The sun beds were a fantastic bonus on hot days, the patio area is a little sun trap. The hot tub was used daily when we arrived back from our day out. Its especially relaxing with the lights on at dusk. We loved how private it was with no one around. We were sad to leave this little gem of a place but will definitely be back.

Superb location close to Woolacombe, Croyde and Ilfracombe Hot tub was very welcoming after a day out exploring the countryside and many beaches. The lodge is stunning and there is more than you need for a holiday. Towels, robes, slippers, prosecco etc were a lovely touch. The bed is very comfortable and a great shower. It could be a little too high tec for some people. It would be nice to have some sort of shelter over the jacuzzi for bad weather. The sofa looks lovely but is very uncomfort able. Very quiet peaceful location.

The lodge exceeded our expectations when we first arrived, it is in a great location just a few miles from the beach, and the host Jordan arrived shortly after us to show all the features of the lodge. Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families. There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings. Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast". There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga. As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
