We had a lovely stay at the Amber Rooms. The location is fantastic with great amenities both within the cottage and within walking distance of the property. If we are in the area again we will be staying here.

Excellent and very clean cottage. Only things I would change as has been mentioned by others is the lounge furniture and the dining table furniture are really not comfortable especially if it is a group of 4. A change would make it an excellent stay with its wonderful coordinated feel re artwork and furnishings!

The cottage was very stylish and spacious, particularly the kitchen, although was a little surprised that there was no dishwasher. The king bed was very comfortable and the addition of the hot tub in master room was fabulous, although felt more detailed instructions on how to use it would have been useful. Although we didn't use the second bedroom, it looked lovely and nice that it had it's own ensuite shower room and toilet. Nice setting and good that there was onsite parking. Stanhope is a nice place to visit and we hope to return again one day. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

The property was spotless and beautifully furnished with everything needed for a perfect, luxury week away. The welcome gift was a lovely touch. My daughter commented that she felt like a princess living in the castle! The spa bath was amazing! The area was great for relaxing and going for walks with our dog. There was also lots of places to explore within a short drive. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Amber Rooms.

The most beautiful and romantic stay for Valentines Day! The cottage was amazing and was beautifully decorated for me and my partner to celebrate! We had the most wonderful time and made some special memories! Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone and we will definitely be back! Scott is an absolute diamond too! Theres nothing he wont do to help or assist you and ensure youre happy and have everything you need! We had a few issues but these were dealt with right away and didnt affect our stay! A fantastically equipped apartment providing a ideal base for exploring the area both on foot & by car. Would highly recommend staying in Amber Rooms & any of the other rooms in Stanhope Castle if they are of the same standard.

In the living room needs a lamp and the settee looks so nice its not very comfortable. The bedroom with the double bed in needs a fan .
