Such a wonderful place to stay. The barn was very comfortable with an eclectic style and had a lovely private garden. Watching all the birds visit was a highlight for me! There are stunning views to the front of the house, where you can sit, which makes you feel you are miles away from anywhere and yet Torrington is only a 5 minute walk. Fabulous place! Enjoyed many walks, beaches and the hot tub! Gavin is a terrific host. He showed us round his property and shared his amazing plans with us. Scones and eggs on arrival were much appreciated. Hoping for 2 weeks next year as so much to see and do. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing and relaxing time staying at this property. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating, going out of his way to make our stay special. The view on top of the hill was stunning and perfect to have a coffee in the morning or watching the sun go down in the evening. His 2 dogs are very sweet and ours will miss his new frien ds. We highly recommend staying at Maple Barn, its situated in a lovely peaceful location but not too far from local amenities. The owner Gavin made us feel really welcome and was very helpful, the eggs for breakfast was a nice touch as was the Devon cream tea after the long drive down. The cottage is well equipped and very spacious with a lovely big h ot tub to relax in after a day walking or cycling.

Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely layed back retreat. It was lovely to meet Gavin on arrival,he made us feel very welcome. Its location is perfect being so close to the town centre and is just a walk away from all the shops anyone would need.Having said that, you do feel like you are staying in a beautiful rural spot. highly recommend a stay a t this cosy and comfortable place.

Welcomed with lovely afternoon tea & fresh eggs from Gavins chickens. Cottage is lovely with a nice enclosed garden & the hot tub is fantastic. Great area to explore Devon & North Cotnwall,fantastic beaches near by & found some great pubs & restaurants to eat in. Would definitely return.

A comfortable, quiet, secluded cottage in an excellent location with lovely dog walks from the property. Very dog friendly with a safe garden. Within easy reach of the beach at Westward Ho! where dogs can run off lead. Five minute walk to the village with all essential amenities. A very relaxing holiday.

Very well equipped, spacious, clean and well located property. Gavin was very helpful in suggesting areas to visit. Secluded property with great views yet only 5/10 mins walk from all amenities in the town. Can recommend sandfords bakery. All local pubs are very dog friendly and thai food at torrington arms is excellent. Many local walks for our do g and in easy driving distance of several beaches.

There was a lovely cream tea and fresh eggs left for us on arrival, The garden is really nice, it attracts lots of birds. The hot tub was great. Absolutely the best place weve stayed in. Loved it so much were jack next year. The barn was clean spacious and so beautiful. The owner was so welcoming and friendly really lovely guy and gave us fresh eggs. The ducks were so cute. Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
