Newhaven Cabin Reviews

Matthew
We had a nice stay at new heaven the property was lovely and warm the sauna was a great touch, hot tub is massive.
Tracey
Beautiful lodge with absolutely everything you need. Spacious and well set out. Sauna and hot tub great addition. Couldn't fault it. Had a wonderful holiday. Was given every opportunity to contact the owners of there was any problems but had no need. Would visit again in a heartbeat.
Jane
Very well equipped cottage and owners were easy to contact if any concerns
Michelle
We had a fantastic stay. The lodge was clean, had good amenities and was set amongst beautiful surroundings. We especially enjoyed the company of the peacocks that came to visit us daily.
Claire
Enjoyed our long weekend stay, the journey down the lane was a little terrifying on a damp misty night, but the location was peaceful and the peacocks were welcomed visitors. Although the lodge was a little dated, the kitchen was immaculate. All heaters worked quick (cold, damp weekend in September). The bathroom is huge and would benefit from someRead more shelving near the sink, and a chair to put clothes on. The bedroom needs a dressing table. Oh and some big mugs needed for the tea drinkers :) Hide

Lovely and relaxing
Tina
Another amazing 5 night break Alex couldn't of been more helpful hot tub and sauna were amazing .all facilities spot on a welcome bottle of wine was waiting for us and Alex brought a tassamo machine down for us to use aswell would recommended to anyone . Thanks to the honesty of the owners telling people that low level cars would find it difficult Read moreto get down to the lodge as some pot holes on the way down Hide

Newhaven cabin was fantastic! It is bigger than the photos suggest, is very cozy (when the heating is on), and has both a hot tub and a sauna, which we enjoyed a lot, not to mention a peacock keeping an eye on the car. You have to drive a bit carefully on the track to the house, but it's a great location for accessing lots of the beautiful coast.
Richard
Stunning location and venue. Would highly recommend to everyone. We loved our stay here, so quiet and peaceful and very homely. The highlight for our children was being able to see a peacock, parading around and of course the hot tub!!
Kiera
Really comfortable and homely cottage. The property was spotless and provided all the necessities for our stay. Nicely located within driving distance of shops and local attractions while also being secluded for privacy and peace.
Katie
Really spacious and comfortable lodge. Beautifully warm during a very cold spell, we had to turn the heaters down. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Hot tub is huge, with lots of jets. Lovely having it under cover so can use whatever the weather. The track down to the lodge is pretty bumpy with lots of pot holes, so beware of your tyres on your waRead morey in and out. There is a sauna, but no instructions for use, and we didnt use it. Hide
Rolandi
Wonderful location for a quiet peaceful holiday. Cant praise this cottage enough, absolutely amazing. We hope to be back again. Thank you for everything.
Ann
The lodge is stunning, spacious and well equipped. Perfect for quiet time out but also close to so many beautiful places. The peacock visited every morning but was not noisy.
Alli
Overall we had a lovely break nice and relaxing and quiet. Only downside is the distance from the main bedroom to the only bathroom and at night this can prove hazardous and painful.
Monique
Very spacious Comfortable with nice furnishings Hot tub and sauna lovely
Virginie
We had a lovely time in the cottage. Tucked away but close enough to Branscombe or other villages: we visited 5 or 6 different beaches within 10/15min drive. After a day exploring you can relax in the jacuzzi or chill in the sun on the front patio. The place has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable - even a sauna room! Thank you, would d efinitely consider booking again
Amy
We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage on the weekend. It exceeded our expectations and the space was amazing. The resident peacocks were lovely to watch every morning and the hot tub was the cherry on top of a great stay. The location was also great. I would highly recommend.
Graeme
Fantastic 5 nights at the cabin second year in the trot, comfortable bed, great hot tub and sauna, Alex was really accommodating and helpful, cannot fault it again
Janice
A bit off road but access to many towns all within easy reach. Cabin fantastic, very comfortable and spacious.
Elisha
Absolutely beautiful cottage in a beautiful location! We didnt know there was a sauna so that was a lovely surprise when we arrived. Would 1000% return to this beautiful holiday home and am hoping to book again in the summer.
Michelle
A warm and comfortable cottage I would recommend a stay here with the proviso that it is fairly isolated and not within walking distance of anywhere.
Tonia
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and chill and relax this is the property and location for you. Cant fault anything we had a lovely three nite here. Superb sauna and large hot tub which held its heat. Great and quick communication with owner will be booking again.
Stuart

Such a beautiful property Picturesque surroundings And no noise pollution from the roads Property was clean and well equipped Pictures onn. The site do it no justice couldn't believe how big the place was Tub and sauna was fantastic If your looking for. Relaxation in Devon this is th e place for you
Julie
Lovely big cottage with a sauna and hot tub (although couldnt get the sauna working and gave up). Great location for exploring Seaton/ Branscombe/ Beer. Rural and so watch out for fox poo on pathways - I unfortunately found it!
Hannah
The property was lovely really comfy so nice and warm only dropped a star due to hot tub not working for the first couple of days and no to full power. Would love to stay again. Thank you
Rachel
We had a wonderful week in the cabin despite the bi-folds being broken and it being nearly 30 degrees! Its a great base with lots to do nearby. The peacocks were loved by all! The wifi isnt great- so dont expect to rely on it if you have children. The hot tub is a wonderful addition and almost big enough for my kids to try and swim in! Its beautifu lly decorated, comfy and has plenty of amenities- hair dryer etc. Its also very private and quiet (minus peacocks at sunrise/set).
Amanda
Had a lovely week at Newhaven Cabin. Peaceful location. Plenty of space. Nice walk to the lovely Branscombe Beach which took 1 hour through the countryside. Very handy location for sightseeing. Gorgeous coastal walks. Recommend the Mason Arms in Branscombe for food and The Anchor in Beer. Cabin well equipped. Lovely comfortable bed but the pillows and quilt let it down. Loved the friendly peacocks!! All in all would recommend :)
Ruth
Restful location away from the hustle and bustle of life. Branscombe beach was superb and a short drive away ( you need beach shoes) we did walk there one day which was hard work. Spent most of our time walking the coastal paths but really enjoyed coming back to the hot tub to help us recover
Carol
Lovely location. Shame bifolding doors not open in winter months (we stayed in july and were locked). Hot tub overlooked (literally 1 foot away from owners windows, however, they keep their curtains closed all the time). Peacocks are so beautiful but very very noisy at dusk and Dawn in summer months which means you do not get a lot of sleep. Cabin not independent from owners house but this was not an issue and we were left alone. Contacted them with internet issue and owners were lovely.
Diane
A lovely place to stay and very comfortable; a few little tweaks will make it even better. Thankyou so much we had a great week.
Graeme
Amazing 4 days away, lovely lodge in a great area, sauna and hot tub were fantastic, well equipped and the local wildlife were very friendly especially the peacocks, will certainly be booking for next year
Sarah
Our stay at Newhaven cabin was very enjoyable, a very spacious, cosy, romantic and tranquil place to stay. Loved the sauna, sitting in the hot tub watching the little wren fly back and forth to the nest and listening to and watching the peacocks as they roam freely around the grounds. Waking up to beautiful views of the countryside every morning wa s heavenly. Would definitely come back again.
Diane
Very clean well equipped and a fantastic location would recommend to anyone thanks again
Charmaine
A lovely cottage on a quiet farm. The welcoming peacocks are beautiful and often come right up the the cottage. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you'd need. The hot tub is just amazing! We had an absolutely fantastic stay here. Close enough to the beaches, towns and plenty of attractions.
Seonaid
Beautiful location, very peaceful and relaxing after long walks by the coast.
Stanislaw
Everything was better than expected. Lovely cottage in very remote area. We've been positively surprised by the "user manual" left for us and by the little gift we received at the beginning. Sauna and hot tub are in great condition and you will love the view from the living room (especially when peacocks are slowly walking around - yes, there are f ree range peacocks there!). We will definitely come back for more. We wanted to thank the owners for creating such an amazing place.
Kamil
Outstanding
Teresa
Was even better than the pictures and what we imagined
Nikita
It was lovely and quiet and my little boy love the peacock lots of room and really warm
Neil
Lovely remote, peaceful setting but close enough to local towns, pubs/restaurants etc. to not be a problem. Fantastic hot tub and sauna, perfect for a relaxing break away from the madding world. Spotlessly clean and tidy - We will be back!!
