We had a lovely stay, with some sunny days that made everything even better. The house really is perfect for families-spacious, comfyand well-stocked with everything you might need. The garden was a real highlight, especially since we could dine outside each evening. The electric sun shade was a clever touch, letting us relax in the shade during the hottest hours. Plus, the village is charmingand everything like restaurants, Johns deliand the beaches are all nearby. We’d definitely come back!

What a lovely place! The house had everything we needed for a comfy stayand the outdoor space with the hot tub was fantastic. The outdoor hot shower was a lifesaver for washing our dog after the beach. Sarah was super helpful too. We really enjoyed our holiday - would come again!

We loved exploring the local area, especially Instow’s stunning dog-friendly beach. Coming back to Sandbars was always a treat, especially with the hot tub and pool table. Really enjoyed our stay here. The house is modern, spotlessand well-equipped, nestled in a peaceful cul-de-sac just a short walk from Instow estuary. The garden was perfect for our dogand the location made exploring North Devon easy. The hot tub’s a bonus, though it’s quite hot at 40C. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. Perfect for our big family group, with plenty of space and great facilities. The location near the beach and Tarka trail was ideal. The games room was a hitand the linen, crockeryand towels were top quality. Only slight downside was the hot tub, which was a bit too hot and noisy sometimes.

We had a really lovely stay! The house is in a prime spot, just a short walk to the beach and right next to the Tarka Trail - perfect for cycling and walking. The place was spotless, with fresh beddingand the hot tub was a real treat. The sitting room was super comfyand the outdoor space was great for relaxing. The only downside was the shop in Instow - only oneand a bit pricey for essentials like toothpaste. Overall, a fantastic week with fantastic weather in mid May ’23!

The beach is fantastic, perfect for year-round visitsand the property itself was modern and well-equipped, making our short break very comfortable. Its location is great, just a walk to local pubs and eateries. It might be a bit pricier than some places of similar size, but overall, we really enjoyed our time there. Definitely recommend!

The outside space is fantastic, with plenty of options to sit in the sun or shade. Parking for two cars was a bonus. The beds and furniture were all clean and comfy. The hot tub was a real treat, though an extra midweek clean might be a good idea for safety and hygiene. The location was convenient, just a short walk to the sea front and local bars. This is a really unique attraction in the Devon region with many unique events taking place throughout the year.  The Halloween Festival in October is well planned where you can take pumpkin carving workshops, ride the ghost train and go to witches flying school.  All year round there are some excellent

During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
