Really enjoyed our stay here. The beds were comfortable and I was pleasantly surprised on arrival as the cottage was bigger than it looks on the website photos, there was more room in the bedrooms than I was expecting. We walked to the beach a few times and used it as a base to explore the area, Blakeney, Cromer and Great Yarmouth. We had lovely geRead morel nails done in the spa. The games room could do with a little TLC but we enjoyed going a few times to play snooker, table football and table tennis. Hide

Upon arrival wasnt very clean in side hoover in cottage wouldnt suck up a grain of sand lots of cracks in walls and paint missing, but other than that all ok our second time there as a family and would go back a third could just use a lick of paint and clean
Lesley
A bit further from village centre than expected its OK if you don't have a walking issue. I think you have to like dogs as well we had dogs that were quite annoying quite close to us. A little small for 4 people with an open plan setting but all in all a nice place.
David
Really nice place in a good location hot tub is fantastic and well maintained.
Rita
Great location, lovely private hot tub garden area, accommodation needs improving.
Jenny
Cottage is great and I would definitely visit again
Vicki
Lovely stay. Nice cliff walk to the beach. Very comfortable and clean property.
Laraine
It was a lovely cottage in an excellent rural and quiet location. It was very near the cliff walks to Mundesley village. It does need to be decorated throughout as it seems tired. I cleaned a few spider swats myself which the cleaners should have dealt with. Pipes were leaking in the toilet which could be dangerous. The shower had mould on the cornRead moreers. The hot tub was spotless. We did use the spa which was excellent. Reception staff very polite and efficient. I would return when decorated. Hide

We had a great time in this cottage. Was very clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub was checked and chemicals added daily. Nice outdoor seating area which backed onto a field, so was not overlooked. Plenty of towels provided with tea/coffee, milk, bread and butter provided for our arrival. Games room on site was great for the kids. Village is in a good location, a short walk into Mundesley.
Michelle
We had a lovely stay at Windmill cottage. The cottage is well equipped and the hot tub was an added bonus. The location is lovely and peaceful with a pleasant stroll along the coast path into Mundesley itself. The customer service at MHV is exceptional - we had a little issue with ants but a quick call to reception and someone was straight over - t hey checked everything was ok the next day too. Cleanliness was ok but the sofa needed a clean and a good vacuum.
John
We had a lovely holiday at windmill cottage, its located in a very quiet licoation but still within easy reach of shops, would highly recommend the ship in for meals and pint. The cottage is very well equipped with a gas hob and oven, large fridge freezer and even a wine cooler. Parking is right outside the door for one car so very easy to unload. Would highly recommend
Martyn

It was a lovely cottage, in a lovely park with great views and walks of the beach. Very helpful staff. Great hot tub. Easy to get around because of local bus too. Could not fault except, the oven was impossible to work. It took double the time to cook anything.

We had a wonderful stay at Windmill Cottage. There were provisions on arrival to get yourself a cuppa straight away. Location and customer service at the Holiday Village couldn't be faulted. The team onsite were very helpful and friendly. The Holiday village has great access to Mundesley and the Beach and for further places around the Coastline. Th e hot tub and private garden area were brilliant and the cottage layout and facilities were 5 star. Hope to return next year! The dog loved his stay!
Christopher
Main bedroom window does not lock closed and a plug point adjacent to the mirror for a hair dryer would much appreciated.
Claire

I cant rate this beautiful holiday home highly enough. It was immaculate on arrival and very stylish. Easy check in with key safe. Well equipped with tea, coffee, biscuits, salt, sugar, cleaning bits and bobs and plenty of towels. Really comfortable beds. The private patio with hot tub was wonderful. Hot tub was tested twice daily and kept really c lean. 10 minutes, safe, Cliff walk to a lovely beach - really clean including toilet facilities which were also very clean. A really enjoyable stay.
MICHELLE
Great cottage away from the high tourist spots, had everything we needed. Perfect place for a relaxing week, Hot Tub was a lovely way to end the day. Beautiful traditional beach in the village love it.
Janet
A really nice week and loved the hot tub. Our dog loved all the walks and runs on local beaches which are either a walk away over the cliff tops or a short drive away. Some dog restricted areas during main seasons
Georgie
We had a lovely week in a very clean and comfortable cottage. The hot tub was amazing after a long walk and the location was great too. Worth venturing further north of you have time during your day as a one hour drive will bring you to the beautiful Holkham Nature Reserve and Wells next the Sea.
Lisa
Lovely clean, modern & well appointed cottage, would highly recommend staying here. Hot tub absolutely made it for us we enjoyed looking at the stars from it on an evening. Beautiful walks & friendly village pub (The Ship) within 10 mins walk.
Iain
Really nice property. Good location. Living area and bedrooms particularly nice. Plenty of towels and pillows provided. Toilet looked a bit dated and I couldnt get along with the oven but these are minor points in an otherwise very enjoyable stay. Nicely located for the cliff top walk, proximity to Horsey and Cromer. A real Christmas tree in the li ving area was a really nice touch for a New Tear breakit felt homely and contributed to a really enjoyable break.
Kay
Recent refurbishment means that this cottage was was lovely to stay in. The hot tub was clean and lovely and warm, towels were fluffy and the welcome gifts were a nice touch.
Rachel
A perfectly sized cottage with lovely views completely private and a luxurious hot tub. Spotless inside and very cosy, a great location to visit all the top costal beaches and places of interest. Very dog friendly place and plenty of walks nearby. Excellent customer service from booking and communication prior to our check in, we would definitely b ook again.
Karen

Attractions Near Windmill Cottage

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained an Windmill Cottage itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Norfolk has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 11 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 11 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 17 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 18 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 23 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 28 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
