About Beach View

This contemporary property sits in an elevated position along a steep and narrow road with sea views in the delightful village of Combe. Presented to an excellent standard over two floors, Beach View provides a sumptuous escape for a family of eight seeking a coastal escape to Devon.

The open-plan living space is bright and airy, courtesy of the floor to ceiling windows that provide an outlook to the beach and sea. Take a seat on the L-shaped sofa and flick on the TV for entertainment, whilst the chef of the group takes over the kitchen and prepares a hearty dish, finished with sleek units and integrated appliances.

Take a bottle from the wine chiller and pour yourself a drink to take out to the decked area, whilst there is also a lower patio adjacent to the parking area, and a hot tub that offers an idyllic spot to unwind in the evenings. The first bedroom lies on the ground-floor and offers a twin, whilst there is also a king-size with en-suite shower off the living area, whilst upstairs plays host to two king-sized bedrooms, both with velux windows providing excellent views and convenient en-suite shower rooms.

From the door, take a short walk down to the award-winning Combe Martin Beach, providing excellent swimming conditions due to its sheltered position, plus there’s lots of rock pools for the little ones to explore. When you don’t fancy cooking, there’s a host of welcoming eateries to choose from, including The Castle Inn, The Pack O’Cards, and The Bakers Bistro to name a few, whilst there is also a Co-Op supermarket where you can pick up any essentials.

Join the South West Coast Path and scale along the craggy coastline, see the animals at the Combe Martin Wildlife Park or join the historic Earl of Rone festival held each May. Escape further afield and discover Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, bustling seaside resorts with their own character, charm and beaches.

Beach View Reviews

Beautifully kept and maintained property. The owner has made every effort to ensure guests have everything they are likely to need for a comfortable stay. Must also mention the communication from the Housekeeper informing us that the house would be ready early if we wanted to get there sooner and advised about the town firework display in case we wanted to take precautions if we had a nervous dog.
Fantastic property completed to a very high standard. it was clean, warm, airy and had all the desired modcons. We felt very at home. The view across the Cove was amazing ... highly recommended
Great place to stay with amazing view. Fixtures and fittings excellent would thoroughly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Beach View. The house was equipped with everything we could have needed and then some, perfectly clean and the views over the bay are unmatched. Will definitely be returning!
This was a fabulous house with everything you could need. The views were stunning. The road leading to it and the parking was a bit tricky but all in all a beautiful place to stay.
We had a wonderful time at Beach View, everything you could possibly wish for was there including treats for the dogs and a lovely welcome pack of scones, clotted cream and jam. The views were breathtaking and my husband made full use of the hot tub despite saying before we went he didn't like them. The beds were lovely and comfy and you didn't want to get out in a morning. I'd definitely recommend Beach View to anyone wanting a five star holiday.
Modern home set in a beautiful location. The views are stunning and do not disappoint. The house itself is equipped with everything you could want, very much a home away from home. Our only grumble was the lack of shade on the outside terrace. We were afforded wonderful weather during our stay but no umbrella or other shade was provided which meant the seating area outside was blasted with sun all day. Considering one of our party was recently diagnosed with skin cancer this made the balcony area unusable for the majority of the day.
Beautiful house in a most beautiful location. One problem was sorted quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely stay we will dedinately coming back. Claire went over and above for us great place to stay.

We had a lovely week in Beach View. The house was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great location to explore North Devon.
Excellent property, great views. The only negative is the small track up to the house, but still would definitely recommend.
Amanda
We would like to thank the owners very much for a hugely enjoyable stay. The House was very comfortable and everything had been thought of to make it a very relaxing time. Thank you for the welcome card and delicious cakes! Clair was most helpful and communicated very efficiently with us, even putting the lights on when we arrived later than expected which was welcoming thank you from us all.
Debbie
Fantastic house. ..very comfortable. Excellent beds and bedding. Lovely and warm. Outstanding views. Kitchen had everything you could wish for.Clair the housekeeper super helpful. Loved our Christmas here and the house was tastefully decorated for the festivities. Would highly recommend.
We had an amazing holiday even though the weather was against us. Awesome cottage with beautiful views. New, clean and welcoming. Well stocked with everything you will need to enjoy your stay. Highly recommended
Perfect seaside location, stunning property! Loved everything about it, we will be back!
Caroline
Fantastic place to stay in, clean and tidy with the most amazing views. Drive up to the house is not the best experience, very tight angles and steep climb. This was explained in the booking though and unfortunately I did incur a puncture as I tried to negotiate the hill climb in the dark, but tyre fixed and that didn't spoil a great holiday.
Andrew
Lovely house with stunning views and every amenity you could possibly wish for. I do however feel that I have to mark it down just a bit because of the access to the house. We have a relatively large SUV and it was quite challenging getting through the bends and up the very sharp incline. Also our grand children's pushchair was a workout as well.
Magic place, had two 1 yr olds in the party and everything suited everyone. Very clean, bit tough on the legs though!!!!
Debbie
We had a truly wonderful stay at Beach View! The house was beautifully presented, so spacious, spotlessly clean and really well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. A little note and treats welcomed us which was very thoughtful and a lovely touch. The views from the balcony are just stunning and we loved sitting out there on the lovely furniture watching the sunset. The hot tub was a big hit too ! Combe Martin itself is a lovely village with lots to do, we had a fantastic time paddle boarding and kayaking. Also great places to eat and drink and take in the beautiful views. Would highly recommend a stay at Beach View !
The property was fresh and clean and seemed quite new. Designed to make the most of the spectacular views with large windows and beautiful terrace. The kitchen was well equiped and all details had been catered for. Our granddog came too and he too felt most welcome. The children and grandchildren loved the hot tub and the walk up and down to the beach kept us all excercised we had torrential rain on several occasions beautiful to watch over the sea but this resulted in poor water quality a Nationwide problem. The local traders were delightful and we enjoyed paddle boarding and a great kayak tour. All in all a brilliant holiday and thise views will stay with us for a long time.
Beautiful house, the view was amazing! , Lovely furnishings, very comfortable and finished to a high standard. You really dont need to take anything as its well equipped. The only thing I would say, it states the access is a bit tight but I think it should come with a caution to certain vehicles. We have a Ford Ranger and that was very tricky to get get in and out of the lane as its extremely tight. Would definitely stay again
We were very happy with our stay at Beach View. The property was beautifully appointed, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. It was also very well equipped for self catering. The house is located high above the beach at Combe Martin with a very good outside area with fantastic views, stylish & comfortable seating area and, on a lower level, a hot tub. Combe Martin itself was nice, with a beach and coastline that was good for swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking. A smaller, attached beach was dog friendly, as were a decent pub and cafe. The house was also well located for getting into Ilfracombe and to great beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde & Saunton. I would highly recommend this lovely property. Thank you.
