The Stables at Airy Hill Manor Reviews

Luke
Great property and tastefully done. Quick walk into the town and we'll be staying again
Angela
Property was great for 6 adults although I think it would have been difficult to sit 8 people comfortably in the lounge. Very generous welcome pack! The bedrooms and bathrooms were very luxurious. Ideal location to explore Whitby and surrounding areas. Very enjoyable holiday and would recommend to friends and family.
Fiona
Very tastefully renovated house with good quality fixtures and fittings and comfortable beds. Well located just a 10min walk into the town centre. An outside seating area with table and chairs was all that we felt was lacking.
Janine
Perfect in every way, there was 6 adults and 2 children for our stay and there was plenty of room. The stables were everything we expected and more ! Immaculate and so many little lovely little lovely touches to make your stay so relaxing. Would book again and recommend to everyone.
Lorna
A lovely cottage, great for a group of friends.
Rachel
An amazing cottage in an ideal location, only 10 minute walk into Whitby harbour. The cottage was immaculately clean, tidy, with modern decor, and gorgeous fixtures and fittings. The games and books were a bonus on the rainy days. The hot tub room was well worth the additional cost, we all loved it and will be back!
Margaret
Beautiful holiday home. Incredibly clean with very comfortable beds. The bathrooms were all very well appointed. The lovely hamper went down a storm with lots of treats for everyone.
Lisa
An immaculate property with an amazing tiki bar complete with a huge hot tub which we all loved. Close to all amenities. A bit closer to the main road than expected but not too noisy. Could do with a few fans being available. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.
Elizabeth
The property was beautifully decorated and clean. It provided a perfect location from which to explore Whitby.
Lorraine
Superb property. Excellent location and only 10 mins walk into town. The property is exactly as it looks on the photos, well stocked, clean and perfect place for a weekend break. Plenty of towels and gowns and the hot tub is amazing. Gorgeous welcome pack was a lovely touch too. Highly recommended place to stay and will definitely book again.
Beryl
Property in a good location. Shops nearby which was handy. Hot tub was very good. Directions to the property were helpful. Whitby is a good location for exploring the North Yorkshire coast and the North Yorkshire moors.
Emma
Lovely cottage for our first family cottage. Suited everyone and all our needs. Really enjoyed the hot tub too.
Alan
The main issues for our party were:- excessive road noise and no enclosed sitting out area. We did sit out but the road noise spoilt it
Simon
Excellent property, location and facilities. It was finished to a very high standard. The only recommendations I would make would be a couple of deep sided large pans for 1 pot cooking and better ventilation in the room with the hot tub. Apart from those small observations everything else was excellent .
Samantha
Thankyou very much. We had a lovely stay- however, on arrival we noticed there was only 7 of most things, bath robes, towels in the hot tub room & mugs etc...and just to mention: we had a washing machine full of dirty towels when we arrived too. The hot tub had been overfilled, which made it difficult as when 2 ( only) of our party got in -the hotRead more tub overflowed. Which meant we were reluctant to use it as we had to spend almost an hour cleaning & mopping up! So in hindsight, we would have not bothered with the hot tub. The house is wonderful and fulfilled all our expectations . Just thought it best to mention as constructive criticism. Thankyou. Kind Regards, Sam Ellis . Hide

We have had an amazing time. This property was great for all of the family. Since returning yesterday I have already been asked for the details by two of my friends who regularly visit Whitby and loved the photos that I have shared with them.
Mark
The cottage was exactly as described, the furniture, equipment and general state of the property was exceptional, and the cleanliness was perfect.
Vanessa
I contacted you on the first night regarding the incorrect make up of beds. After a couple of phone calls this matter was not resolved and no one turned up to the property to sort this despite being told this would happen. Pictures of the hot tub/outside area where a bit misleading - not option to open the doors outside as soon in the pictures. IRead more also asked for recommendations of local places to visit/eat etc before our trip so we could plan/book places but heard nothing. Some crockery had to be washed before using and a pair of socks not belonging to us were found under one of the beds. Hide

This property had everything you could wish for.. The exterior and interior was magnificent. The fantastic response received to our request for a childs high chair and stair safety gate whilst we were there was first class. The location was perfect.
Michelle
This cottage is outstanding. Really appreciate the hamper that was left for our arrival. The hot tub was the biggest we have had and easily accommodated or party of 7. We cant wait to come back.
Jane
Booked a last minute weekend break in Whitby, the property was beautiful and you could not fault the attention to detail, the owners had thought of everything. The process of booking was straightforward with helpful updates prior to arrival, great experience all round.

The Grainary Wildlife Farm - YO25 3HS
about 10 Miles
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 15 Miles
If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost £46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.
Sea Life Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP
about 15 Miles
Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.
Peasholm Park - YO12 6QQ
about 15 Miles
This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery.  You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water.  The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see".  You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
Betton Farm Visitor Centre - TF9 3PS
about 17 Miles
Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially.  A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.  Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy.
Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW
about 20 Miles
Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Castle Howard - YO60 7DA
about 27 Miles
Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
