The location was stunning, with incredible viewsand it’s super peaceful. It took a bit to warm up the hot tub, but once it was ready, it was perfect. Loved the Welsh cakes and milk as a welcome touch. The radio added a cosy vibe. We left so relaxed!

We had such a lovely stay here! The shepherd’s hut was super cosy and warm, with everything we needed. But honestly, what made it special was the outdoor space - the little wood was perfect for our dogand the hot tub was a great way to unwind under the stars. The swing seats with that stunning view became our favourite spot to just chill out. We loved every minute!
Emma
We had a lovely romantic break, with breathtaking views all around. Just a heads up, bring some extra layers because those hillside winds can be surprisingly chilly, even when it’s warmer out. The hot tub takes a bit of patience to set up, but totally worth it. The bed was super comfy-perfect for a good sleep and relaxing getaway.
James

What a lovely place! The views were stunningand it was just perfect for unwinding. Our dogs loved the woods, running around happily. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into the little details, making us feel really welcome. The hot tub was definitely a highlight - so relaxing! Overall, this spot was exactly what we needed. We all left feeling totally refreshed and grateful for such a great break. Highly recommend!

Honestly, we loved the peaceful vibe here. The secluded woodland setting was just what we needed for a chill break. The place had everything we wanted - super comfy and well kitted out. Definitely a spot to revisit!
Emma
Charming spot with breathtaking scenery, loved it!
Alex Morgan
We loved the stunning views and how peaceful the location was, perfect for a quiet escape. The nearby town of Monmouth was just a short drive away, which was handy for grabbing supplies. The only real issue was the wood for the hot tub and log burner - neither was seasoned properly, so lighting them was a nightmare. After hours of trying, we finally managed to get the stove going, but the logs kept going out. The hot tub was a no-go on her birthday, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, overall, a lovely place!
Emma
This cosy little cabin was just what we needed-beautiful views and so peaceful. We loved relaxing in the hot tub under the starsand it felt like home from the moment we arrived. Everything we needed was there, perfect getaway!
Harriet
We had such a lovely stay here, honestly one of the nicest places we've been. The welcome was warm, with fresh milk, eggs from the owner's chickensand Welsh cakes waiting for us-such a thoughtful touch. The bed was incredibly comfy and all you could hear was the peaceful sounds of nature. We did run out of gas one morning, but the owner was quick to help, bringing his friendly sheepdog Beth along, which was a lovely surprise. Really appreciated how helpful and kind he was!
Emily
We absolutely loved our stay in the shepherd hut! The setting in the woods was truly peaceful and pretty much perfect. Having the fenced area meant our dogs could roam freely without us worrying. The place was cosy and comfortable, with a kitchen suited for simple meals. The welcome basket with eggs, milkand Welsh cakes was a lovely touch. Just a heads-up, be mindful of hornets near the lights as it gets dark - we had a bit of a surprise there! Overall, a fantastic retreat we’d definitely return to.
