The spot is truly perfect if you want total privacy, especially in a group. Harlech Bay’s scenery is stunning - honestly, the view took my breath away. I loved relaxing there for hours with a glass of wine, soaking up the tranquillity. It’s really special!

We had a lovely stay at this holiday home! The upstairs has three double/twin beds quite close, but the downstairs bedroom and annex are separated, which worked well for us. The drive up is a bit long-over ten minutes on a narrow lane from the main road-but the stunning countryside and peaceful views made it totally worth it. Only thing we’d suggest is adding a shed for bikes; they’re probably safe from theft, but the Welsh weather isn’t kind to good bikes. Overall, a great little retreat!
Emma
At first, the drive to the cottage was a bit nerve-wracking-narrow and quite steep, so a little tricky. But honestly, when we finally arrived, the breathtaking views and charming cottages made it all worth it. Inside, everything was warm and cosy, just how we like it. The owner and maintenance team were super friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. We didn’t want to leave and are already planning to come back. Thanks for a lovely break, we had a great time!

We recently stayed at Harlech Retreat for my Mum’s birthdayand it was such a lovely experience. The place itself is gorgeous, super cosyand feels really welcoming. The hosts surprised us with a nice little treat pack on arrival, which was a lovely touch. The views are breathtakingand the peaceful atmosphere, with birds singing, made it so relaxing. We lucked out with sunshine, making the scenery even more stunning, especially across the water to Portmeirion and those amazing sunsets from the hot tub. Truly memorable!

We've stayed in quite a few self-catering places both here and abroadand Harlech Retreat really stood out. The place is so cosy yet spacious enough for everyone to find their own corner, which was great for our family, from the little one to grandma. The view is absolutely stunning, no matter the weatherand there's plenty to explore nearby. It felt like a proper home away from home. Definitely one of our favourites so far and we’ll be coming back! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Erw Wen, a charming rural farmhouse nestled in Eryri National Park. The views of Yr Wyddfa and the surrounding mountains are breathtakingand you can also see Cardigan Bay, Portmeirionand Criccieth from here. The kitchen was modern and well-stocked, perfect for cooking up a stormand the beds were super comfy and clean. We loved relaxing by the fireplace during the colder monthsand the hot tub was a real treat after a day exploring nearby beaches and towns. A fantastic base for discovering Harlech and beyond!
