Crag View Reviews

Sharon
We had a lovely stay last week, cottage and facilities excellent, thank you for the welcome box too.
Claire
We really enjoyed our stay at Crag view. It was so nice to not have to worry that our dog wasn't safe in the garden when we we're sat in the hot tub and the bed was so comfy
Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need. Comfortable, cosy and very quiet . Beautiful area and easy access to Northumberland and Scotland .
Heather
Crag View was very comfortable and warm. A really good base for exploring the area including Hadrian's Wall and up to Scotland too. Jedburgh is well worth visiting! We so enjoyed exploring so we didn't use the hot tub, but it seems to be very popular with guests.
Fantastic hideaway for peace quiet and tranquility. Location, is ideal for exploring hidden areas or those areas that are usually that too far, for example, Falkirk wheel is an easy drive to get to.
Nicola
The property is lovely and comfortable, accommodation was spacious and clean. Really liked the welcome pack, which we enjoyed thank you.Prosecco went down well as did the hot tub! The only thing which would have made this for us as two women, would have been a dressing table with mirror we could sit at near a plug socket. We could not really adapt anything for this purpose and made drying hair difficult. We used the property as a base from which we were able to explore different areas of Northumberland, then home to relax in the hot tub. Perfect !
What a fantasticly cosy cottage, everything had been thought of and provided including a lovely welcome pack and milk in the fridge. The location was fantastic for the NP and Keilder.
Heather
This is a fabulous cottage in a great location. We have stayed in Northumberland several times and to date this is my favourite place. A clean and spacious cottage, a modern kitchen, massive comfortable sofas and beds..... basically everything you need. Although on a main road, it did not disturb and we used the back gate entrance rather than the front for safety for our curious dogs. The garden was well maintained and plenty of space and seating. The hot tub was just a bonus for our family. This too was maintained every day and emptied, cleaned and refilled after our weeks holiday. Owners who lived nearby were friendly and we knew they were there if we needed anything. Just a lovely holiday in a beautiful area. This is a cottage I would go back to....and I dont always feel that way.
Lovely property stay Exceptionally clean The welcome hamper was a lovely ... Lovely property stay Exceptionally clean The welcome hamper was a lovely touch Hot tub amazing Log burner great on a chilly night Garden Area fab for the dogs Nice area for dog walks Pub down road with friendly staff but a tad overpriced for meals
Beautiful garden, lovely cottage, great facilities including the fabulous hot tub! Ideal location for exploring Northumberland.
We enjoyed our stay at Crag View especially as we had some good weather so that we could use the hot tub, which was nice and clean. We found the cottage was a little tired and could do with a womans touch. Its very masculine. It was, though, comfortable and thats the important thing. The garden is good and secure for dogs. We also liked the off road parking. There is no where to dry hair, which is difficult. A great centre to discover the areas treasures.
Lovely property. Very cosy and clean. Great hot tub after being out exploring all the beautiful coastline surrounding it. Shop and pub near We had a great holiday. The garden is enclosed but the road that the cottage sits on is really busy all day and night with lorries passing. Lovely place to stay would recommend
Jacqueline
This is an amazing property located in a great area. I love coming here to relax. we have booked again for Christmas.
Claire
Lovely stay in this well maintained cottage, beautiful surprise welcome basket. Cottage really clean and contained everything we needed for our stay. Owners really helpful. Surrounding scenery beautiful and local pub does lovely food and very welcoming. Lots to do in the area but definitely need a car .
Natasha
Absolutely loved our stay at crag view as did our two Labradors. Perfect for exploring the beautiful scenery, we managed trips to hareshaw linn waterfall, warkworth beach, kielder water, simonside and Hadrians wall. The local pub was perfect. The cottage itself was cosy, comfy beds, safe garden for the dogs while we relaxed in the hot tub and a nice big fridgefreezer to stock up. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise too. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic cottage, exceptionally clean and spacious. Welcome pack as good as any weve ever had and the hot tub was a massive hit. Great pub and walks on the doorstep. Would highly recommend.
Natalie
Crag view is a lovely house and as appears on the booking. Great location for sight seeing lots of things around to do. Pub and shop within walking distance. Only a small shop so you would need to get things in elsewhere. Pub served fantastic food. Lots of walks great for dogs around too. House was clean, really warm and comfortable. Hot tub was great enjoyed watching the stars in it. Only down side could do with more cleaning products being available otherwise fantastic stay.
Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location , it so exceeded our expectations , the hot tub was an excellent addition and the kids loved it . Northumberland is a fantastic place and will will definitely be back
We had a very restful weekend at this lovely cottage. It is wellequipped, very warm and we made good use of the hot tub. The enclosed rear garden was great for our dog too. We enjoyed a Sunday lunch at the nearby Bay Horse pub, and the post office is very handy for supplies. A lovely visit that we hope to repeat next year sometime.
A delightful cottage with a secure garden and a fab hot tub. It's so well situated for visiting places. The wood burner was great when it was chilly. A curtain across the front door would add to that cosy feeling. We used the rear door and kept the front door locked as the road is quite fast, but really quiet in the evening. The A68 is a great road to drive. Lots of walks directly from the cottage, starting just behind the pub.
Heather
Lovely presented cottage, the welcome pack was fabulous. Great communication with the owner prior. The hot tub was a hit, the village pub is a gem. Fab cottage. Just to note for future guests items such as washing up liquid etc are not provided, this wasnt a problem. Fab walks in local area. Would definitely recommend.
Rachel
Be aware the cottage is on a busy A road, so kids and dogs need to be supervised when you open the front door. However, road noise is not a big issue. The local pub is excellent and offers a discount to those staying at Crag View. The owners provided a very generous welcome pack, although we would have happily swapped a tube of Pringles for an extra toilet roll!
Gillian
Cottage was very comfortable and clean. There are some welcome additions, such as the hot tub and I loved having the slow cooker, so you could come home to a prepared meal. The sun room overlooking the garden was lovely. There is a pub within walking distance and the post officeshop, a few doors away was useful if you suddenly ran out of something and didn't want to travel to the nearest small town. Stunning walks on the doorstep. A few additions would make this 5 star, providing robes for the hot tub, providing cleaning products, which most people replace as they use them up, and a few extras in the kitchen, such as toast rack, measuring jug, butter dish and plastic storage tubs. We enjoyed our stay and are certain anyone else would too.
Lovely cottage and garden. We were not aware that the busy road was so close to the cottage. So we expected a more quiet place.
Rachel
Fantastic, comfortable well appointed cottage in such a beautiful area. The hot tub and garden was a real bonus. A real home from home to come back to each day. Thank you!
Andrew
Beautifully maintained cottage with a lovely enclosed rear garden perfect if you have a dog. Ideally located within a short walk of a great pub serving good food every evening with very welcoming staff. Hosts provided a very generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated. Bed extremely comfortable and we were not disturbed by any traffic noise. Lounge area had plenty of seating and as the accommodation was on one level we had no concern about our dog trying to go upstairs.
This was a return visit to this lovely cottage in this lovely area, we can't fault it. This time we met the owner who is friendly and helpful.
Charlotte
Had a lovely get away from civilisation. Very comfy and relaxing holiday thank you.
A real home from home cottage, we shall return. Highly recommended.
We had the most wonderful stay at Crag View for our mini moon. The cottage itself is finished to a really high standard, and the hot tub and garden is gorgeous. The area is super cute, and is a really fantastic location to explore Northumberland. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. We loved it
Ashley
Exactly as advertised, very clean and all the amenities you could need. Hot tub a big hit with the family!
Perfect cottage for a peaceful retreat and base for exploring beautiful countryside. Cottage beautiful and homely, couldn't have been made better. Welcome pack left by owners was very generous and filled with luxury foodstuffs. Thank you
Lovely cosy cottage in a quiet location. Nice walks, great little local pub and plenty places to visit nearby. Will definitely return and would highly recommend
The welcome pack was great but it would have been helpful if some basic cleaning items like a couple of dishwasher tablets and some washing up liquid had also been left.
Meredith
We had a lovely stay at Crag View and will definitely be returning we rarely visit the same place twice so that says it all! The cottage was clean, well equipped and the furniture is so comfortable. Even struggled to get out of bed some mornings to explore the beautiful Northumberland, it was that cosy. Hot tub was so relaxing after long days out and well maintained by Paul who popped by every morning to check the water quality. The pub down the road, literally a 2 minute walk, is great. Very friendly, including dog friendly, and the food really good. Loved every minute of our stay and will be booking again in the near future. Thank you!
Lovely welcome pack , Very clean and comfortable Loved the Hot Tub
Andrew
The welcome pack was very much appreciated as the nearest supermarket would be in Hexham, nothing really local. The living area was clean and tidy and slightly unusual in layout with the toilet bathroom being furthest away from the bedrooms. The outside paved area was uneven and slightly slippery path from the conservatory to the decked area due to moss and residue from the trees. The main concern outside was the uneven pathway due to what looked like tree roots raising the paving slabs.
Cheryl
Really enjoyed our stay in an immaculately clean and welcoming cottage which was well equipped and very comfortable. The welcome pack was one of the best we have experienced and I must say the information pack left with where to go and what to do was great. The hot tub was maintained daily, but we were not disturbed at all by the owners. Overall everything was very good and I would recommend this cottage as a restful retreat within easy reach of all the lovely areas of Northumberland.
The cottage was perfectly positioned to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Northumberland. It was a very comfortable and we relaxed from day 1. Hot Tub was great after a good walk & the garden was a perfect sun trap as we had a very hot sunny week. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning
