Swallows Rest Reviews

Loved our stay , we were working locally and found our stay to be fantastic
Sophie
Swallows Rest is a beautiful holiday home, the interior is cosy, yet modern with everything you need. The hot tub was wonderful, with great views of the countryside. We stayed with 3 children and a dog, there was plenty of space for all of us. It was a very comfortable and luxurious stay. There are lots of activities nearby, the kid's favourite was 'The Edge Adventure Activities' in Much Wenlock. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing holiday.

We had a fantastic week staying at Swallows Rest. Thank you
We had a wonderful break at Swallows Rest! We wanted to have a switched off week and it was perfect. The house is beautiful with comfy beds, comfy sofas, little nooks for reading and had everything we needed to make it an enjoyable and relaxing break. The kitchen is well equipped, so we could create some lovely home cooked meals. The whole house was spotless! The hot tub was brilliant and was maintained everyday. Jayne and family were very great hosts and the welcome basket was a lovely extra touch too! We will definitely be back!
Christine
Beautiful property. Suited us perfectly. Loved the hot tub. Welcome hamper and fresh flowers was a lovely touch
Amazing accommodation which was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was lovely. Set in a very friendly village. Met lots of lovely people during our dog walks. Met Jane the owner and her lovely daughter who couldnt of been more welcoming. Beds extremely comfortable. Hot tub was lovely and we will definitely be returning soon.
We loved to stay at the property. It had all we needed for a few days away from the work stress. We felt in a mini hotel with towels and all the others items being provided to us. It really felt good. We would recommend that a barbecue is provided as it is very useful for those who want to enjoy the weather outside or just to have a meal outside with their families. We loved to meet the owner, she is an adorable lady which made sure we were having an amazing time. Hopefully we will meet in the future again as we plan to come back. Meriacre Family
Lovely, comfortable, warm, cottage, with a fabulous hottub.

We had a lovely stay over the half term break in February 2022. Fabulous accommodation that has been recently refurbished so very fresh feeling. Clean and spacious throughout and designed well with aged wooden beams used to divide downstairs rooms but allowing an open plan feel for families and groups. We had everything we needed for our stay and the washing machine and dryer certainly came in handy when we returned from being caught in the rain. The Wifi worked brilliantly which is always important for our sanity when going on holiday with 2 teenagers. The hot tub was perfect and we spent many an evening under the stars sat in it relaxing. Parking was right next to the cottage. Beds were comfy. Bathrooms spacious. Very cosy inside. It was perfect. The hostsproperty owners live locally and introduced themselves. They are very friendly and were on hand to make sure you have a lovely stay and kindly gave me information on local walks and areas of interest. A welcome basket was left for us on arrival full of local goodies but the welsh cakes were the best i've ever tasted and i've tasted a lot. We will definitely book Swallows Rest again in the future.
Highly recommend swallows rest we had a lovely time. The property was beautifully decorated. The welcome basket was so thoughtful. The owner was very helpful and easy to contact. We had a lovely time in the hot tub and went out to a local restaurant in the village for dinner which was superb!

Family of 5 21, 20 & 16yr old plus pooch stayed 22102910. Lovely barn conversion decorated to a high standard. Welcomed with a thoughtful basket of goodies including treats for the dog The most divine bath robes useful for getting out of the hot tub. Toiletries, tea, coffee & cleaning products provided. The view of the night sky whilst in the hot tub is fantastic. Owner Jayne is on hand and was there everyday tending to the hot tub with a cup of tea in hand
Andrea
The cottage is in a lovely quiet setting, with views of rolling hills and great parking facilities. We regularly saw the owner who was extremely friendly and helpful. As a newly marketed property there were a couple of issues which we fed back to the owner, and, where possible, these were sorted straightaway, and other issues, if not already in hand, were taken on board. The cottage was immaculate, and on arrival we were greeted with a welcome basket containing wine, home made scones, butter, milk, eggs, fruit juice and bread thank you Jayne. On booking the cottage a hot tub was not a requirement but it actually made our holiday and was used everyday. We liked that it was located in the side garden, so lots of privacy. Disappointing that the pub in the village is no longer open, especially as it was walking distance. You definitely need a car to enjoy this property but there are walks and bike rides that start close by. We also had days out to Fforest zip line world in Betws y Coed, a trip to the beach as Aberystwyth, and kayaking in Shrewsbury, so plenty of choice to fill your days. Great relaxing week had by all.
We were the first ever family to stay at Swallow's Rest, and we felt privileged to test out the facilities. The rooms were very comfortable, we loved the decor and quirky design features. The hot tub was lovely and secluded, we had a wonderful view from it! We loved that we could bring our dog along and he was very much welcomed. The garden was secure enough for him to wander without us worrying he might escape although I would always recommend keeping an eye on your pet when they are outside. The outdoor sofa was a great place to relax and was a bit of a sun trap at some times of the day! We were provided with plenty of toiletries, tea and coffee, and cleaning products, plus a welcome basket with milk, butter, eggs, bread, and wine, which was a nice touch and much appreciated on our first night. We hope we will be back again!
