Stallington Hall Farm Reviews

Virginia
It is a gorgeous place, beautiful and peaceful location, extremely cosy and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. We also loved the secure gated garden for our dogs. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and luxurious, as is the kitchen and the sitting room very cosy with a lovely open fire. Our friends very much enjoyed the hot tub, too. An upstairs bathroom and slightly firmer mattresses in the twin room would make it perfect.
Tim and Rosie were on hand for any questions, they were both so welcoming and friendly. The property was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. We all had a wonderful time and were overwhelmed with the property, it is beautiful and so comfortable and cosy, we will be back again! Thank you Tim and Rosey for making us all feel so welcome you were the perfect hosts with the perfect property xxx
Robert
Comfortable warm cosy, well equipped with all you will need. Friendly owners on site but respectful of your privacy. Good & relaxing breakthank you.
Matthew
Lovely cottage in a very nice part of the county. Long walk to local pubs but an easy drive. Hot tub was great. Definitely recommend.
Wonderful location and such friendly people,a truly tucked away peaceful home ... Wonderful location and such friendly people,a truly tucked away peaceful home yet anything you could ever want within 10 mins drive, perfect

What a fabulous place to stay, so peaceful and everything you could need! Such a friendly welcome too! Cant recommend enough.
Desiree
Had a lovely stay. The owners, who live next door, were helpful and welcoming. A super country location whilst being surprisingly close to all amenities. My 7 year old wants to live here.
Helena
A lovely and informative welcome from Rosie, Get well soon Tim! And so the Fab week began. The cottage was absolutely lovely, from the roaring fire to the well equipped kitchen to the bed and beyond into the hot tub a big family favourite. Great surroundings, and not far to drive anywhere for good dog walker and supplier of the food and liquid variety Thank you again, The Poutney's
There are several things that we think could be improved, not only with the property but also the lack of care from the owners. We were here when the temperature was below freezing all week. The path to the front door was old, well worn and shiny brick. It was covered in ice all week and not once was saltgrit put onto it. The bathroom is large and there was only one working radiator to warm it, which it only just did. The towel rail didn't work at all. The kitchen had dust and cobwebs in a few areas. We appreciate that the property is grade 2 listed but some of the windows are in need of replacing as they did let a lot of draughts through. When you pay a 100 supplement to use the hot tub it is not very fair for the owner to complain that the water temperature had been increased or for a restriction to be put on certain functions of the tub. If the owners are concerned about their electricity bills perhaps they shouldn't be allowing usage during winter months. Clearer instruction should also be given regarding recycling waste bins, e.g. when they should be put out rather than the owner walking through to the kitchen just before patrons are about to eat and female guests are in nightwear. A welcome pack should also be considered for guests, including milk and small loaf of bread perhaps, to make people feel welcomed. Maybe even some locally produced goods such as cakes, scones, jams etc could be left to promote the area. There are a number of cables and wires that should be tidied up and made safe behind the TV as they are currently a trip hazard. The hot tap in the upstairs toilet needs fixing as it does not turn on. And the toilet seat was loose. The cottage itself is nice enough, but more care and attention needs to be taken regarding all of the above. Unfortunately, we couldn't and wouldn't recommend the property.
Lovely birthday week fantastic hot tub, well equipped cottage. Family time spent walking and chilling which is just what we needed, Thank you Tim and Rosie
We had a great stay over new year. The property was well equipped, clean and the hosts were welcoming and helpful. We would definitely return. Thank you.
Booked the farmhouse for the week so we could celebrate our eldest 40th birthday Big thank you to Rosie and Tim for supplying the banners! Hired the hot tub which was fab and came with the intention of chilling out and relaxing, which is just what we needed. The farmhouse is a credit to you Tim and I know the effort you went to, so as to complete it to such a high standard along with all the little extras that I'm sure Rosie created along the way! We had a lovely time and would highly recommend your farmhouse to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing stay. Although storm Pia was exiting!
The hosts were so helpful and friendly. The cottage was quaint and lovely to stay in. We had a fantastic week and did lots of walking with the dogs. Its an ideal location for so many places and would definitely stay again if in the area.
Andrea
Had a fantastic time, beautiful place to stay with great hosts. The cottage was very well equipped a comfortable home from home. The hosts were very welcoming and always happy to help with anything. Would strongly recommend a stay here.
Lovely cottage in a lovely area, great garden for the dogs plus plenty places for good walks. Rosie and Tim are great couple made to feel very welcome and would do anything to help we really couldnt fault the place great time had by all and dogs loved it.
Very nice cottage, very clean and welcoming, good enclosed garden for the dog, secure off road parking which is always a plus, everything you need in the kitchen and lounge, friendly and helpful hosts in Tim and Rosie. The only negative comment is in relation to the beds. The bed frames are quite flimsy and creak when you move. The mattresses on the 2 double beds are very soft and saggy ... they definitely need replacing. Just a small suggestion ... a small 'welcome basket or box' of tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits for both humans and dogs with a small drop of milk in the fridge would be a nice touch on arrival to refresh after a long journey. I have always found this a nice gesture in other cottages we have stayed at. To be fair, there were canisters on the kitchen windowsill which may have had items in them, but as we brought our own, I didn't check. Despite the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stayed and would certainly recommend this cottage to dog owners.
Found stallington hall farm very nice very relaxing you get what is on the tin . tim and rosie are very helpful and very friendly . genuine lovely people.
Had a lovely sunny week at cottage. Cottage well sited for potteries and steam trains. Slept 6 adults and 3 dogs comfortably. Tim and Rosie were lovely hosts and very helpful. Stairs were a bit of a challenge for able bodied 83 year old and 6'4 son in law but we managed! Nearest rapid EV chargers at Windmill pub and Lidl Longton.
Alison
Lovely, cosy cottage with super kitchen diner and everything necessary for a home away from home. The hosts were on site but not at all intrusive. The cottage was charming if a little quirky we loved it.
Michael
Fantastic break, the perfect hosts as they were there when we needed them, but didnt interfere with the stay at all. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a weekend away with friends or family.
Amanda
The cottage is beautiful. Very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Hot tub was amazing. The dogs lived it too. Rosie and Tim are wonderful hosts. They are welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful week. We will return.
Lovely cottage, lovely hosts on hand close by and lovely area. We definitely recommend a stay here.
Lovely welcome from the owner on our arrival. A quick run through of things to know and we were left to enjoy our holiday knowing that they were available if we had any questions. Hot tub was lovely, nice and clear and a great temperature. Lovely property and would recommend. Its worth mentioning that the stairs are steep but this was a minor detail for us. Thanks to the owners for sharing their property
Anthony
Kitchen was well furnished and well layed out. The internet was a little slow but I guess thats par for the course for the area. The field next door for the dogs was a great plus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cottage was absolutely perfect with everything you could need for a selfservice holiday included. The owners were very friendly and always willing to help but were also happy to leave us to ourselves. The hot tub area was kept scrupulously clean and the water checked daily to ensure it was clean and hygienic. The only minor thing we wanted to mention was that it might be worth investing in some nonstick saucepans, as the ones available in the cottage caused the food to keep sticking. Overall it was the best holiday cottage weve ever stayed in and we would certainly be happy to stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone who wanted a relaxing, yet active, holiday. Thank you to Rosie and Tim for a wonderful week.
Fabulous accommodation everything you need is there, beautiful area, comfortable beds, would recommend to anyone.
Shirley
We havent stayed in a better holiday home. Everything about the cottage is amazing, the quality of furniture, kitchen equipment, towels and bedding! It was fabulous and so much for the children to do. I would have no hesitation in going back there. The owners were amazing too, couldnt be more helpful and friendly. Thank you
The most picturesque and comfortable cottage we have stayed at. Hosts we very amenable and helpful. The dogs loved their stay great walks we will be back.
We had a lovely relaxing stay at the cottage, the hot tub was a fantastic addition, our boys loved the xbox! The cottage is very well maintained, lovely and warm and the owners Rosie and Tim are always on hand with local knowledge and helpful tips for a really enjoyable stay, we will definitely be rebooking! Highly recommend a stay at Stallington Hall Farm!
This was a lovely venue and Rosie was easy to communicate with, friendly and welcoming. We'll certainly be keen to return! Especially to the wonderful hot tub!
Can't fault it! Hosts welcoming and accomodating. The house is beautifully renovated, has all modern facilities but retains its character beams, open fire, etc. Being an older property we expected a draft or two but it is cosy and toasty warm without the need of the open fire! The kitchen was very well equipped, the shower amazing and plenty of books, games, etc. to help while away the evenings. Our dog was very much welcomed which was appreciated. We have no reservations in recommending this cottage.
Rebecca
We had the most wonderful time and we cannot wait to come back again hopefully this summer
We were incredibly surprised by how nice, comfy, clean and well equipped the cottage was. The owners were also incredibly welcoming and were on hand to provide anything we needed whilst never being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Elizabeth
Lovely holiday let, great owners and great location.
Owners on hand when needed, but not intrusive. The house is lovely and well suited to times when the weather is inclement, as well as a contained garden, bbq and hot tub when the weather is good. Local amenities are good, with good places to eat if you dont want to make use of the well appointed kitchen. The visitor book is informative of some local beauty spotwalks, and if you have a dog then dont worry as even these are well provided for. We will definitely return,
Darrell
The cottage was beautiful lovely and clean everything anyone could ask for. Tim and Rosie were the perfect hosts and made us feel like we had known them for years. I definitely will be booking again it was a fantastic 2 weeks.
We had a great time staying at Staninghall farm. Great cottage, owners couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, and a great place for the dogs.
The host's are a lovely couple who could not do enough for you, the cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. We will definitely be returning in the future
Suzanne
Lovely quiet area . Very clean & comfortable cottage, with little extras like xbox, Netflix, tea & coffee, soap etc. Very friendly & helpful owners. Couldn't fault it. Had a lovely chilled few days. Thankyou
