A beautiful house and stunning views from all the bedrooms, one thing to bear in mind is you do share the outside space with the cottage which is also rented out, which we werent aware of, however we had a fantastic family time. There were 5 off us, myself and husband, my son and his little family, who have never been with little 2 year old, she abRead moresolutely loved her holiday and enjoyed being in the hot tub. Hide

Stayed here as a family of 5 plus a dog in early August 2023. The house is fairly remote, it's proper single lane roads to get there. But the spectacular views because you're up on a hill are well worth it! The use of the garden area is great and there's a BBQ which we didn't use due to the weather. The fact you're up on a hill means it's quite winRead moredy even when the sun is shining. Didn't stop us sitting out on the sun loungers though! The house is split with the owners using the back of the house. The 3 bedrooms are very well sized, each of them en-suite and one is a shower over the bath. All are rainfall showers which is fantastic. There's shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in all the bathrooms, as well as hand wash on all the sinks. As is to be expected with an old building, the floors are uneven and there are plenty of spiders in the corners of the high ceilings, but this didn't bother us. The staircase is very majestic! The polished floors mean that walking around in slippers or bare feet is best because anyone with mobility issues will likely slip. My partner has mobility issues and the bathrooms are quite a trek from the front room so the lack of a ground floor toilet was a very slight negative. The living area is again, beautifully decorated. The kitchen has plenty of utensils and baking trays etc should you wish to cook a big meal. We found the dishwasher didn't clean the pots too well so ended up hand washing pots most days. The sofas are fairly comfortable but we did find a fair few crumbs and bits in the folds of leather between the seats. The WiFi didn't work, but we didn't mention it as an issue because it meant the kids were forced to engage with us! And I must admit that the welcome bottles of wine was probably the highlight of my visit! The hot tub was wonderful. It is situated in front of one of the owners windows, but their curtains were always closed so this wasn't an issue. Plus, there are towels and robes provided to use. The view whilst sitting in the tub was just spectacular! There are a bunch of leaflets and recommendations from the owner about places to visit. We had some wonderful days out in surrounding towns, despite our sat nav wanting to continually avoid the main roads and take us down dirt tracks! Would recommend. Hide
