Llwyn Aethnen Reviews

We had a lovely stay on our return to this property. It has everything we needed as a family of five. The Owner Iwan was there to great us on our arrival and provide all necessary information regarding the property. The cottage is extremely comfortable and suited our needs. We are already looking forward to returning in the summer. Thank you.
The cottage was lovely, there was everything at the cottage to make our weekend very comfortable. The hot tub was very welcome the children especially loved it. All in all we had a very comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend it
The property is absolutely stunning set in beautiful surroundings ,it ticked all the boxes for our family, Iwan was a great host ,he even left bread milk and cakes for our arrival. An allround great experience

Excellent accommodation, in a fabulous part of the British Isles. The facilities were like home from home it even has a cheese graterprevious comment
We had a fabulous family weekend at the cottage. It is perfectly placed for a short break, allowing easy access to a range of activitiespastimes around the Lleyn Peninsula. We stopped on the way there, to visit Parc Glynllifon about 2 miles from the property with nice walks around the grounds. The property itself was spotlessly clean, well equipped and spacious. The hot tub was fabulous and again, spotlessly clean. Iwan was there to greet us and gave us clear and helpful information. The only thing that affected me and probably would not be a problem for others was that the bed was very soft too soft for my back! But that did not spoil our break. It was a delight to stay there. Thank you, Iwan
Excellent property. Well equipped and very quirky. Lots of space and the hot tub was fabulous.
We really enjoyed our stay at Llwyn Aethnen. The property is tastefully decorated and accessorised and feels really homely. The beds and sofas are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and appliances are easy to use. The views in the immediate vicinity of the property are beautiful. A walk to to the stoney beach or through the village will give views across the peninsula or of the mountains, no matter what the weather they are breathtaking. You will ideally need a car if you stay here, to be able to explore further afield, but there is also a regular bus service to nearby towns like Pwllheli and Caernarfon. The hot tub is a real treat, it was very clean and warm, the perfect addition to relax after a busy day or something to do if you just fancied staying in. We really enjoyed our stay and would also recommend visits to Pwllheli, Criccieth, Betswy Coed, Zip World, Greenwood Family Park and Black Rock Sands Beach. Thank you for having us.
A beautiful, spacious, well equipped cottage. Very clean, comfortable and cosy. The hot tub was a perfect tonic after a day out exploring!
Samantha
My husband, parents, two boys and I had a fantastic week in Lwyn Aethnen and cannot recommend the cottage enough. The cottage was much larger than expected and the facilities were extensive. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We all enjoyed a comfortable stay in the cottage and would not hesitate to book again. The hot tub was kept hot all week and the views from it were beautiful. Thanks for a great week!
This is a superb house with every imaginable facility a family would need. Everything, including furnishing, fittings, books, toys etc. was in excellent condition. The outdoor spa was well maintained and used every day with great pleasure and enjoyment. We received a warm welcome from owner Iwan who told us everything we needed to know. To sum up a 5star house in a good location for visiting local attractions.
The cottage was beautiful, relaxing and in a great location. Iwan was very welcoming and happy to show us around on arrival. Fantastic place to stay. I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in North Wales.
Justin
We were met by the owner on our arrival and was shown around the property and gardens. Iwan was a really genuinely nice guy who was happy to answer any questions. He lives next door and you wouldn't even know he was there. The cottage was so comfortable and warm. Not a single draught anywhere, which you would expect from a aged property. It had everything you could possibly need during your stay. The two bathrooms were really handy, with the downstairs one being really spacious. We can't fault the cottage or owner in any way. As for the hot tub, that was awesome, hot and bubbly. A wonderful, much needed relaxing stay.
Lovely week at the cottage, beautiful scenery, excellent facilities, good location, can't praise it enough, thank you.
This cottage had everything we could possibly want, and would be ideal for a winterChristmas break with the log fire in the cosy sitting room, never used by us as we were blessed with warm weather for our week. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped.
Sharon
Beautiful cottage both old and modern. The hot tub was fabulous with amazing views of the mountains. The kitchen had everything you could wish for. The beds were big and super comfortable. It was an easy 5minute stroll to the beach.
A delightful property, scrupulously clean and maintained particularly the hot tub which is sanitised between guests then held at temperature throughout the week. The furnishings are comfortable, not particularly worn and the external seating area is pleasant to use with its vista of the Yr Eifl ridge.
Beautiful property with everything in good order. Very pleasant host. Would thoroughly recommend.
Yvonne
On arrival we were greeted by the owners mother, a charming lady who showed us around the property. We were left a welcome pack too! This was the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed at. There was an endless supply of clean towels and an abundance of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The televisions had you tube and Netflix, which was great for our little 17th that granddaughter! There were stair gates, highchair, cot and fire guard, all spotlessly clean, as was the whole house. To be critical if feel it was missing an information folder, not about places to visit as there was loads of information, but about using the appliances, WiFi etc. l must stress all of this information was at the property but not in one central place. Finally a visitors book, this is a wonderful cottage and facilities, celebrate this. I would advise anybody to visit this beautiful part of Wales and a fantastic place to stay. We will be back!
The best holiday cottage weve stayed in. Beautiful inglenook fireplace, hot tub amazing. Trefor village is really lovely. The children loved crabbing from the pier in February! Many walks available locally but the best was the walk along the beach to the Ty Coch Inn!
Rachel
The house was in a lovely location and had good facilities. The log burner and hot tub were a real highlight. The house was generally clean and tidy and had most things that were needed. Our only gripes were that there was no welcome pack and information pack provided. It would have been nice to know about local amenities, local walks and general things like rubbish and recycling. It would also be nice to have some milkteacoffee after travelling such a long way, even if just to get you through the first night until you get a chance to pop to the shop.
Amazing property! Highly recommend
This is one of the nicest places we have stayed. A very warm welcome, and the house has everything that you will need, and plenty of towels, bedding, and kitchen is well stocked. It was warm, relaxing and the bonus of the second lounge was great. The location is an excellent base for north wales and we would love to return. Thanks for a great stay.
All the above, it was spacious very well maintained and equipped, would definitely go back again.
Its a lovely property and we really enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the hot tub on the cooler days! The area the property is situated in is lovely and peaceful, with stunning mountain views as you enter Trefor. The only issue we encountered was my elderly parents seemed to find the upstairs shower quite slippery. We would definitely come back to Llwyn Aethnen for another stay!
Denise
Excellent rental, great location and lovely little cove near by. Would stay again!
Justine
Lovely cottage in a lovely area
We had a fantastic stay. The cottage was very comfortable with all we needed. The views from the property were amazing and the garden was a real sun trap. The football pitch and the park just over the road from the property was an added bonus giving my children somewhere safe to have a kick about and burn some energy. We are already looking forward to returning sometime in the future.
Samantha
We had an amazing stay! Iwan met us at the property to show us around and talk us through how things worked. Very well presented and the little details like a child's cup and plastic plates made it perfect for our family stay. Amazing secluded location too with a beach five minutes down the road. We didn't want to come home.
Beautiful house in a lovely location. Lots to do in surrounding areas. Really enjoyed our stay. House was equipped with everything we needed and more. We will cherish the memories we made this holiday. Thank you
Howard
Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a perfect holiday. Hot tub and dining out area are superb. Great location for walks to the beach and surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend.
Hayley
We have stayed in a lot of housescottages for new year with our friends but this was by far the best. It was extremely clean and well equipped. We spent a lot of time playing board games around the big table in the dining room and the log fire was lovely and cosy. We also enjoyed using the hot tub and walking down to the beach. We would definitely come back again. Thank you.
Rachel
Words can't describe how beautiful Llwyn Aethnen really is. If your after a quiet and relaxing holiday then I highly recommend staying at this property, it was the perfect choice and setting for us to escape the madness of city life. The owner Iwan was so accommodating and did everything that we requested to make our Christmas stay feel like home from home and even decorated the cottage for us for our Christmas stay. Iwan even allowed us to come to the cottage a day early and even left us a little welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk, chocolate and prosecco which was such a lovely and welcoming touch. The property is very clean and tidy and is well equipped it literally has everything you need. The views are just amazing especially from the hot tub and the beach is just a short walk away with some breathtaking views and a national trust walk if you want some regular exercise. I highly recommend this property and is deffo on my agenda to stop again.
We were a family group of five adults and had a wonderful stay at Llwyn Aethnen. Lovely warm cosy cottage with everything you need for a stay in this beautiful part of Wales. With two lounges and shower rooms as well as a dining room there was plenty of space for six people without being on top of each other . The hot tub was truly special . Very private and with very little light pollution the night skies were amazing. There was a lovely welcome pack of local produce and even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge chilling on our arrival. Extremely helpful host Iwan , nothing was too much trouble . Thank you for our amazing stay !
Jaycob
We booked a weekend stay here and it was great! An amazing cottage to relax and to have fun. It had everything we needed and more! Will definitely be going again!
Cathryn
Llywn Aethnen is a lovely property which was great to come back to after our days out. It is homely and inviting as well as being extremely well equipped and conveniently located as a base for exploring the Llyn Peninsula, Anglesey and Snowdonia. We would definitely recommend this property.
Virginia
Llwyn Aethnen is a beautiful cottage with amazing views and lovely walks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will be booking again soon.
We really enjoyed our holiday at Llywn Aethnen. Unfortunately we were late due to a tyre puncture and Iwan met us and showed us around late in the evening. We were so happy to settle into such a lovely cottage. Any issues and Iwan responded straight away and sorted it out. The local area is beautiful with the beach a short walk away. The house has everything you would need, for us as a family it was fantastic having the washing machine, dryer and line. My boys loved that their were toys in the cottage also. Iwan thought of everything. We would love to return one day. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Well equipped kitchen and plenty of towels with a lovely welcome pack. The owner was very friendly and clearly explained everything with a full tour of the property.
