Monks Treasure Reviews

Alex
We had a fantastic family getaway! The hosts were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage’s spacious layout and amazing upstairs views made it really special. We definitely plan to come back soon. Highly recommended!

We honestly had a fantastic time at Monks Treasure! Finding a place that suits two families of four (4 adults, 2 teens, 2 kids under 5) isn’t easy, but this one ticks all the boxes. There’s loads of space to chill out, comfy sofasand rooms that are a good size. The kitchen’s fully stocked with crockery, which was great. The animals around-the cats, donkeys, poniesand swallows-added a lovely touch. Thanks for a really lovely, cleanand cosy stay!
Emily
We had such a lovely time at Monks Treasure! The cottage really impressed us - spacious lounge, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The upstairs snug was a hit with the kidsand the snooker room was a great spot for us to unwind. The beds were super comfyand the kitchen had everything we needed. We also loved the hot tub and the adorable donkeys in the field nearby. The location is ideal for exploring places like Widemouth Bay, Bude, Clovellyand even the Eden Project. Definitely recommend!
Emma
The house was really roomy and comfy, great for our group of seven adults. The owner was super friendly and always around if we needed anything. Don’t forget towels-no dryer!
Emma
We loved our stay! The hot tub and snooker were a real highlight, especially after long days out. The owners are super friendly and helpful. We visited some lovely spots and will definitely return.
Emma
Beautiful place, perfect spot, really enjoyed our weekend stay!
Emma
We loved the peaceful vibe and stunning scenery here. Perfect for a group getaway. The lounge and outdoor space are really spacious and sun-drenched. Everything was spotless, though having just one toilet and ensuite was a bit inconvenient at times. Still, a great stay!
Amelia
The cottage had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away. The horses and donkeys were super friendlyand the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. We really enjoyed our stay and had such a good time!
Emma
We loved the spaciousness of the cottage, perfect for our group of 5 adults, 2 kidsand a toddler. It was spotless and felt really homely. The hot tub and snooker table kept everyone entertained during the rainy days. Just a heads up, no WiFi but Vodafone was fine, 3 was useless.
James
Really enjoyed our stay, the place is in a top spot, well equippedand the owner was super friendly and helpful. Definitely planning to return soon!
Alex
Great place, really friendly owner. The area’s lovelyand we loved the snooker room and donkeys! Definitely recommend.
Mark
What a fantastic property and the location is just perfect! The owners are so friendly and welcoming too.
Lucy
What a lovely quiet spot with loads of parking and a hot tub! The Wifi can be a bit hit or miss, as well as the 4G, but sometimes that's not such a bad thing!! We really enjoyed the spacious living room and the large square dining table was a nice touch. The beds were super comfy too. We’d definitely recommend it for a family get together.
Helen
This is a perfect location for exploring the coast - the barn was very comfortable with loads of space to relax. The farmer was really welcoming and suggested different walking routes for us and our dog. Definitely recommend a stay!
Mark
This place is fantastic to stay at! The owner lives on site and is really friendly and helpful. We found the house to be very clean, comfortableand well equipped. You're surrounded by fields so it’s really peacefuland the two donkeys and horse in the field behind the cottage were super friendly. The only downside for us was the open staircase with no risers, which made our dog a bit nervous, so we had to carry her up and down. That definitely gave us a good workout with her weighing nearly 30kgs!
Sophie
What a stunning location and absolutely lovely accommodation! The snooker table was a blast and the hot tub was super relaxing with fantastic views! We would definitely visit again!
Lucy
A lovely big room perfect for a family gathering. We had a great time with enjoyable farm walks, plus it was easy to get to the sea at Bude and other gorgeous beaches. There's also good shopping in Holsworthy!
Sophie
Just got back from a really cosy Christmas stay at the farm with family and friends. It was absolutely perfect! We loved the hot tub, even on those chilly evenings outside, we felt warm and toasty in there. The games room was brilliant too. All the kids, from the teenagers to the 7 year old, had a fantastic time at the farm. We would definitely go again.
Claire
We just spent a week away with family and friends. There were 4 adults, 2 sixteen-year-olds and 1 twelve-year-old. There was more than enough room for us all. The views are fantastic, the hot tub is brilliantand overall, it was a great holiday! Just a heads up, the nearest pub isn't open during the day, so you'll need to drive out for that.
James
We really loved the barn conversion, but it needs a lot of TLC when it comes to cleaning. The hot tub was in desperate need of attention, along with a few other things. The garden isn't fully secure, but the host did help out with that. There aren't any amenities close by, so you’ll need to drive everywhereand the local pub was closed. It was a bit of a hassle having to drive for everything!
