We have had a lovely holiday. The lodge is very comfortable and well maintained, with everything you could need for a perfect stay. The surrounding views are stunning and there is lots to explore nearby. We loved the hot tub as well!
This was our second visit to this lodge and once again everything was perfect. Very clean, plenty of room and great facilities including a hot tub. Food in the pub on site is great and just a few minutes walk from the beach with golden sand and clear water. Highly recommended!
Lovely place and location.
Had a great stay at Lodge 22 the site is very peaceful and the views are amazing. We had a 8yr 12yr and a 16yr old with us and the accommodation was plenty big enough with all the facilities. The hot tub was a big hit.The on site facilities were good too lovely pool and the restaurant food was really nice.would definitely recommend.thankyou too to Simon and Tracy for the welcome wine and chocolate x
Estelle
This was the best lodge we have ever stopped in! Decorated beautifully with thoughtful little touches. Astonishingly beautiful views surround the lodge with a hot tub. Quiet area of the holiday park. The owners left an information pack which was very useful. Cornwall is so beautiful lots of beautiful places to visit. You will definitely need a car. The parkbeaches is not suitable for wheelchair users.
The lodge was very clean, wellmaintained and well equipped e. G. kitchen with many pans and dishes, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, large table and sofas, beds with good mattresses. There is a beautiful view from the spacious terrace over the landscape, the surrounding is very quiet and beautiful. What I liked very much was that there is lots of space between the lodges to feel private. Personally I didn' t like the wirlpool too much and the noise it made from time to time, but of course many people will like it. A few seat cushions for outside would have been nice, but this is not really of importance. The whole little holiday complex where the lodge is situated is very clean and nice with friendly people at the reception and a restaurant and caf. The steep coast is right on the other side of the hill a few minutes' walk. The holiday park has an own bus stop where a bus runs regularly between Plymouth and Cawsand. It' s half an hour' s walk to Millbrook, a nice village with shops for food and a pub too, the way back takes a bit longer as it goes up quite a bit. The owners are very nice, helpful and easily to contact. So I fully recommend this lovely home to everybody who likes nature and relaxation in a quiet and beautiful environment.
We had such a lovely stay at Lodge 22! Beautiful location and very spacious lodge! Very comfortable stay! Great facilities! Cant recommend enough! Also had very good communication with the owners and you could contact them whenever you needed to!
22 has been furnished to a high standard, all aspects of your stay and catering have been provided. Lovely hot tub with views of the valley. Great that trolley available to take belongings too and from 22. 22 very spacious, owners available to be contacted should it be required. Very good information book available for on site and local amenities. Due to the wonderful weather we had, bedroom was very hot, a fan would have helped cool this, but apart from that everything was fabulous
The lodge looks even better than the photos. It was very clean and well arranged. We had a great stay and we would definitely consider to comeback. The price was very decent for the level of comfort the lodge provides. Thank you for a great experience.
We had the most amazing stay at Lodge 22. Simon and Nicky, the hosts, were informative and helpful prior to and during our stay. The lodge was comfortable and had everything we needed and the hot tub was great at the end of a busy day! We will definitely be recommending to our friends and family and hopefully will be back again. Many thanks for making our stay to visit family even more enjoyable.
Gareth
Beauty of a lodge had a great time.
The lodge was perfect and was equipped with everything you could need. The views were amazing and the hot tub very relaxing.
Lovely stay X beautiful accomodation , unlike anything we have ever had. Very unique and comfy Going back very soon!
Tracey
Lovely lodge with VERY comfy sofas and beds. Loved the decor and everything was provided that was needed and more! Location was peaceful and relaxing, on site pub does lovely food and coffees. Thank you!!
Glenda
This was a beautifully clean and comfortable lodge with the most comfortable bed ever. The only addition i can think of would be a coffee machine. There was only 1 disappointment for ourselves, the hot tub, only 1 side of the jets worked, and then very weak and the pump was noisy, we only used it once, we do have high standards on hot tubs though as we have one at home. The pub on the site was very good fir drink and food as was having the swimming pool to myself. Better instructions on finding the lodge on the site would have been helpful and we couldnt use the dedicated parking bay as other people were using it.
Everything we needed, the lodge is lovely! Thanks for a great break.
We had a wonderful weeks stay at Lodge 22 in August. Simon was fantastic with communication before we arrived. On arrival we found a very well maintained , clean and tidy lodge. It provided everything we needed for our self catering stay and more! The hot tub was the icing on the cake and we spent most nights in there after a busy day exploring the delights of the surrounding area. The beach is situated a few hundred yards from the lodge. Although it is a steep walk down it is certainly worth it with a breathtaking scene that awaits you! Our children enjoyed body boarding and there are surf lessons available too.The clotted cream scones from the caf at the top were the delicious incentive for the walk back up. We particularly enjoyed nearby KingsandCawsand with its picture perfect views and hired kayaks to explore the coves and inlets. We honestly had the best time and can't wait to visit again and have already booked for next year!!
Beautiful lodge and very homely and welcoming, the little extra touches in staying in a owner home lodge what obvious. Would recommend, only problem for us is that we have a special needs daughter so the walk to the lodge from the car park did cause us some problems and there was no way of getting a wheelchair to it. The restaurant was a total let down, food displayed on the website and in the menus was cut in half and there wasn't staff or no clear instructions what the procedure was to order. We sat at our table for 20 minutes with no menu once i found the waitress and asked what we was to do get your own menu from the bar then order from the single bar person then another 30 minutes to line up at the bar to order. We would have loved to stay the night there but even during your meal if you wanted another drink it was a 30 minute wait in the line to the bar. Clear instructions would have been helpful or even someone to tell you. Swimming pool was nice but with a family of 6 the 36 each time was a little much on top of the 35 for an extra car to park in the car park.
We had a lovely week at lodge 22. The weather was far from ideal but the hot tub was great to come home to each day. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't in the kitchen too so we could cook properly which saves money with teenage mouths to feed. The view across to Plymouth was unexpected and fab. The nearest beach was our favourite from the week, and almost deserted thanks to the steep steps down to it. Well worth it if your knees can take it. The lifeguards were running 1 to 1 ratios with swimmers! The cafe at the cliff bottom is better described as a vending machine really, so take food! We did surf lessons there with Adventure Bay. Very fun. Cawsand and Kingsand also lovely. As was the ferry ride from Cawsand to Plymouth. Looe Bay very close by for boat trips, crabbing and a more bustling seaside option, and Eden Project less than an hour away and perfect for the Amber weather warning day !! The park restaurant was good food for our treat night out. But we didn't make use of any other facilities there. All in all, a great week, and responsive and helpful hosts. I recommended the lodge to a friend before we even left!
Lovely comfortable Lodge for a peaceful getaway. Beautiful views over to Plymouth and rolling fields, would recommend taking binoculars to maximise this. Plenty of things to do withing about half an hour or so.
Carolyn
We used the Lodge as a base to meet up with family not seen since before Covid! We found it to be very spacious lots of outdoor seating, well equipped kitchen & decent sized showers the ensuite shower & dressing room were a lovely touch! My Mum who at 85 is very much a home bird was very impressed! Simon & Nicky went above & beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible so a huge thankyou to them. We werent ready to come home, very much a sign of a good holiday. Great communication from the owners & Sykes, really couldnt ask for more & we had perfect weather!
Cheryll
My husband having grown up in Cawsand we try to get back to the area as often as we can. I wish we had discovered the Lodge sooner. It was perfect home from home with extras. The owners made contact with us before and during our stay, which we have never had with other properties we have stayed in. The Restaurant on site is worth a visit as well. I ordered sunshine and got it. So all in all it was PERFECT. Fingers crossed we will make it back .
I highly recommend Lodge 22! The beds are comfortable, rooms and lodge was very clean, the lodge has everything you need. Plus had lovely views of the surrounding area. There is plenty of room to park. The hosts Simon & Nicky very welcoming & friendly, went over & beyond to make sure our stay very pleasant and enjoyable. Also managed to enjoy the beauty that Cornwall has to offer. Thank you so much
Narvinder
My partner, our baby & I have recently returned from a break at lodge 22 and we can honestly say we had the most amazing time away. The lodge itself is absolutely stunning, clean and catered for all our needs. The communication from Nikki & Simon was just outstanding before we arrived, whilst we were there & when we left too. It is located in a beautiful location with absolutely gorgeous views. It was so so so nice that we didn't want to leave. We were very lucky that we were able to check in early, which was great due to such a long drive down. We had a fantastic holiday and we can't wait to visit again. For anyone wanting a beautiful break in the UK, for a very reasonable priced accomodation, in a clean, safe lodge with beautiful views and a lovely hot tub thrown in, look no further! Thankyou so so much for having us. Sending love xxxx
Jennifer
We have just returned from a week here and it was absolutely brilliant. Our family originate from Millbrook so we have stayed in many places around the Rame Peninsula and as a base with young children this was perfect. The lodge has its own free parking or one vehicle which if you know the area you will know is not too common. It is bright and spacious with amazing views towards the Tamar. It is very well equipped and comfortable with lovely beds and bedding. The hot tub was a great extra although sadly we had no clear evening skies, maybe next time! The children have asked already when we will be going back so I'm sure we will as soon as we can. The facilities on site are great, you can swim in the lovely pool for under 20 for a family of 4. The site has a bus stop right outside where you can get all over including Cremyl Mount Edgecombe, Cawsand & Kingsand and Plymouth via the ferry. Thanks guys for a great stay
Joanne
Perfect! That's how we would describe our stay at Lodge 22. It was super clean, comfortable, with all the comforts of home and beautifully furnished. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. There was plenty of space for everyone we are a family of four and the hot tub was a lovely bonus! The Lodge is situated in peaceful picturesque surroundings, and was a superb base in which to explore this area of Cornwall. We also made use of the onsite swimming pool, cafe and pub. The Sunday Roast carvery was good, the pool was immaculate and well run and the cafe was conveniently situated nearby. The owners kept in touch during our stay to ensure everything was ok. Thank you Nicky and Simon for making our Cornish break a wonderful one!
What can I say! This place is amazing. The Lodge itself is beautifully presented. Its immaculate and extremely clean. Its got everything you need for a break away. The owners Simon & Nicky were very good with communication by texting us details and making sure we were ok during our stay. We felt reassured knowing that we could contact them for anything not that we needed to as all was perfect. The little touches were great. The area itself is brilliant for exploring the area. There are clifftop walks, beaches and a lovely cliff top cafe for food and refreshments. We even bought a lovely framed picture that was painted by a local artist so we can keep that special memory of our break away. We were very lucky with weather too considering the time of year. There is a bus stop a few minutes walk away where we got on the bus only 2 each way to go to Plymouth for the day. The bus goes to Torpoint Ferry port, then onto the ferry over to Plymouth, then to the town centre. Its about an hour in total. So worth the money. We paid 8 for 2 adults there and back! Would have cost a lot more in a car for petrol and parking. What a bargain! Tregantle Beach and St Michaels Chapel is a must too if you have no mobility issues. There is an onsite bar and restaurant, cafe and pool too. Would definitely go back. Thank you to Simon & Nicky for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge and everything.
Andrew
What a great place to visit, the lodge was exceptional, clean tidy in great order. Everything was perfect, lovely comfy beds and plenty of living space, a real home from home. If you have never visited the Rame Peninsula, you must, it's a hidden gem, quiet, fantastic scenery, Cornwall in all its beauty. I would not hesitate to return. Thank you Simon for a wonderful stay and keeping in touch with us while we there to make sure we were happy, great personal touch. Best regards Andy
Philip
This lodge is a credit to its owners. It is really comfortable and well looked after. There are great views from the living room and the hot tub is lovely. We highly recommend it. We had a nice carvery at the on site restaurant and the kids loved the pool too you do have to pay for this, but it was worth the money . The owners were really helpful and attentive. We booked as some emergency accommodation when our boiler broke in freezing temperatures but the lodge, the views and the facilities turned it into an unexpected little holiday. Thank you to Nicky and Simon.
Absolutely fabulous beautiful location and amazing accommodation Simon and Nicky ... Absolutely fabulous beautiful location and amazing accommodation Simon and Nicky went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect
Pauline
What a beautiful lodge. Photographs didn't lie. Everything finished to a high standard. Everything you could possibly need. Simon and Nicky are very friendly and helpful. Would love to live in this property..it is so nice. The site is quiet with stunning scenery and everyone you meet are so friendly and welcoming. There is some work being undertaken at the moment but it did not interfere with our enjoyment. This is the best we have stayed in with Sykes and would love to return.
Lesley
The Lodge was really amazing we cant wait to book it again. The location was great, quiet and near enough to the car park and facilities but far enough away to enjoy the tranquility of the site with lovely views over Plymouth great sunrises and sunsets
Fantastic lodge, with everything you need, down to amenities, scenery and location. Hot tub is a lovely bonus and a nice comfy bed to lay your head, highly recommended. Location is slightly remote, but we still managed to get about to explore this beautiful location. Best Wishes Di,, Mark and kids
Richard
No22, you did not disappoint, we did not want for a thing, Whitsand Bay Fort location is slightly remote, but we walked to Cawsand took approx 50 minutes and it was well worth it. There is a new Bistro open Kingsand called Olives highly recommended. We ate in the one site restaurant once, tbh not the best. Breakfast in the cafe was good though. The lodge has all the amenities needed to have a pleasurable stay. Hot tub was spot on, but can only really seat 3 people at once.
Matthew
Lodge 22 was simply perfect. Very comfortable, very clean when we arrived and the owner was very helpful with anything we needed to know plus a few events that were going on locally. I can totally recommend this property as my family and myself enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was used every day and was very nice to get into in the evenings. Thank you for the bottle of bubbly and the chocolate in the fridge plus the flowers on the table, nice touch.
Colette
The lodge is absolutely beautiful with outstanding views. Comfortable, spacious, everything you need, gorgeous decor and owners that take care to check on you. If you are up for a challenge the walk to the nearby beach is worth every step clean, soft sand and clear blue sea, you feel completely transported. Stay all day to make sure you conserve your energy for the walk back. Unfortunately, the onsite pool wasn't open and not an extensive menu choice however, do not let that put you off, it didn't take anything away from our enjoyment it's a fabulous site, they're working on it constantly to improve. Can't wait to go back.
A lovely Lodge in a really lovely location with views over the estuary.
Good communication with owner and delightful venue. Very happy with our stay.
