A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The cottage was in the perfect location for being away from noise but close enough to a small town for amenities. On the doorstep of some lovely walks and more energetic things to do. Would absolutely come again.

Excellent for location Very lovely good peace and quiet Excellent for amenities
Isabel
We had an enjoyable stay here however there are things to keep in mind to make the most of your visit. Access to the cottage is very restricted, especially in a 4x4. We had to reverse in. The garden is not fully enclosed - disappointing as I was led to believe it was. The kitchen is well equipped but no starter pods or tablets are provided, not eveRead moren a cloth. Several items require maintenance which need to be addressed to make it safer and without any hazards. The gardens are beautiful. Hide
Joan

This was our second time staying at the cottage and we had a lovely week. It's in a beautiful, quiet location and although the weather was cold during our stay, the cottage was very cosy and we all appreciated the hot jacuzzi (although not the cold dash back indoors!) The surrounding area has plenty of walking and good pubs. Something for everyone.
Rodney

Fantastic cottage in quiet location but with easy access to all the attractions in the area. Our dogs loved the large private garden and the hot tub got a lot of use after those long hill walks!
Tracy
What an amazing cottage, with a fantastic setting slap bang in the middle of the countryside, with beautifully kept large gardens and away from main roads. The house itself did not disappoint with its 3 double bedrooms and modern kitchen and bathrooms. Ideally located to lots of days out not more than 15-30 minutes away.
Carol

Kara
We booked The Cottage for my mother in laws birthday, she has always wanted to stay in a picture perfect cottage in the country side and this property ticked every single box. It was clean, comfortable, cosy - especially with the wood burners on! Everything you may need has been thought of. Its in a very quiet location to relax and take in the incr edible views, but with pubs, supermarkets a not too far 15-20 min drive away. It was a wonderful weekend and The Cottage made it perfect.
Helen
Lovely cottage and location. Only downside was that the garden wasnt enclosed despite the description on Holiday Cottages.
Gary
Enjoyed our family time, celebrating younger daughters 30th. Great location with superb views and thoroughly enjoyed hot tub time late afternoon with a couple of great sunsets. What a treat! Beautiful cosy cottage, well equipped, great kitchen, with comfy beds and good showers. Visited Bakewell, Ashford in the Water, Buxton, Monsal Head and enjoyed walks in Longnor, Monsal Trail and two cycled (with dog in tow) along Tissington Trail. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and the cottage.
John
A lovely well appointed cottage in a convenient location for many enjoyable walks. The cottage was warm and comfortable, with a super garden that was safe for our dog. There were some lovely goodies awaiting us in the kitchen and the owners had clearly thought carefully about the needs of their guests, so we would highly recommend!
Graeme
Lovely house in the High Peak. Beautiful views from the garden and hot tub. Really well equipped and cosy with the woodburner in the living room (and dining room although we didn't use this one). Would definitely recommend for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle - lovely walks from the cottage. Sadly the only pub in Longnor is curr ently closed (Nov '22).
Marie
The perfect cosy cottage. Really well equipped. Owner is great at communicating. Hot tub a lovely perk!
Karen
A fabulous cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Very well equipped, clean, with extremely comfortable beds. Plenty of space for your for legged friend to run around in the beautifully kept gardens.
Amy
The cottage is beautiful and in a lovely location. We would certainly stay again. Very much enjoyed using the hot tub too in the peacful garden.
Jacqueline
This is a lovely cottage beautiful location with everything you need, comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend
Allison
We have had a lovely stay. Our 2 year working cocker spaniel loved the cottage and the garden. The owners have done a great job with making the cottage so 'cottage cosy' with some welcome modern features & high end decor - but keeping the real charm of the cottage. Pictures on this site - do not do justice. Stunning views. For us the location lacke d good walks from the door as the foot path signs did not go anywhere! Access to the cottage is a single track with no passing places.
Gillian
Beautiful cottage , perfect location. With lots to see and do . Cottage was clean and cozy . Lovely bathrooms all very clean and modern . We loved it and hope to return .
Melanie
What can I say, we didnt want to leave! The location is what sets this place apart from the rest and the views on the photos dont do it justice. The gardens are beautiful and extremely well kept. The cottage is completely private with a huge front garden where the children played badminton and rode their bikes up and down the drive. The hot tub was something else with breathtaking views. Wonderful appliances, fixtures and fittings inside too. We loved it and hope to return. Thank you
Anne
Lovely secluded cottage. The gardens are extensive and hot tub a luxury. The road down to the cottage is single track with no passing places, we had to reverse back down it a couple of times to let other cars through. Well equipped for self-catering. We had a lovely stay and our grandchildren and German shepherd thoroughly enjoyed the garden. We lo ved the peace and quiet.

Of course you can't mention attractions in Staffordshire without featuring the fabulous Alton Towers theme park.  The rides range from thrilling to quite simply terrifying although there are more gentle family rides for the little ones.  All ages are catered for here.  Some of the most famoue rides include Th13teen, Air, The Blade and Nemesis.  There is also a waterpark on site for some splashtastic fun. Look out for seasonal events taking place throughout the year such as Wonderful Winter, Pirate Weekend and The Ultimate Fireworks Event.  Check out their website for the latest admission costs and save money by booking your tickets online.

This is a top class theme park with plenty to do for the whole family.  From thrilling rides to more gentle activities for the little ones this place is ideal.  The best thing is that 50% of their attractions are under cover so the British weather needn't spoil the fun.
Heights of Abraham - DE4 3PT
about 15 Miles
This unique attraction combines an array of activities.  If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about.  Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system.  You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views.  You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.
Gulliver's Kingdome - WA5 9YZ

The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre.  The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild.  Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.  Visit their website to see the picture gallery and to find out how to help if this is something which interests you.  There are also regular fundraising events such as the Sponsered Leg Wax.
Crazy Crocodiles Indoor Play & Party Centre - LL30 1DR

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire.  With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children.  The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families.  Look out for offers on their website such as a free hot drink on select days.
