The cottage is well designed and has been well thought about. Little touches like the little lights on the staircase and lights leading your way to the front door. We recently stayed as a family at Apple Tree Lodge for a week and were delighted with the accommodation. The setting was gorgeous and Talgarth was an excellent base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. We even managed to use the hot tub after a bit of trial and error in getting the fire going. The only minor gripe would be that, during the hight tempe ratures, the lodge gets extremely hot due to all the glazing - it might be wise to supply more than one fan for the entire building.

This modern eco lodge is situated in a great village that has all that you need for a comfortable stay. Talgarth is 2 mins down the hill from the lodge and has a Coop and a fabulous ice cream shop that we went to most days. Here you can see 20 or so Red Kites overhead - stunning. Nearby 'Honey Cafe' is a must for breakfast with striking views. It i s also a great base for walking parts of the Brecon Beacons and our boys enjoyed paddle boarding at Pakwood, Dolygaer.

Very good cottage with good equipment. However, since we were there during a heat period, there was no sun protection for the terrace. Likewise, sun protection would be useful for the large windows.

If you have young children the lay out of the cabin could be challenging coupled with the lack of basic equipment for a young child means that it would suit slightly older families.
