Daffodil Lodge Reviews

Gavin
Incredible stay! The place had everything we needed and more. It was peaceful, and the night sky was something special on clear evenings. Thanks for a relaxing week.
Alan
Stayed at this wonderful lodge in September 2024. We were fortunate with perfect weather for the week. The views were stunning from the lodge itself, the garden and even the hot tub (photos included). So in short, would we stay there again - yes, in a heartbeat. The lodge itself has more than enough room for a family of three and can squeeze a fourRead moreth in with the sofa bed. We were welcomed with a really nice, small welcome pack, but you will need to bring extra milk on arrival and of course any Hide
Claire
The cottages was very clean and tidy and the location and views second to none.
Glenda
Beautiful location, quiet with stunning views from every angle. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sheep is a very relaxing pastime. No neighbours, only the very occasional vehicle, bliss. This is our second visit here and we are already planning our next. A truly magical place.
Barbara
Really lovely lodge, outstanding location and hot tub just the added bonus
Richard

Absolutely beautiful location with everything needed to hand, loved our stay and will definitely be back for another visit soon. Many thanks
Anna
Great location, the view from the patio was a daily treat and the closeness of the open common for gentle walking and a morning dog walk or jog was perfect. With the opportunity to rest aching bones in the hot tub afterwards. We had a lovely relaxing time, 3 family members and a dog. It was a perfect stress-free week.
Alice
A delightful cottage up in the hills with amazing views and complete peace and quiet. Very comfortable, warm and cosy. The hot tub is a special treat. Highly recommended.

An idyllic lodge set in peaceful countryside with a short drive to Brecon and all the attractions of Brecon Beacons. Excellently equipt and maintained, cosy, well planned and modern. Hot tub was the star of the show with views across the valley whilst watching sheep and other wildlife. Its the perfect get away for a life detox, with peace and quiet , no light pollution and stunning views. Highly recommend.
Kate
Amazing location, lodge and holiday. Bed was so so comfortable. Lodge had absolutely everything you could need and the view was phenomenal. Only thing that let the place down was the number of flies which were constant and made it hard to relax and ruined having any doors or windows opened but with that said is maybe an inevitably being so close to a sheep field but did dampen our stay a little.
Judith
A lovely place to stay - beautiful, modern, well equipped lodge with superb views. Peaceful and quiet. Friendly, helpful owners. Highly recommended.
Liz
Fantastic cottage with incredible views across to the black mountains from the hot tub & cottage ,a truly idyllic retreat. We were lucky with incredible weather and were able to enjoy the fabulous hill walking .Certainly one of the best cottages we have stayed in and Im sure we will return .
Glenda
The most striking memory of Daffodil lodge is the peace and the stunning views, the only disturbance is the comforting bleat of the sheep and lambs and the birds singing, what could be more perfect. The lodge has everything you need and is very comfortable and the hot tub relaxes away any aches and pains from a long walk in the country side. We wou ld visit again and would highly recommend this.
Gail
Absolute bliss. Perfect location, stunning views, beautiful lodge, friendly owners. What can I say that hasnt already been said. Just book up, you wont regret it. We would love to return one day. Thank you Jan and Graham for allowing us to stay in your gorgeous lodge x
Keeley
Its not a place to base yourself to explore this is certainly an idyll for absolute rest and relaxation with the ability to walk for miles and pop to the local areas if the need it there. The views are stunning and it is complete bliss. My son and I have had a tough couple of years and Daffodil Lodge has a special place in out hearts now and we wil l be back to stay again and explore further with better weather.
Elizabeth
The cottage and location are lovely. Very isolated and quiet which was perfect for us. The hot tub was so nice after full days walking in the Brecon Beacons. Checkout time of 9am is just too early though.
Pamela
Such a lovely relaxing place to stay and up to such a high standard but with a homely feel. What more could you ask for surrounded by hills, sheep with lambs and daffodils!
Stephen
A really lovely, cosy cottage with an utterly sublime view towards the Brecon Beacons. Even when the weather isn't so good you can just sit inside and watch the view with your feet by the fire or relax in the hot tub. It is such a peaceful place. Inside it has all the practicalities you could wish for. Be prepared for a few miles of single lane roa d to get there but it is well worth it.
Isabel
Really lovely lodge, very cosy and the views are stunning. Unfortunately it snowed when we went and the roads to the property get very icy and quite dangerous so we couldnt go out anywhere. Property itself though is lovely, would recommend.
Samantha
Absolutely beautiful couldn't wish for a better setting and property! 10 out of 10 cannot fault it. If you want beautiful rural views all around for miles then this is for you, the lodge was outstanding and beautifully kept, we have been to many beautiful places and lodges but this one by far is our favourite, owners were lovely and welcoming and t he cakes were delicious, we have only been left two days and already looking for dates to return! Highly recommend and thankyou for everything
Angela

michelle
Lovely lodge ,superb views, hot tub wonderful, totally chilling out holiday.
Kelli
Stunning place and surroundings. The lodge looked small but actually, it is very well placed and has everything you will need for your stay. We loved the peace and quiet, the views are amazing and the sofa outside was a fabulous touch that we enjoyed every single day! It be a little warm in the lodge but not uncomfortably so. The hot tub was covere d and this was also a lovely touch which we enjoyed. Excellent choice and 100% recommended.
Bridget
Our second visit to this wonderful property! If you are after tranquility, stunning views and a first class cottage, then this is for you.
David
Fantastic modern lodge with EV charging, hot tub and beautiful views. This is by far the best lodge we have stayed in. Unable to fault. My only recommendation to future guests is to ensure you approach lodge from the south as described in the directions. We came in from the north and the roads are very narrow with few passing places.
David
The best views.
Paul
We spent a really lovely week at the cottage. The views of the valley and black mountains are outstanding, especially whilst relaxing in the hot tub every day. We loved it so much that we are already planning to come back again later this year, so that says it all!
John
Wow,wow, wow. Amazing property with fantastic views in a great location. Hot tub a real bonus and the lambs were so cute. We loved every minute and didnt want to leave.
Adele
Stunning location with views across the Black Mountains. Wonderful walks on the doorstep. The hot tub is an absolute highlight of the lodge with spectacular views from the tub. Well-appointed and very comfortable accommodation. Thoroughly recommend. We'll definitely be returning.
Richard
Location Location Location! The lodge has 360 views to die for . Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons can be seen from the garden . So peaceful apart from lambs in the adjacent fields. Walking and cycling straight from the lodge, miles of cycle tracks about a mile away in the nearby forest. Brecon town is only about 6 miles so ideal for all you shopp ing needs. We loved the jacuzzi even though the weather was chilly. We have becoming to Wales for over 30 years and this property is is the best!,
Amy
Amazing stay. Had the most relaxing holiday we could ask for. Would recommend 100%. Had everything you could want
Nicola
Our stay at Daffodil Lodge was short but very sweet! Going anywhere in February is hit and miss but the location of this lodge is just perfect with gorgeous views all round! The lodge itself is fully equipped and is tastefully decorated and very clean! We were welcomed with scones and Welsh cakes and some fresh milk for which we were very grateful! The hot tub is an added bonus and sheltered on two sides and overhead so was perfect for February weather!
Natalie
Everything was perfect. Thank you for a great break.
Nigel
A great property in a lovely location. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable.
Joanna
We absolutely loved the lodge and the peace and quiet. Just what we needed.
