The Cwm Cilgee Reviews

Arrived Friday evening and the cabin was lit, toasty warm, christmas decorations on, and a christmassy bowl of quality street on the table. It was a real treat to arrive after a longish drive in mid-December. Hot-tub was preheated too which is a thoughtful touch, and we wasted no time making use of it! The rooms are immaculate, i'd never believe a Read moredog (or person for that matter) had stepped foot in there before. The views are spectacular. Opening the curtains each morning was a real wow moment Hide

We (4 adults & 2 dogs) arrived & were greeted by a welcome food pack of the highest quality produce. The cabin/cottage offers a spacious open plan living/kitchen area with 2 double-bedded bedrooms & a spacious bathroom with a lovely walk-in shower. The fantastic hot tub is attached to the main property facing outwards to the wonderful valley view. The kitchen is so well equipped. Sarah & Tony are wonderfully attentive & helpful owners. Loved it so much we've booked for next year already.

We enjoyed a fabulous holiday in this wonderful property. Spacious, clean, light and extremely comfortable with stunning views. Complete peace and quiet yet only 15 minutes from a Tesco/Aldi plus some useful and unique independent shops in Rhayader. Beautiful countryside to explore, lovely walks to enjoy during the day and a welcoming hot tub from where you can view the sun set over the hills whilst watching the red kites. Highly recommend and we will return.

We have just come back from the most fantastic holiday in The Cwm Cabin. We are a family of 4 with 2 labradors. We arrived late on a Friday evening and the hosts had left lights on for our arrival and a wonderful welcome food bundle. When we woke up the next morning the view was breathtaking. The cottage is a very high standard with an equally impr essive hot tub. The scenery in the Elan Valley is stunning and the walks were incredible. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. Thank you so much

Absolutely loved my stay at Cilgee cabins. I stayed in the Cwm cabin and it was perfect! From the stunning view, to the welcome treats, and the intricate details. Everything was done in a way to really make it feel like a home from home. I met Tony, Sarah and the family, who were all very lovely and will always be on hand if you need anything. The moment the sun sets behind the valley, due to there being no light pollution the evening sky was full of stars, which added to making it special
Isha
One of the best stays weve had as a staycation. We all were so comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. The views were beautiful. It was perfectly secluded and even the dog had a wonderful time in the garden. The hot tub was a perfect addition that we loved to use after going on walks and needed a relax. Couldnt recommend this place more . The owners were always helpful and only a call or text away. Perfectly wonderful.
Fiona
A beautiful property in an idyllic location .
Laurence
Just spent a short break at one of the cabins and the place is superb. Fantastic views and a beautiful home with all you need for a break/holiday. Hot tub at the end of the.day was super with the sun going down or a sky full of stars. Welcome pack on arrival was full of local products. Sarah and Tony the hosts are a lovely couple who are only a sho rt drive away. I would highly recommended visiting Cilgee cabins. We are definitely going back.
