean tidy with all mod cons. Comfy bed and lovely aspect. Hot tub is a must. Rachael is on hand and a great host. Loved the fizz and mince pies on arrival. Well placed for Trentham, Shugborough and the Peak District. Will return at some point.
Joanne
We had a wonderful time at Saddlers. It was a great find and the perfect retreat for us. Rachael and Paul were the perfect hosts and Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely go back again to stay longer and explore more of the surrounding areas.
Elaine
Im sorry we had to leave early because my husband was not well but we enjoyed it very much.
The Saddlers is a lovely property. It was clean, cosy and comfortable. Racheal was very responsive to all our questions and needs, a fantastic and attentive host. The log fire was lovely, sofas comfy and everything you could need was available in the kitchen. Our visits from Ted the friendly dog from next door were a lovely surprise, and it was nice seeing the cows graze in the field in the mornings. If I was being very critical, the bin was a little far from the kitchen, and the lid could do with fixing. And the microwave was a little rusty on the inside, it could do with being replaced. But honestly, these are very minor issues. The place really is a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. I highly recommend it
Georgia
We had a lovely stay at Saddlers and enjoyed time together as a family. I think on reflection, maybe just a few points that would of allowed us to give more than 4. Yes it sleeps 6 2 people being on the sofabed but this sofa bed is in the living room with no curtains to block the light out or give you any privacy. For me, this place is better suited to 4 people maximum. We felt the place could have been a little cleaner but nothing outrageous. Egsome dishes and utensils were dirty, floor a little muddy. There was also some dog poo on the garden out the front, not ideal when you have children with you but, this is a dog friendly cottage so, we accept it to a degree. Overall, a lovely place, the owner was lovely and we did have a great time. Just those little things which have knocked it down to a 4. The hot tub was lovely & private.
Lovely property, with everything as advertised making for an easy break away with our dog and 5 month old baby. Would highly recommend to anybody and would go again.
Pauline
Such a gorgeous barn in a fab location owners rachael and paul are so lovely Would highly recommend
Nicola
We knew as soon as we saw the property online that it would be a lovely place to stay and we were right. The location was perfect, the property was clean and had everything we needed and the owners were very helpful in providing additional facilities grab rails, shower seat etc. for a guest with mobility issues. Finding such a nice property thats also dog friendly and with a hot tub was a real bonus. The owners went out of their way to replace a kitchen item damaged by previous guests within a couple of hours of mentioning it! and couldnt have been more helpful. We rarely return to the same place as we like seeing new areas but it was so lovely here that we will book again. Would highly recommend to all but especially anyone looking for a dogdisability friendly place.
Lesley
We had an amazing stay at Saddlers. A lovely greeting on arrival and the little bonus of a chilled bottle of fizz and cupcakes was a nice touch. Some lovely dog walks around the area too. The hot tub was all ready and up to temperature when we arrived
Saddlers is a lovely quiet place and gave us a chance to relax and recoup. The most important thing to us, when we stay anywhere, is cleanliness and this place was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, well equipt and perfect if you have a dog as the property is secure. The underfloor heating worked well and the hot tub was fantastic. Our host Rachael was welcoming and you get the feeling no ask would be too big. It has a wetroom, and the the next time we visit we'll take my mother in law as it is also accessibility friendly. We'll be back.
Elizabeth
What a stunning house! The owners had treats for us on arrival and had thought about all the little personal touches to make our stay perfect, the property was 1010 and perfect for out girls weekend away. Just 5 mins away is the best spa we have ever been too. If you are looking for an escape from the world, this is the house for you!
A secluded, peaceful and relaxing holiday was enjoyed by our family due to approachable and helpful hosts, a warm fire, comfortable beds and a great hot tub. Visiting a nearby farm where organic milk shakes, eggs and potatoes could be purchased was also a bonus.
We had a lovely relaxing week away. The wheelchair ramp and wet room made our stay easier. There was enough room to get her wheelchair around. Had everything you needed. The hot tub was nice but it could do with a wind breaker.
Charlotte
Our mini break away at Saddlers provided everything we needed for rest and relaxation. The owners were lovely, helpful and courteous of our needs. My 3 year old daughter's haven't stopped asking about our return to the 'holiday house' since we left.
Sharni
Would like to say a big thank you to Rachael, Paul & Ted for an amazing stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Rachael was very kind to show us around when we first arrived and we were greeted with some lovely cupcakes, Prosecco & a small carton of milk in the fridge to start us off with. We took our Labrador Winston who also enjoyed his stay very much, the area is great for dog walking and we visited some beautiful places during our stay especially in stone where we found some lovely coffee shops. The amenities were great and we really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day! The property was fantastic and had everything we needed, we couldnt of asked for more! Thanks again.
This was a beautiful and tastefully decorated property with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. Spotlessly clean and well maintained and with the added bonus of the hot tub. It was also lovely to watch the cows in the opposite field in the mornings which being townies we dont see much of! Perfectly located for Alton Towers and the potteries and with a safe and enclosed garden for our dogs. Thank you to owners Rachael and Paul for the welcome Prosecco and cakes! Would definitely like to return but preferably without the dogs so that we can do more exploring.
We all loved our stay, including our pet dog. Owner was really friendly and happy for us to move furniture to make a bit more space for 2 wheelchairs. So very wheelchair friendly as advertised. Shower room could do with a grab rail but other than that loved it. Would book again if come back to this area. Thank you!
Loved this place. Really friendly owners, quality accommodation and a really secure garden for the dog which was also an allday sun trap. Looked out over a field with visiting cows. Great pub down the road.
We loved our time at Saddlers. Rachael and Paul are very welcoming and easy to contact if you need help. The accommodation is immaculate and clean, its very modern and contemporary. Beds are very comfortable and ample storage space. The Hot tub is excellent and unlike previous holidays where they say its a hot tub and leave you a inflatable one, this one is amazing. Would highly recommend a visit. Thanks for such a great holiday.
We enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Emilia
The property was to a very high standard It was very clean and the Owners really made it lovely, being very approachable and adding some little extra touches milk, cupcakes, prosecco, etc. Thanks Rachael, Paul and of course, Ted the dog for such a great stay!
Jennie
A lovely property with great hosts.
