The Penthouse is a fantastic place to stay in Cornwall. Its peaceful, decorated to a great standard and its just a home away from home. I will certainly be coming back here in the future. Thankyou Anne Sykes.
We had a lovely week in The Penthouse. It was very well equipped with everything we needed even with bits you wouldn't expect. It was a home away from home. The welcome basket was very thoughtful and very welcome after our long journey. The weather was also kind to us on our week which is always a bonus.
Outstanding accommodation ideal location
The apartment was very clean and well presented, with the addition of welcome pack of Cornish fare. The Manor House is situated in a small holiday complex but this did not impinge on the tranquility of the main house and our accommodation, The Penthouse.
The Penthouse apartment is lovely. It is spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Good communication from the owners and a lovely welcome pack of local goodies. Easy to get to St Ives which is 6 miles away and lots of local stores for groceries. I would recommend this to friends and family and would happily go back again. We visited some great places in particular the Minack theatre and Porthcurno beach which Were fabulous!
The apartment was a real home from home experience and the owner had really thought of everything down to providing lunch boxes for picnics, pizza cutters and many other ad hoc things which are often not thought of until you need them! The apartment was very clean and tidy and set in a beautiful location. The grounds were very well maintained and the apartment was very peaceful and away from everything. We did try out the onsite pub for a meal which was not the best but edible! The views from the apartment were amazing and despite being a bit unfortunate with the weather, the whole setting is beautiful. The owners sent us emails with really clear directions and the information they provided regarding local attractions and places to visit was really helpful to us as this was our first time in Cornwall. The owners did not bother us at all during our stay but we knew how to contact them if we had needed to. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment and if we ever venture back to Cornwall we would be happy to stay here again.

Renter has no control over the heating. Cold early in the morning and when we had got wet one evening. Limited opening hours for the swimming pool would gave been useful to know in advance.
The penthouse was amazing, clean in fact spotless, a welcome hamper full of Cornish goodies, views to die for looking over rolling countryside, for a family of 4 this was a more than big enough apartment, it was a home from home. Plenty of games to have family fun in the evening along with comfy sofas and massive smart tv. Access to praa sands and Hayle beech within under 10 mins by car, st ives also the same. Perfect base with access also to Penzance for shopping at Tesco or sainsbury and a amazing fish and chip shop called Lewis fish and chips best in town. Thanks to the owners and Sykes for a amazing home from home for the week would of moved in liked it that much.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed, and a lot of things we though we didn't. The welcome hamper was fantastic, even down to the pint of fresh milk left for us in the fridge, and with tea and coffee in the hamper, we could gave a welcomed cuppa after the long drive. All in all excellent. Thank you.

We had such a lovely time, the penthouse was a lovely place to stay and the gift box on arrival was a lovely touch. Would visit again.
The directions to the property provided by Sykes were not accurate in contrast to those given in an email from the owner which were fine. Sykes said that takeover time was 3pm whereas the owner said it was 4pm. In the event it was ready by 3pm after I had explained the situation to the owner. Operating the TV was a nightmare.Kept getting ' no signal ' and it took an age to get anything. We went in mid May and the restaurant does not open until 6pm so no chance of even a sandwich on arrival. The nearest facilities are a mile away. At the end of May the restaurant is open all day. On the plus side, the owners left the most generous welcome pack we have ever had and they met us on arrival to help carry our bags up the 30 steps to the penthouse. The manor is in glorious countryside and was a perfect base for exploring this part of Cornwall. We had a marvelous holiday.
