There are miles of good private walks over the farm with wonderful scenery and these can start right from your front door. Get up on the moors for a truly wild landscape, wildlife and great views.
Herds of red deer can frequently be seen grazing on the moor, and for the bird watchers, there are Buzzards, Kite, Snipe and Woodcocks to be spotted. Stable Cottage is located only a short walk from the small village of Challacombe, with it's exceptional and unusually named local inn The Black Venus.
There is also a village shop which sells lovely pasties, cream teas and is handy for essentials and local produce. Discover the string of sandy beaches on North Devon's north coast, including Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde.
Other attractions include Exmoor Zoo, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and Watermouth Castle with it's family friendly attractions. Or visit the pretty sister towns of Lynton and Lynmouth which are often referred to as Little Switzerland with their famous cliff railway.
Tucked away up a private lane lies this lovely detached, stable conversion which is situated on a 1500 acre working farm and is bursting with charm and character. Head up three external steps and enter this delightful property, where you are immediately greeted by the light and airy open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with bi folding doors that open into the enclosed garden.
For those cooler evenings light the cosy wood burner and settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the smart TV/DVD. The kitchen, which has an electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee machine and microwave, is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes.
