We had such a fabulous time at the Spicery Barn Loft. Communication from Sarah and Robert was amazing, we were left to our own devices, but knew they were on hand should we need them. Loved waking up to the horses every morning and watching the gorgeous night sky from the hot tub. Even our dog was thought of at the property with a dog box of treats and essentials. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful property. Would highly recommend and return in the future.

This property is beautiful. Very well maintained clean and cozy. If your looking for break to chill in the country side with a hot tub. This is perfect. It's the small things that I loved. It was our Mini honeymoon and they brought us a card, flowers and prosecco. Also there was homemade scones with jam in a little glass jar and cream. We also had tea, Coffee, sugar and milk ready for us. There was black bags, dish soap and hand soap. Everything that you need is there. The best stay we've ever had and we will be returning. Thankyou Sarah and Rob for being the best hosts it means so much.

We had a lovely break, everything was lovely, hot tub was added bonus, found it easy to find with good instructions, the weather was pretty bad on some days but we coped, bed comfy, be nice to have a tv in bedroom, not use to sharing the tv with other half. honestly 1st class

Blown away is probably an understatement, 1010 isn't good enough to show how happy we were for our week in Devon ! The Loft was such a lovely place to spend our time in, the facilities were all spot on and nothing was out of place. Robert and Sarah made us feel right at home and were both so so friendly ! The scones, jam and cream on arrival was the perfect start to our stay too ! We already decided on day 1 that wed have to come back again

Beautiful fresh surroundings, wake up in the morning look out of the windows and take a look at nature, peaceful green fields ,Horses, Pheasants, Deer's, Rabbits not forgetting the Owl at night. A well planned out accommodation easy on the eyes dcor , perfect to chill out and relax with a welcome pack from the owners, dedicated parking space . We made friends with the two dogs who liked the attention and play. A great place and happy to recommend !

Amazing stay here for the week. The barn is lovely and everything you could want for a relaxing week. Comfy bed, hot shower, private garden and even a welcome box for the dog!! Hosts are great and leave you to enjoy your holiday, but always felt like they were on hand if needed.

We received a warm welcome from Sarah and Rob and really loved the cream tea delicious! We found Spicery Barn Loft a very clean, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. We just wished the weather had been kinder to us!!

It has to be said that this holiday in the loft was one of the most comfortable we have ever had. Sarah and Rob couldn't do enough for us from the minute we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, especially the cream tea. The hot tub was great we couldn't fault anything. It's a shame we can't give 6 stars as it was the nice. We would highly recommend as we went with our dog and there was even a basket for him with treats etc very thoughtful.

Sarah and Rob were extremely welcoming on our arrival to their outstanding holiday home. Spicery Barn is an absolute gem which we were lucky enough to discover. There was everything we could possibly need and nothing was too much trouble. The property was absolutely immaculate on arrival. It was also very easy to keep clean during our stay. We enjoyed the sunset in the hot tub accompanied by the horses in the next field. If you are looking for rest and relaxation this property will tick all of your boxes. There is plenty to do nearby or simply enjoy the property and its beautiful surroundings. We would highly recommend and would very much return again should we be heading that way again. Perfect accommodation for two, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Very friendly owners who were on hand if needed. The dog loved the woodland on the doorstep. We would definitely recommend and likely return in the future.

We had a lovely stay at the Spicery Barn Loft, the location was perfect, the views were amazing. Lakes close by, goats and horses surrounding the property really added a special touch to it. The owners were so kind and helpful always there to answer any questions, left scones for us on arrival!. The property was cosy and clean with everything you need. Hot tub was lovely to relax in after a long day exploring Devon! Would 100 recommend so happy with our stay and hope to visit again!

Arrived to a lovely cozy spot, with freshly baked scones with jam and cream in arrival . The surroundings were beautiful. Surrounded by goats and horses as well as lovely lakes . In the middle of nowhere but not to far if you needed anything. And the garden was fully secured to let the dog run about . We had an amazing time and would love to return in the future .

We had a lovely time at Spicery barn loft. We were greeted by the owners. The Loft was very clean & equipped with all the necessary items, a real home away from home. The scones, jam & cream were a lovely welcoming treat. The hot tub was great to relax in after being out all day sight seeing around Devon.

Lovely cottage set in fabulous surroundings everything you needed was available in the cottage. The only downside was the road you had to drive down to gain access to the cottage. The road was full of potholes and ruts and loose gravel which meant a low speed was neccessary to avoid any damage to your car anybody with a sports car or load riding car beware it is not suitable the driveway road to the cottage was fine once you got of the country track. Very enjoyable short break.

We had the best stay here last weekend! The loft is absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed! The views from the hot tub are great and our little pooch loved watching the goats next door. The little touches of the homemade scones and dog treats were a real hit!

Had a lovely weekend away at Sarah and Robs holiday accommodation The Loft. Accommodation was well furnished and comfortable for a relaxing getaway. Hot tub in a prime spot for views across the back. Tried our hand at fishing on the lakes even caught a couple. Friendly goats to greet you in the morning. Perfect location for visiting Dartmoor or S shopping in Exeter. For those wanting to travel further to the coast can visit Exmouth and Sidmouth. Owners very communicative and friendly in personvia the Sykes Cottages app. Would highly recommend. Look forward to returning.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! It was beautiful & the settings so peaceful! We didnt want to leave! Only thing I could suggest would be coverage over the hottub for the winter months but this did not affect our usage!

Beautiful location. Acres of green fields to relax the eyes and a couple of goats to keep the dog busy. Seriously, if you're looking for a peaceful getaway with all the amenities you could ask for, near both beaches and countryside walks then you should definitely book this place. Weve Just returned from a wonderful weeks holiday at The Loft. Accommodation was immaculate and beautifully presented throughout even down to the free gifts on arrival. I cant stress enough how great everything was. Also the most friendliest goats onsite made the stay even better. Thank you. Will definitely be booking again for next year.

We had an amazing stay, including our fur baby! He especially liked staring at our neighbouring goats every day. Facilities were outstanding and the owners greeted us soon after we arrived. Even though we were remote we were within 3040mins away from the beach or dog friendly walks. Would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for a fun family day out with a difference then a visit to the Hedgehog Hospital is a great choice. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.

River Dart Country Park - TQ13 7NP

River Dart Country Park has over 90 acres of woods offering stunning scenic walks, beautiful lakes and open parkland. The park also has a good range of facilities for children including Jungle Ropes, Climbing Frames, Cargo Nets and a wooden Pirate Ship.
