The cottage was equipped with everything wed need for our stay, everything easy to find, clean and the flowers and treats were very much appreciated. The location is amazing and the views from the main bedroom window are incredible with sweeping vistas over fields. Horses and a donkey add interest. We love hot tubs and this one didn't disappoint. This little cottage is truly amazing. It is home from home but with beautiful and quiet surroundings. We arrived on a cold February weekend but the cottage was lovely and warm on arrival. We enjoyed time in the hot tub and then back inside in front of the log burner. Upon reading other reviews l have never seen anyone mention the large window in thRead moree main bedroom. Laying on the bed and watching the horses roam around was truely lovely. We are a family of 4 with 2 young boys. We were looking for quality family chill time and it's exactly the experience we had. David and Vance are lovely and very welcoming. We will definitely look at returning again one day. Thank you so much! The Martins Hide

What a lovely cottage. Amazingly well appointed, beautifully decorated, brilliant amount of kitchen equipment (thank you!) and super comfy beds. Lovely wood burning stove for the chilly December nights although the cottage is brilliantly insulated and was very cosy throughout. Really great location for exploring the local area and we made the most Read moreof the easy access to different parts of the coast, nature reserves and a few fantastic pubs. Very nice cottage. Loved the hot tub especially in November! Ideal for relaxing and getting back to a sense of normality away from a busy work week.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Swallows Return. Our hosts were wonderful, the cottage was warm, clean and super comfortable, with everything we needed along with some lovely extra touches. Just what we needed after a stressful year. The animals made things extra special, especially Penny the Donkey. We hope to return. Thankyou M & M

Thank you David and Vance for the most perfect week. The cottage is beautiful and the children felt so comfortable here. We had a lovely week in a tranquil location. Our best find this holiday was the Weston leisure pool - a private pool in Weston Longville, 100% recommend for a luxury treat. We love the views and being surrounded by the animals and hope to return like the beautiful swallows.

Thank you for the warm welcome and goodies on arrival. The eggs made a beautiful breakfast. It is a beautiful place to stay with amazing views to wake up to and watch the sunset. A great week away and we hope to return.

We spent a relaxing week in this well appointed cottage, everything we needed was to hand which made the time so enjoyable. We will not hesitate to recommend Swallows Return to friends and family as it is a very good central point in Norfolk for getting around the County.

Following 2 weeks B&B in May we decided to return and try the self catering. Both of which have been outstanding. David and Vance have been perfect hosts regarding both our stays. We thank you very much and hope to return in the near future.

Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 13 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 16 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 18 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 23 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 26 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 28 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
