Northlands Country Cottage With Hot Tub Reviews

This is a brilliant little cottage in a great location. The standard of fittings, furniture etc is high given it is used as a holiday let. I met David who Co owns this property, and he was friendly and gave the impression that nothing would be too much trouble if you asked him. Unfortunately my wife took ill during our stay and we had to cut our visit short. But just as soon as we are fit and able we will return.
Angela
Excellent holiday accommodation. Top spec fixtures and fittings, loved the hot tub. Hosts are wonderfully helpful and friendly. Did not want our holiday to end it was so wonderful.
The cottage has everything you would need and more, very comfortable & a lot of thought has gone into the furnishings. Nice welcome gift of choccies, cider, prosecco which we found in the kitchen, thankyou. Ideal location too and plenty of places to eat nearby plus a Morrisons to do a grocery shop Our only disappointment was there was no meet & greet, so noone to explain to us oldies how everything worked. I did text the owners on our first evening as we couldnt figure out how the hot tub worked despite the 12 step guide leaflet, he did reply quickly and said they were away until Wed but did text a few tips, but it was beyond us, as we've never used one before, so no hot tub which is why we booked that cottage He did pop round Wed when they got back but with the storm due to arrive, we left for our 7hr trip home, so too late for us. Maybe get a friend or family to do the initial meet & greet when youre away in the future as thats important to us ?
Lovely country cottage with everything you need. Nice and spacious in a quiet rural area. A drive out to the coast but not too far. Country pub and shop close by.
Rachel
A beautiful cottage with everything you could wish for to make your holiday perfect. Lovely friendly host David.
This is a very spacious holiday home. Well equipped and even though the property is within the grounds of the owners garden it is totally separate having it has its own pathway and is not overlooked. Lovely views across the country side. We both loved being able to relax in the hot tub of an evening. Had a great time and would recommend this place.
Natalie
Fantastic accommodation and hosts. Location was wonderful with plenty of beaches a short drive away and some nice local walks. Thank you to the owners for the lovely welcome gift, recommendations and the best holiday. We will definitely be returning.
Perfect place with perfect hosts. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. David the owner welcomed us with a smile. The quality of the property was outstanding, spotlessly clean with all the facilities for a great family holiday. My son loved the hot tub. We will be back in thd future.
A great holiday home, immaculate and has everything you need. The lazy spa was a real treat! As was the lazy boy sofas. David the owner was very helpful and friendly, the champagne and cider was very much appreciated! The views from the house are beautiful while sitting on the balcony with a drink in had or morning coffee.
Edward

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, we cannot fault it. It is even more lovely than the pictures on the listing do it justice for! It was spotless on arrival. The beds were really comfortable. The lazy boy chairs in the lounge were amazing, so nice to relax in in the evening after a busy day out. The hot tub was lovely, and a big hit with the kids! It was a real home from home, it had everything you would need. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need, even a cafetiere for that much needed morning coffee. We were also left a little welcome package of drinks, chocolates, and milk, and some tea and coffee, lovely after a long drive down from Manchester. The grounds around the cottage are gorgeous, and the path from the car to the cottage is really cute with lots of different animal statues which the kids enjoyed finding. There is also a great pub, a 2 minute walk, which served lovely food. We really had the best week, and were so sad to have to return home. I wouldn't think twice about booking again if we were to come back to the area. Thank you!
The cottage was definitely a 5 star experience. With a pub, restaurant, chippy and a garden centre that does great food just a short walk away... What's not to like. Plenty to do in the surrounding area from beach walks at wembury and bovisand, Plymouth just 10 min drive away for shopping and a visit to Plymouth gin distillery a must in the Barbican area on the harbour.... Plus Dartmoor only half an hour drive away... All in all had a brilliant time
A very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful holiday home. Northlands is well placed to visit the beautiful South Hams area.
The cottage, was fantasic, spacious, clean, private, ample parking. The owners very friendly and helful, even left a bottle of wine, beer and chocs upon arrival. The hottub was brilliant, nice to relax aftet walking all day. The local pub food was delicious and not expensive, so was the chippy, when you dont want to cook on an evening. Brilliant location for seeing parts of Devon and Cornwall. We will definitely go back.
Robert

A very lovely and comfortable house. Great facilities and view, with walks on the doorstep. Local pub is well worth going to, pizzas are excellent. We met Dave as we arrived and he took the time to show us over the house. A lovely and very generous gentleman.

Wow, wow, wow! This cottage totally exceeded our expectations! David and Jackie were amazing hosts, providing us with recommendations for places to visit, and to eat. The cottage itself was top class! It had everything you could wish for, and more! Luxury at its finest, but with that cottage feel. The view from the balcony was to die for, and laying in the hot tub, looking out on that view, was bliss! If you are thinking of booking, just do it, you will not be sorry. We are definitely going back!
