Buckland House and Annex is a wonderful, detached holiday home resting in Lower Durston near Taunton, Somerset. About Buckland House and Annex

Buckland House and Annex is a wonderful, detached holiday home resting in Lower Durston near Taunton, Somerset. Ideal for large families and friend groups, offering guests a whole host of bedrooms, an indulgent hot tub and a barbecue for al fresco dining this holiday home is certainly not to be missed!

Starting off with the annexe, there is an open-plan living space in here which has a seamless flow of the kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Couples can enjoy the convenience of having all their necessities in one space!

There is a toasty electric fire to keep you nice and warm as well as a Smart TV in the bedroom for when you want to enjoy a lie-in. Over to the main house and there is no expense spared with lovely living areas and a fun-filled games room!

The living areas consist of a kitchen, dining room and sitting room which has a lovely woodburning stove for those colder evenings. Take the afternoon chit-chat outside and enjoy a sizzling barbecue, a steamy dip in the hot tub or even a swim in the pool!

When you decide to turn in there is a plethora of spacious bedrooms including five super-king rooms all with Smart TVs and a triple bunk which is great for any younger guests. Discover nearby attractions like Wells Cathedral or Dunster Castle.

Make the most of the idyllic surroundings with a gentle stroll, or a bike ride exploring a range of trails and paths while taking in the stunning views of verdant landscapes. Why not visit the town of Bridgwater, where you can admire the historic architecture and browse the delightful shops and cafes that line its streets?

For a day out, head to the market town of Tiverton to explore the striking Tiverton Castle and visit the local museums and galleries. If you fancy a day by the coast, travel to Weston-super-Mare to enjoy its sandy beaches, lively arcades, and bustling promenade.

The grown ups will love to wander around the beautiful gardens taking in the stunning floral displays while the children will enjoy the garden games, nature trails and open space to run around. There are also educational shows to see including Milking Show and the twice daily Bottle Feeding Show.

Special events take place throughout the year in high season including talks and crafting sessions.
