Balblair Lodge Reviews

Gareth
Nice compact and cosy cottage, with a homely feel and well equipped. Good base to visit surrounding sites, beaches etc.
Jeanette
Nice cottage , small kitchen but laid out really well and had everything you would need. Might be a bit tight in living room for four adults we moved a small sofa from the bedroom to make it more comfortable. In a great location to visit various places
Kenny
We loved staying at Balblair, it was the perfect place to base ourselves for exploring the NC500. The cottage had everything we need.
Ruth
Loved our time here! Location was really nice, a lovely corner of Scotland. Cottage was well stocked and we genuinely couldnt find anything that it was missing. Great place to spend a holiday to just completely relax!
Christine
Cottage was cosy and nice and warm, beds were comfortable. Kitchen very small ,well kitted out, not much work space and high cupboards, you need to be at least 6 feet tall to have any chance of reaching anything. Nice to see the highland cattle and feed them apples.
Daniel
Our stay was excellent. We had everything we needed to feel at home. The location was perfect for getting out and exploring the Highlands. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. Would definitely like to visit and stay here again in the future.
Diane
This is a beautiful cottage, small but perfectly formed! The setting is wonderful with lovely grounds to walk in. Endless supplies of logs mean a roaring fire and a bubbling hot tub cheer up even the dullest days. Owner on hand for helpful advice. Our dogs loved it too especially walking around the grounds Beware the garden if you have escapee dogs as there is a low wall. Our only downside was no walkable pub or cafe nearby. But it was bliss!
Mandy
This was such an amazing place to stay. Beautiful cottage and surroundings. Matthew was there to welcome us and explain the heating etc and answer any questions. The family welcomed us to walk around the grounds with our dogs. We had everything we needed in the house and garden. There were a lot of special touches even bowls for the dogs. The Hot t ub was amazing
Marilu
We loved our stay at the Balblair gate lodge. The cottage is even lovelier than the photos, and is really nicely decorated. The owners left us plenty of provisions and a lovely welcome basket as well. Tons of toys and books for the kids. We were a bit worried about the road being so close, but once inside it didn't bother us at all. There is gate o n the drive and a gate in the back garden, so we didn't worry about our dog or toddler wandering out on the road. Thank you we will be back!
