Y Deri Cottage Reviews

Debbie
The cottage was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and so well equipped with good quality furnishings. We arrived to a very welcoming afternoon tea, and the owner, Nesta was helpful , and made sure through out our stay that, we were warm enough, and should we have any issues, that she was available at all times. The area is great for walks and cycling. We will definitely go back to Y Deri . The hot tub was great too, with lovely views !
Everything about Y Deri was exactly what we needed for a week in North Wales. Far enough away from civilisation for peace and quiet, but everything we needed was within a 30 min or so drive. The house is comfortable, well finished, stocked with everything you need, and beautifully clean. We didn't use the hot tub, but the view out to the sea from herethe outdoor seating area was lovely, especially on the sunny evenings with nice sunsets. And finally Nesta the owner was friendly and very welcoming, and gave us some useful info on the area to add to our itinerary for our stay.
Place was awesome
It was a very warm welkome. And the owner, Nesta, was very kind and helpful. Nothing was to much to ask. We were very surprised about the delicious afternoon thee we found on arrival. Thanks again.
An absolutely fantastic location. Nester was such an accommodating host and we had everything we needed. From cream tea on arrival to peace and quiet. Amazing adventures. Would thoroughly recommend.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Y Deri cottage. The green fields to the front and the sea view at the rear were beautiful to look at. Our host, Nesta, was most welcoming. As it was dark when we arrived she had put the light on outside the property for us most considerate. The property was warm, clean, welcoming and cosy on first impression on entering and remained so throughout our stay. We even got to see the horses, a thrilling experience. Nesta was very attentive. She was available at the end of the phone and helpful with her suggestions. She could not do enough for us and was very friendly. The cream tea on arrival was most generous, tasty and welcoming. We felt relaxed and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Nesta.
Warm and friendly welcome from Nesta who was prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that we were settled and happy in the cottage. It was also useful to have good recommendations of places to eat and visit.
It was really nice place where You can see a lovely sunset on sea view. The hostnestawas really nice and kind person.they gave us a welcome snacks which was really good.the placekitchen, bedroom was clean and tidy.we really enjoyed our stayed there for 5 days.definitely recommend place to stay

We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation. It has everything you will need and handwash, dishwasher tablets, washing tablets are all included. The owner Nesta could not do enough for us and was always at the end of the phone if needed. We had beautiful weather and saw the stunning beaches and views from the surrounding area. It really is a beautiful place and a beautiful part of the country. We will definitely be back.
Loved the cottage very comfortable and clean home from home and the location is beautiful. Loved sitting in the hot tub looking out over the sea. The sandwiches and cakes on arrival were a welcome treat thanks for arranging that. We had a lovely calm relaxed week and went home feeling chilled . Another plus the sunsets over the sea on a hot day are spectacular. Definitely hope to go again .
Michael
Lovely stay and location. Owner was very helpful and we enjoyed chatting with her on several occasions during our stay. If we were to recommend an improvement it would be to enclose the hot tub as we did feel it was a bit exposed when using it.
Lauraine
We had a lovely time, very close to all the good beaches, Nesta was very friendly and welcoming, fantastic cream tea. views to the sea from hot tub, we will be visiting again. Thankyou for a lovely time thanks to Nesta.
Stephen
Our holiday property was clean and facilities were perfect. Property owner was there to meet us and gave us the details of property and of the local area. I would highly recommend this accommodation.
The lodge is perfect, Nesta is a wonderful host and the afternoon tea on arrival is a lovely touch.

Nesta couldn't have done anymore to make this place a wonderful getaway. It has all the essentials you need together with the comforts of a good mattress, comfy sofas, plenty of space and no clutter everywhere and the luxury of the hot tubs. Put on top of that the stunning location, beautiful sunsets and the welcoming hosts it couldn't be better. Oh wait...the epic sandwiches and cakes that she lays on for your arrival so you don't have to cook. One in a million. The area this is located is also amazing, beautiful beaches, striking mountains and sheer rockfaces and rolling green hills something for everyone and sitting in the hot tub with the most breathtaking sunset I wish we lived there. Thanks Nesta, we'll be back.
Lovely cottage. Friendly host. Beautiful scenery. We had a perfect week.
Samantha
Thank you so much for an amazing holiday. Our children's memories have been filled with an incredible adventure. The cottage was clean, comfortable, had everything that we needed to make our stay like a home from home. The views were incredible. The location was ideal to be able to go and explore the local areas. The hosts were friendly and clearly put alot of effort and pride into their rented cottages. The afternoon tea on arrival was such a thoughtful gesture after our journey it was very much appreciated. The hot tub was clean and like new in the way that it worked. Such a relaxing environment sea views whilst in the hot tub. Amazing We will definitely be back.
Absolutely loved our stay. Nesta and her husband are so friendly do everything they can for you. The cottage is very clean and everything you need. Hot tub very clean. View is amazing cant fault anything. We will be returning hopefully soon Thankyou so much
Enjoyed the sunset hottub with sea view . Lovely to be on a farm with beautiful horses and their foals, calves and other wildlife. A beautiful location to explore and visit. Great accommodation. Great hosts. Fantastic week.
As a couple we have stayed in many cabins & cottages around the UK but this was by far the most impressed we have been. We stayed here for a week & the cabin was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay, even down to kitchen foil, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc.. not only this but on arrival the hosts spent time talking us through the facilities & even provided us with an afternoon tea completely above and beyond. The location was perfect & near to snowdon which we climbed. A variety of lovely walking routes also near by & a lovely little beach just a 15 minute walk away. Overall a lovely stay & we will definitely be booking again in the future.
My partner and I had the most wonderful time away, our host was very welcoming even from a distance and provided us with the most delicious afternoon tea upon arrival which was so unexpected but a wonderful touch! The cottage felt very clean and even smelt clean and fresh, like no one had even been there before us. The hot tub was so luxurious and was well needed after our hike up Snowdon! We loved how rural it was, really allowed us to close ourselves off from the outside world and really relax and feel like we didn't have any worries at all, really made us forget about all the madness going on in the world. We would definitely recommend to everyone and would come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay it was very needed Paige and David x

One of the best cottage I've ever visited. The views in the area are incredible, the cottage itself was tidy and clean with everything we needed. Could not fault it at all and will definitely be visiting soon.
Kirsti
Lovely location with beautiful views. Owners were really nice and left a lovely afternoon tea for arrival that was perfect after a long journey. Garden isnt enclosed but apart from that all was perfect.
Nesta the owner was very welcoming . The cottage was lovely and clean with everything you needed. We enjoyed lovely sunsets from the hot tub. The cream tea on arrival was a lovely gesture , and very yummy! We will definitely be going back in the future.
Michael
Y Deri cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was immaculately clean and we were safe in the knowledge Nesta had gone above and beyond to make the cottage Covid safe. All essentials are taken care of and there was a delicious cream tea when we arrived. My little boy loved the hot tub and the views are beautiful. Nesta was very helpful giving us tips on some great places to visit. There is lots to see and do nearby. We had a wonderful stay and cant wait to book for next year.
The cottage is really comfortable with good facilities. It is in a good location to visit and tour the area. We visited many beaches on the peninsula, climbed Snowdon and visited Portmeirion, all within 20 30 minutes away. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Small touches like an afternoon tea on arrival were a welcome surprise. The hot tub is great after a long day walking. The cottage has all the things you need to enjoy your stay. Measures put in place for Covid are helpful and reassuring on arrival. Sunsets on the local beach are a real treat. We had a great week and really enjoy the cottage, we would highly recommend it.
Lynsey
We were welcomed to the cottage with a selection of cakes, sandwiches and other essentials that we didnt know were included in the stay. Lovely surprise. 100 recommended
Our host was fantastic, despite storm Dennis, she made every effort to make sure we had a good time and allowed us to use the hot tub despite the weather conditions! The place was spotless and decorated well. It was a beautiful location overlooking the sea. We got engaged in the cottage so we will definitely be coming back!
Had a fantastic time nesta very welcoming cottage very warm and comfy and ... Had a fantastic time nesta very welcoming cottage very warm and comfy and spacious hot tub a bonus great to relax at end of days out grandson loved it definitely stay again
The cottage is a little of the beaten track up quite a bumpy farm road, however, this is made clear in the directions. Tesco delivery found us easily enough. The cottage is extremely clean & homely with everything you need ic dishwasher tabsclothsscourerstea bags sugar cofffeewashing up liquid even fresh flowers, a bottle of prosecco & a pint of milk left for us. I'd say the only things we could've done with are a vegpotato peeler, kitchen roll, baking foil & some hooks on the backs of doors there's nowhere to hang your coatswaterproofsfleeces. The cottage is well placed for exploring the Llynn Penninula, everything is a drive away though, the nearest beach around a 20 minute walk away is pebble with rough choppy sea. The nearest shopstakeaways ic chippychinese & Indian are around 34 miles away. Didn't find the pub, again around 34 miles away I think so consider a fooddrink delivery, it was well worth it. Nesta & her husband are great hosts, friendly & helpful. The hot tub is spotless water changed & cleaned after each guest stay try it in darkness with the coloured lights while looking at the stars, bliss. All in all, a great break, would definitely recommend!
Pauline
It would help if there was a book at the property, telling about the locality, including eating places in the locality, and good places to visit. The scenery was fantastic, and it would have helped if we had known where the best places to go. Nesta was very helpful, but it helps if, as in other properties we have visited with other companies, we could have sat down in the evenings to browse through a guest book. It would have helped, also, if there had been a sun umbrella, so that we could have sat outside more. The location is ideal for exploring the Llyn Peninsula, and Anglesey, as well as Snowdonia National Park, with loads of great walks. Just suggestions to make the cottage even more desirable!
Brilliant location for touring without a lot of traveling
We had a fabulous stay at Y Deri Cottage for my husband's 60th Birthday. Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location and the hot tub was amazing! We enjoyed watching the owner's Welsh Cobs in the fields and there are lovely walks along country lanes right from the door. Nesta and Bleddyn were so friendly and helpful and made our stay very special thank you! We cannot fault anything from start to finish and we can't wait to return!
Jessica
The cottage itself was beautiful, very friendly owners who were extremely helpful and the weather being amazing topped the weekend off fantastically. Cant wait to return already.
Beautiful location, brilliant facilities and stunning surroundings!
Elaine
What a fabulous cottage! Modern, clean, designed to a very high standard Perfect. The settings were fantastic mountain views, sea view & all beautifully placed with an added bonus of a hot tub. Nesta Owner gave us a warm welcome & a bottle of Prosecco cooled in the fridge & fresh flowers lovely. She was on hand if needed, but you definitely have your privacy too. The Desach horses on site were outstanding & a joy to watch. We managed to get some picture perfect photos of the horses & our surroundings. Two absolute musts when you visit....View the amazing sunsets from the hot tub and I recommend popping back in the hot tub at night to gaze at the stars! A very affordable place to stay in very beautiful surroundings. Perfect for a romantic break, walking, scenery & pets are welcome too .... We stayed for my Partners 50th Birthday for the first time....Definitely worth a visit & we will absolutely return. Thank You Nesta & Bleddyn
Fabulous stay in Y Deri. A really well equipped cottage and the hot tub is a welcomed bonus at the end of a days walking. The cottage is well situated with lots of activities within a short drive away.
Cant recommend this place enough. Beautiful location, friendly owner and gorgeous property. Immaculately clean and felt like a home from home. The hot tub was a fabulous touch. We went for New Years and there was a Christmas tree in the property which was such a lovely touch. Would definitely return. The location is brilliant and really pretty. If your looking for a peaceful escape but with the option of plenty to see and do locally this is definitely the place for you. Its a short drive to snowdon which is fantastic.
We stayed here over Christmas. We had a wonderful time. Nesta and husband were very warm and welcoming, showed us how everything worked. She also left us lovely little treats Prosecco and goodies. The hot tub was amazing. The barn is situated in an ideal spot, very peaceful and near to lovely beaches. We would definitely recommend this barn and we will definitely be back again made our Christmas special.
Lynne-marie
A little bit of luxury on the edge of Snowdonia. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner Nesta. She met us on arrival and showed us round explaining how everything works including the hot tub controls. Little extras like the welcoming gifts of some Prosecco, Welsh cake and flowers made it feel extra special. The accommodation was good quality and very comfortable. The views of the sea in one direction and the mountains in the other were breathtaking. Would wholeheartedly recommended this as a base to explore the north west of Wales.
