Willow Cottage Reviews

Michael James
Mr Hoggard was an exceptional host and very attentive. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed, especially the hot tub, a well needed break for both of us, We would recommend a visit to Willow cottage, we will be back!
Loraine
A lovely cottage, spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Almost evrything you need for your break included fluffy towels, wash up liquid, dish washer tabs, tea bags, coffee & sugar, a pint of milk in fridge & chunky Fox's biscuits
Jonathan
Lovely beautiful cozy cottage! Friendly and welcoming owners , loved our stay and will defiantly return
What a lovely little cottage and a great couple who couldn't do enough to help. The hot tub was fantastic and cleaned every morning. The cottage it self was in a lovely quiet court yard with under cover parking. Around 10 minutes drive to Bridlington will definitely be returning
Amazing holiday. Hot tub and log fire definatly huge plus points. Owners are fantastic. Beautiful grounds including large pond and chickens. Very relaxing which we was looking for
We couldnt have been happier with this find of such a beautiful holiday cottage. Clean, quaint and very homely. The facilities are brilliant throughout. The owners are fantastic, very accommodating and polite. The hot tub was the reason we booked the cottage and its perfect, you can tell the owners take pride in keeping it clean as well as the cleanliness of the property. We were and still are so impressed with the cottage. Impressed that much that we have already booked again for next year, straight after our wedding as a pre honeymoon getaway. I seriously couldnt recommend this more to anyone!
We have stayed here twice now and we will be back again next year.
Had a great stay at this lovely well appointed cottage, Karen and Sean made us feel at home with a warm welcome and a big thank you for the complimentary items, the cottage is set in lovely surroundings which Karen and Sean told us to use as we wish, the cottage as everything and more you can wish for for a lovely stay wether it be a few days or weeks, we would highly recommend this to family and friends and will definitely return again.
Cheryl
Lovely little cottage, so peaceful and quiet. Had everything you could need. The hottub was perfect to relax, listening to the birds in such peaceful settings. The owners were very helpful if needed. Coastal settings 10 mins away in both directions.
Willow Cottage is just perfect fully equipped with all you could need as well as the wonderful hot tub. The hosts are the nicest couple, always helpful but giving you privacy. This is the second year in a row that we have been to the cottage, and we have already booked again for next year.
Lovely cottage, well stocked and equipped. Our first trip to the area and it wont be our last visit there is so much to see and visit. the owners are on site and are very friendly and helpful. overall one of the best holidays we have experienced,
The only minor issue we encountered was the water pressure in the kitchen was ... The only minor issue we encountered was the water pressure in the kitchen was poor and water didn't get hot so had to boil the kettle
Stephen
A lovely property and a very warm welcome from the hosts. Really enjoyed the hot tub!
Had really good time here, the hosts were very friendly and forthcoming. We were given a very informative tour of the cottage and facilities and were given a complimentary half dozen eggs, biscuits and milk which came in handy. The hot tub was brilliant and the cottage, you couldn't want for anything there was a dishwasher, washing machine and the kitchen as a whole was very well equipped. You have a covered parking space and also key safe near the door. I believe this is essential as I just don't like the idea of taking it with us when out. You are in a gated enclosed area which adds extra security. The one thing that was against us was the weather rain and high winds but we felt very safe and cosy and quite enjoyed being able to look out at the bad weather. All in all we had a great few days here as a base for exploring the surrounding area. Many thanks.
Deborah
Absolutely loved our Easter Break.
This property was excellent also our hosts were very down to earth and very very friendly
An amazing little cottage that has everything you could possibly need. Set in a quiet area to enjoy relaxing evenings in the hot tub. The hosts were just next door if you needed anything. They made us feel very welcome from the get go. We will definitely go back and would recommend this little place to anyone.
Perfect cottage with excellent facillities, great location. Very easy parking. Hosts were most welcoming and helpful. We couldn't have wished for more.
William
Property Excellent
Fantastic property. Very well equipped and sparkling clean. In a good quiet area, but only a short distance to seaside towns. Hot tub a bonus that was very large considering that the cottage was only two persons. Excellent hosts, who were very friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit.
The property was wonderful, the owners so helpful, the hot tub was amazing!
Rachael
We had a lovely stay thank you.
Leanne
Lovely stay. Just what we needed.
Beautiful cottage, everything you could need. Hosts were lovely. Want to keep it a secret but it's too nice not to share. We will be back
What a hidden gem! We were staying as our minimoon and throughly enjoyed our break. The hot tub was a real treat for us and the property was well equipped with all the modern features to make a stay worth while. The inclusion of some complimentary bits was a nice touch, and the owners were available for help but not overbearing at all. We have already recommended the property to others and would happily return ourselves.
By far the best relaxing and beautiful break we've had in years! Sean and Karen are lovely and so helpful. The cottage was quaint and exactly as described, the private hot tub was a dream and the seated area is amazing for the morning coffee. Thank you!
Lovely cottage everything you need. SHAUN and KAREN exellent hosts
Philip
Very welcoming couple The cottage is spotless The hot tub was amazing
Darren
Karen and Shaun were the perfect hosts. Everything you need is provided, wood for the burner, plastic wine glasses and dressing gowns for the very relaxing hot tob. Milk, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits, even 6 eggs from their own hens. The cottage is very comfortable and cosy with everything working as it should. Location is perfect, in a small village but central to many places to visit. We had a stroll to the local pub but I wouldn't recommend doing it in the dark as there are long sections of the country lane without a footpath you maybe ok with a good torch. Easy option is a taxi. We would highly recommend this to family, friends or anybody wanting a relaxing break. Karen, Shaun We had the perfect 4 night break. Thank you for your hospitality you have everything spot on. Darren & Wendy

Amazing weekend spent at Willow Cottage. Host there to greet us on arrival and gave us a little tour . Despite being adjoined to owners property you never felt intruded upon, they are lovely people and have done an amazing job with this place. Hot tub was amazing and many hours were spent in there! Log burner was also great and would be perfect for colder nights. Bed is big and comfy. If youre looking for somewhere to just relax and not go out much this is perfect. It is close to a nice beachy walk but be prepared to drive a bit if you can coax yourself out of the hot tub for long enough as theres little in walking distance. All in all a great weekend in a lovely cottage which had excellent facilities!
Superb cottage and hoasts
Angela
Beautiful cottage set in the owners ground with one acre of land to wander ... Beautiful cottage set in the owners ground with one acre of land to wander around Karen & Shaun were great hosts and we were greeted with fresh eggs, milk, cookies, tea and coffee on arrival Great hot tub in private patio area Would highly recommend this cottage to any couples
Richard
Lovely hosts cottage just right quiet location
Deborah
Fabulous way to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary in the comfort of Willow Cottage, a real home from home experience, with the added bonus of the Hot Tub. All made so memorable by the wonderful hosts Karen and Shaun, who went above and beyond.
We had a peaceful and relaxing holiday in a lovely cottage in this very nice part of Yorkshire. The cottage had everything that we needed and we received a warm welcome from the owners Karen and Sean.
Melanie
Karen & Shaun were fab, loved our little chats and the fresh eggs! The cottage was great, comfy, clean and everything you needed in there. The hot tub was amazing. We will definitely be recommending it to everyone.
Second time at Willow Cottage. Lovely, tranquil surroundings. After a very stressful year is was exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries. Well done to Karen and Shaun. Would highly recommend this cottage.
We had a lovely stay here. The peace and tranquillity was just what we needed. Very well equipped cottage had everything you could want. Lovely friendly hosts too.
Andrew
Absolute fantastic location, with amazing facilities. The hot tub was cleaned every morning before we woke up and came with full instructions. The log burner was prepared and ready to go. Karen & Shaun were fantastic hosts and gave us a very warm welcome.. I couldn't imagine a better place to stay on the East Ridings of Yorkshire.
Wow what a gem of a cottage in such a tranquil setting too just oozing wildlife. The hosts Karen & Shaun couldnt have been more hospitable or friendly nothing was too much trouble for them. We didnt want to leave at the end of the week. This cottage has absolutely everything you could want & more for a self catering holiday. Upon arrival there was a lovely welcome pack consisting of fresh eggs from their own hens milk, tea, coffee, sugar & lovely biscuits. There is a beautiful log burner which we took advantage of most nights as we didnt fare well with the weather. The poor weather didnt spoil our holiday though we went somewhere everyday then came back to the cosy logburner. This cottage is perfectly situated for Hornsea, Bridlington, Scarborough, Bempton, Filey & Flamborough. There are pubs about a mile away in Skipsea & Barmston & its on a bus route too. All info is in a book in the cottage. We had the best nights sleep ever here in the kingsize comfy bed & a huge shower cubicle in the bathroom. I would add that the wifi signal is perfect in the bedroom but weaker in the lounge but was told Shaun is organising a booster for this. It was never a problem anyway as we just made sure we connected in the bedroom when we needed to. An added bonus to this cottage is the fabulous hot tub which we took advantage of & a lovely garden to sit in on sunnier days. Please do book this cottage you will not be disappointed it really does have everything. We will def be back!
