Sunset Gem Reviews

Amazing! The property is exactly as described. It is a pod and so it does have a small kitchen area but what more can you ask with a hob, oven and microwave. There are plenty of utensils, pans and oven trays. There is space in drawers and the pan cupboard to store food if required and a full size fridge and freezer. The main thing for us is cleanliness and everywhere was immaculate. The beds were comfortable, I slept really well. Each of the bedrooms have a TV and a hanging rail with coat hangers. The view was beautiful, across fields and it was lovely to watch the sun set and the sky turn golden. We can see how the property got its name! The grounds are fully enclosed, plenty of parking. The hot tub was perfect. We booked some time ago but then to see some of the reviews I did wonder what to expect. All I can say is our experience was brilliant. Yes, it is a small, compact pod but you can clearly see from the photographs what it is. The living area was actually bigger than I expected. We would highly recommend and we will be returning.

It helped that we had great weather for our long weekend away but the pod was comfy, clean and secure for our pooch. Hot tub was a bonus!
Overall the lodge was lovely and in a great location for exploring Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. The lodge comes fully equipped with everything you would need kitchen, fridge oven etc Flies did seem to be an issue but nevertheless the lodge was everything as described

What a lovely, peaceful, little pod! Its very modern, up to date, comfortable and cosy. I was fortunate to have the whole place to myself, as the other pod was empty. It had everything I needed apart from a mirror, positioned somewhere for my hairdryer to reach, to dry my hair. The only issue I had was with the flies. I couldnt have any of the windows or the door open, which detracted from the whole experience. I appreciate its not the owners fault, and I wouldnt know what to suggest to be honest. Maybe an electric fly killerzapper? The only other thing Id suggest is getting a small, cordless vacuum. I was only there for 3 nts but felt the need to want to vacuum round in the living area especially with all the dead flies! There was a dust pan & brush, but I struggle to bend down. Brilliantly situated for the coast and beaches, with the bonus of being able to retreat from the busy areas to peace and tranquility. The weather wasnt great so I didnt use the hot tub unfortunately! As much as it was lovely to have the sun streaming in through the windows, whilst setting, I wanted blindscurtains. I wouldnt have liked to have experienced that on a really hot day.

A lovely relaxing location, could do with. rail to help get in and out of the hot tub but other than that a very spacious and comfortable pod. Way bigger that a normal pod, could easily sleep 4.

Lovely pod, had a great stay. Great size, bonus was 2 bathrooms. Could have benefitted from a gated grasseddecked area for our 2 pups so they didn't disturb our next door neighbouring pod. Beds weren't that comfy and could've done with a few more pillows and larger bath towels but on the whole a beautiful pod.

Great place, really enjoyed our stay! Lovely location with amazing views, would definitely recommend!
We had a lovely relaxing comfortable stay. Hot tub was such a plus and was filled and cleaned daily. Dog had a lovely safe place to have a run around. Only A short drive to local beaches Would highly recommend
The property listing was accurate. The information updates were clear along with the entry information. The pod was well positioned to grab that Gem Sunset across open fields. It was clean and well prepared for our arrival. The pods were enclosed within there own fenced off area with lots of room for our new puppy to run around free and the grass area well maintained. The locals have a regular walk around the open fields which tales about an hour again ideal and perhaps could be highlighted for people. We visited Filey where we had coffee and cake at the Egg and Spoon which l recommend and Scarbrough as well as the the Piebald pub where the food was amazing and even had a pie for the dog! Two minor points? The bathroom off the main bedroom the light goes off rather quickly and the heating kept saying the date was incorrect and wouldn't allow us to adjust the temperature on occasions. It was a great break

What a lovely place! We booked here as we were doing a skydive over the weekend and this place was 8 mins away from the parachute placeso we got to relax and chill before and after our skydive. The lodge inside is beautiful, clean, comfy, all you need in the kitchen, comfy bedrooms and having 2 bathrooms is just brilliant. The outside is fully fenced and gated so is safe and very spacious, our 6 year old loved playing and riding his bike in the large garden area, theres also a little park right next door. The hottub was an added bonusWe were in it a lot!! Weve just had an amazing, relaxing weekend here. We will definitely be booking again. Thankyou.
Excellent property and locationespecially the wonderful view across open fieldsvery relaxing. I hope the hedge remains low to allow the wonderful view to continue. This is an amazing property which has been set up to provide a very relaxing holiday. The facilities were excellentespecially the hottub which was checked every daythank you.
Alexandra
Beautiful property, absolutely loved our stay and enjoyed the hot tub. Great information provided and everything you need for a little getaway. The only thing I would suggest is a blind for the small kitchen window to increase privacy for both pods. But will definitely return
Was perfect for a relaxing week away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you.
