Peacocks Rest Reviews

Lovely property, really good location for york, stayed here for a week just after getting married, only downfall is hottub is time consuming and took me a couple of days to get it warm enough to enjoy, other than that a brilliant place to stay.
Michael
Peacocks rest is a modern property that is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed for a weeks stay. The beds were very comfortable with quality bedding. Fantastic stay.
Pieter
The only recommendation I would make is to use a What3Words reference to find the property whilst we didn't really struggle we find it makes finding anywhere much easier as the accuracy is much more refined than a postcode.
Gwendoline
Lovely clean and comfortable, hot tub was a bonus, we all enjoyed our time ... Lovely clean and comfortable, hot tub was a bonus, we all enjoyed our time together and on suits in each room, slippers and gowns and a lovely Complimentary basket
Lovely place to stay. We were made very welcome

Visited early December Xmas tree & fairy lights greeted us on arrival. We had a wonderful stay, great welcome hamper, very peaceful & a good location for travelling around. Property was in good condition, well equipped & extremely comfortable beds & pillows. We knew the hot tub was wood fired as the property description clearly stated this but there were a few comments in the visitor book about it. Id definitely recommend & we would book again.
Debbie
Great weekend stay. Property is definitely worth a visit. Ideally located for a walk into Pocklington or a visit to York. 3 great sized bedrooms , modern shower rooms and a living space big enough for 6 people to chill. Has all the cooking facilities you need and a dishwasher so no time wasted on chores! The welcome hamper was fabulous and a great surprise. Wood based hot tub took time to master and heat up so a small niggle and we'd know next time. We will be back x

Absolutely amazing ! 6 of us have just returned after celebrating my 50th birthday at this property. Everything was amazing, from the Hot tub, a superb welcome hamper, comfy beds and plenty of space for relaxing. Would definitely return.
Superb, excellent stay at Peacocks Rest. A well appointed property with the owners leaving a superb welcome pack. Can highly recommend.
The place was perfect, but if some flowers or plants, be them real or artificial, would have been down the side or even near the hot tub, that would have given some colour when sat out. Other than that no problems and would go again.

This property is lovely! It is set in a rural location and the quality of the fittings and furnishings is first class. It's warm and comfortable and the hot tub is a bonus. There's lots to do in the area. I am happy to recommend this property.
Absolutely delighted with our stay in Peacocks Rest. The best cottage weve ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated with so many thoughtful touches. The lovely hamper for us and our dog was a lovely surprise and very welcome. We really enjoyed the hot tub! Situated in a quiet rural lane meant good dog walks. We really liked nearby Pocklington which had all the facilities youd need. It was also a good base from which to explore further afield York, Harrogate, Scarborough as well as beautiful wood and river walks. Thank you for our lovely stay.
Louise
The owners of this beautiful property had thought of everything and the welcome hamper plus other treats that they'd left for us were very much appreciated. We had a really comfortable stay in an excellently maintained property. We were a group consisting of three generations and it was suitable for all of us. The location was ideal for exploring the area. We hope to come and stay again sometime.
Stephanie

Rachael

Sharon
Amazing stay in Peacock's Rest. Welcome pack was great, including a cake which was such a nice touch. Very spacious. Very clean. Extremely comfortable beds. Everything we needed was in the cottage. Would highly recommend.
This cottage is absolutely beautiful and the owners are incredibly helpful. The design of the cottage is very well thought out with the kitchendiningliving area set up for real comfort for 6 adults and the bedrooms being separated from that space and all having ensuites means 3 couples can enjoy time together and still have their own separate comforts. Everything has been meticulously thought through from the really well kitted out kitchen and the layout to the beautiful decor. The garden is great completely sealed so the dog is safe from escape! and the hot tub is really lovely. Nice quiet setting and a short drive to Pocklington. Couldnt recommend this higher for friends or family wanting a break. Thank you Joanne and Steve
Absolutely lovely cottage. Facilities top drawer and superb array of little gifts left for our arrival. Lovely quiet, rural location and beautifully maintained. Strongly recommended.
