Demelza Cottage Reviews

Andy And Sue
Very quiet location. Loved the hot tub sadly the weather meant we couldnt sit out much. The property was very clean and cosy and the hosts were very helpful if we needed anything. Bedding was lovely and cosy and I would definitely book here again.
Fantastic cottage so many little touches that made it special. Nothing was to much trouble friendly and inviting. The dog was so welcomed with goodies and his own blankets and towels. Lovely hot tub that was used every day. Will definitely return. It was PERFECT
Joanne
The cottage is beautiful and in a lovely, quiet, peaceful location thats pretty central for travelling around Cornwall. Its of a very high standard and 5 star for cleanliness. Maureen provides everything that you could possibly need, she also left a lovely toy for our granddaughter to use and then take home too. There are even treats and toys for your dog if they are joining you. There is plenty of room and the large garden is a brilliant bonus. The hot tub was a welcome addition to relax in after a busy day of sightseeing and running round with our toddler grandchild. This is the second year that weve stayed at Demelza and weve already booked again for next year too. Were looking forward to our next stay.
Demelza Cottage is a beautifully appointed holiday cottage which caters perfectly for families wanting to enjoy all that Cornwall offers. Maureen and John are wonderful hosts. We came as a family of four with two daughters together with 2 dogs last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and this year was even better. Well be back next year. A super holiday cottage and highly recommended.
We had a fantastic weeks holiday at Demelza Cottage, very spacious and beautiful home in a quiet location. Hot tub was amazing and the space for our boys to play was outstanding, as well as having an entertaining space to sit outside and eat alfresco. Maureen and John were wonderful hosts and lovely people. Cream teas and little gifts for the boys were a wonderful touch and unique, never had that anywhere before. We were a close enough drive to various beaches but it was lovely to go back to the cottage to relax in tranquility. We cannot wait to return for our next visit.
We had a lovely stay at the Demelza cottage. It's perfectly located to visit other parts of Cornwall and when you don't want to go out, you can enjoy the quiet outdoors and nature surrounding the cottage. On our 1st morning we were greeted by the wildlife in the field and loved it. When it's time to relax, the hottub is ready for you. We had excellent weather and were able to make great use of the hottub. Maureen is a great host and the welcome was very warm, the pasties absolutely lovely. We would have preferred a little less of the scented air fresheners but that is obviously very personal. We were travelling with an EV car so the ability to charge on the property was perfect and worked like a charm with the info provided.

As ever, a wonderful break in delightful surroundings. You feel so welcome it has become a home from home. A lot of thought had gone into making it somewhere to relax, wellequipped, with lovely touches. The dogs love the fields and garden and we love the peace and calm with entertaining wildlife which can be watched from the hot tub pure luxury!

Just returned from staying at the beautiful Demelza cottage. My husband and I decided to escape the stresses of Christmas and head down to Cornwall for the festive period. It was the best holiday weve ever had! The cottage was clean, warm and cosy and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Maureen was a lovely host and left toys and treats for our two dogs on arrival, which was a lovely touch. The cottage was very central to Truro, Falmouth and local beach and attractions. We will definitely be back again
Joanne
The property was absolutely beautiful. Maureen was so helpful and friendly and had really thought of everything that you may need. So many useful items included just in case, you needed them , from a sewing kit, iron & ironing board, electric clothes rackdryer, hairdryer and electric fan to bathroom products that you may have forgotten to pack. The hot tub was lovely to relax in and it was such a quiet and peaceful location . A lovely large, enclosed garden and plenty of parking right next to the cottage too. We had a great week see you again next year
Andrew
From the moment we got there till we left Maureen was on hand to help us with anything we needed. Was really informative about the area and what we could do and was only a phone call away if we needed anything. Cottage was 1st class, clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We went with our 2 kids 16 and 15 and are dog, and all were made to feel welcome, dog was even provided with his own treats and toys so he was happy. Garden was massive snd secure so he had a ball. Hot tub was a god send as weather was not the best but with Maureen's advice we were busy all week visiting places we would not of done without her help, then hit the hot tub at night. Cottage was in such a quiet location so chilling at night was so easy. Honestly could not fault the Cottage or the owners, both first class. Thank you Maureen for letting us stay at your amazing property. Hoping to come back again soon.
We had a super week enjoying Demelza Cottage. A very big thank you to Maureen and John. We travelled down to Cornwalll from Yorkshire and after a long drive were delighted to receive such welcome gifts not only in the form of a Cornish cream tea for my wife and I but super goodies for our two daughters and our dogs. First impressions still count today as they have always counted, Maureen has got it spot on! The cottage was immaculate and the kids and dogs loved the garden and the hot tub was enjoyed in the evening after a day on the beach. This is a fantastic property and one we will certainly aim to return to.
Catherine
Our first time staying in Demelza but would recommend it every bit as much as the other cottages we have stayed in here. As ever everything was perfectly prepared for our stay and Maureen was the perfect host. The gorgeous weather was an absolute bonus! A wonderful location we keep coming back to for our holidays with the dogs thank you!
Victoria
A wonderful holiday because of the fabulous accommodation and facilities. Wonderful and very helpful owners. Location is peaceful and yet many things are only a short drive away. Highly recommended.
Another wonderful stay at Nantrisack cottages. Demelza was wonderfully well equipped, super clean, and comfortable. Maureen is very welcoming and goes the extra mile to make sure that everyone has what they need for a great holiday. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Thomas
Amazing cottage in a beautiful location! The hosts were very attentive and helpful. The cottage had everything you could possibly need and the hot tub in the garden was perfect at the end of a day exploring! All the sites are a short drive away. The welcome hamper and goodies were incredibly thoughtful! We cant thank you enough for a perfect Christmas getaway!!
Charlotte
We have just had a perfect week staying at Demelza cottage. The cottage is perfect. We have two small children 3 and 6 months and the cottage and owner Maureen provided us with everything we needed. The perfect place to stay if you have small children. The cottage was immaculately clean and the hot tub was a bonus In an evening when the children were in bed. The cottage is within half an hour or so of most places and is nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of tourist hotspots. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this cottage.
Bridget
We have stayed in many holiday cottages in Cornwall including National,Trust ones which are always an extremely high standard. But Demelza Cottage was the very best in all ways you can think of. We had a lovely week thanks to the accommodation. Thank you very much Maureen and John.
This was our second time visiting Demelza cottage and we had a fantastic holiday once again. Maureen is a wonderful host, with lots of helpful tips and our two girls were so excited at the lovely and imaginative goodies left for them! The cottage is lovely and very well equipped, with lots of little extra touches that make all the difference. Its also very comfortable to relax in and with the two en suite bathrooms we never felt on top of each other as a family of four. The hot tub is amazing and the decking was great to allow us to relax and eat outside too. It also all feels nicely secluded and is lovely and quiet whilst being within easy reach of both coasts and plenty of towns, villages and landmarks. Thank you again Maureen for a really wonderful holiday.
We stayed at the cottage for a week. It is a very spacious, clean well equipped holiday home. Its private, with plenty of outside space too. The hot tub was used and enjoyed daily which was an added bonus.
Lovely property, plenty of space, great location. Had everything we needed. Owners were very attentive ahead of arrival and made sure we knew all we needed for our stay. Definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful warm welcome from Maureen. Demelza cottage is in a lovely quiet setting and with a private garden for our cocker spaniel. the cottage is well laid out and the owner has considered every detail of comfort and needs for visitors. the extra details of a gift bag for our pooch, welcome wine, chocolates, and a box with torch, notepad, spare batteries, and toiletries in the bathrooms were all very thoughtful. There is a perfect large field within the site for dog walking which was perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our spring break and would highly recommend this cottage. we woulld most definitely book again. Thank you Maureen
Catherine
Fabulous cottage with lots of lovely extra touches. Large enclosed garden perfect for our 2 dogs. One of the best we have stayed in. Highly recommend.
The pictures do not do the cottage justice, it is absolutely gorgeous, extremely clean, full stocked with everything you will ever need. The finishing touches are lovely. Nice and private yet not far from anywhere. We stayed for a week in August with our 2 children aged 10 and 12 and our dog, we will certainly be returning. Maureen gave us a lovely warm welcome with lots of nice welcoming treats left in the cottage. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. 5 accommodation
Well located cottage. Clean and superbly decorated and equipped. Summer house and big jacuzzi were an welcome bonus.
Sandra
Wonderful holiday at Demelza. Great location in a lovely peaceful relaxing setting, but not far from the A30. Cottage was spotless, beautifully decorated and really well equipped . Maureen was such a wonderful host very warm and friendly, with great advice on local area. Her cream teas were also delicious and greatly appreciated. Garden was large and secure excellent for our dog to play in and she also loved the toys and treats supplied. Was great to come back from a day out to soak in the hot tub in such a lovely setting. One of the best cottages we have visited in Cornwall ,would definitely recommend and will return
Patricia

Place was amezing. Didnt expect such a peaceful and privacy. Thank you again for lovely week at Demelza. Definitly will be back next year
Carmen
The cottage was gorgeous. Shortly after we arrived Maureen came over to show us everything we needed to know and made us feel like nothing would be too much to ask. The garden is so peaceful and private. A very comfortable house and wellequipped house, which we could have easily stayed in for 2 weeks just a shame we only booked for 1 week this time!
Stephen
Maureen provides every possible requirement in the cottage and makes you feel very welcome. ..dogs included.
The listing did not do the cottage justice. The garden was fully enclosed and large. Inside the cottage had everything we and our dog needed. We were made very welcome by Maureen and hope to visit again in future.
What an absolutely fantastic cottage! We had an amazing time staying here and just loved everything about it. The cottage was immaculately clean upon arrival, very well decorated and kept to such a high standard. Maureen was a brilliant host and very helpful in making birthday arrangements for my wife, in addition she provided a lovely cream tea and welcome treat for our daughter on arrival. We'll definitely be back again!
Fantastic cottage everything we needed

We were met by Maureen, who is so lovely, welcoming and helpful. The cottage is absolutely stunning. Everything has been thought of and catered for and so so much more. From robes and slippers to chocolates, prosseco and cream teas Even the dogs got treats. Maureen and John have thought of everything. It is idyllic, in terms of provisions, facilities and location. We have already booked for next year!! Once you have been here other holiday cottages pale in comparison.
Maureen and John could not have been any kinder or more helpful. We were made to feel so welcome. The cottage itself is beautiful with every convenience you can think of. Stunning location. We will definitely be going back, and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to holiday in Cornwall.

Great quiet property that is in a perfect location to tour the whole of the south west. Maureen is a great host who goes out of her way to make you feel at home. She even supplied a cream tea on arrival and looked after our dog a couple of times so we could go to places where dogs were not allowed. It was a great holiday
Brilliant cottage, superb owner who thinks of everything, the only thing I would suggest is a couple of comfy sun chairs on the decking and a windbreak in the shed for beach trips, as if you travel by train like we did you cant bring one with you Would definitely recommend this property.
