High Longlands Reviews

The holiday was well need and very welcoming. the site is easy to get to, and is a very warm and welcoming place. It was lovely and quite, and the hot tub was very relaxing when you could spend the evening star gazing. would more than happily go back
Hannah
We absolutely loved our weekend at High Longlands. We could completely relax and had a great time just chilling with a fire and lovely food. Cartmel nearby is a beautiful village and we did some a lovely hike up the hill behind the pods too.
Tracey
We have stayed at High Longlands several times and it never disappoints. The views from the pod are beautiful and the whole atmosphere is so calm. Absolutely love it here. Louise as always was helpful and friendly. Already looking forward to our next stay. Tracey & Martin

Beautiful lodge , over looking beautiful scenery. In very close proximity to the village centre and lots of things to do nearby ! Would highly recommend x
Samantha
The place was amazing, there was just a few tweaks that were missing. No where to hand a few clothes, maybe instead of the heart decoration a couple of clothes pegs would have been helpful. No long mirror, with such nice restaurants it would be nice to see what you look like before you go, maybe one on the front of the bathroom door? The only other thing was a bit of mould in the shower needs scrubbing and treating. Otherwise an amazing place to stay and highly recommend the accommodation to anyone!
Absolutely gorgeous lodge, lovely location, so peaceful, especially the view while sat relaxing in the hot tub. We could've quite easily spent all week in there but there is plenty to do a short drive away. The lodge is well furnished including the kitchenette meaning we could cook meals a few nights rather than having to eat out every night. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be returning. The only thing I would change is possibly some thicker blindscurtains as with the lodge being southfacing, from 4am the sun makes it quite bright in there.
We very much enjoyed our stay at High Longlands. A lovely location, very peaceful and with great views and perfect for relaxing in the hot tub. There was everything we needed for our stay and we would recommend this accommodation. Cartmel is close by with some great places to eat and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area.

What an amazing little find! We couldn't have asked for more, from the stunning views and surroundings, cute and cosy property, fab location, and all round great place to stay. The property had everything we needed. We were caught out on one day by bad weather and enjoyed a full day relaxing in High Longlands. I wish it had been a bit colder so we could have made use of the fire. Everything within the property is well taken care of and maintained and shows from when you arrive and throughout the stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and easy to reach if we needed anything. I couldn't recommend enough. We didn't want to leave and most certainly will be back. We hope to make this our regular stay when we can get back to the Lakes. Thank You for making our first holiday away together the best it could have been.
Andrew
The luxury retreat was certainly that and in such a beautiful location
We had a lovely weekend stay, great hosts and a lovely place to stay. Nice and quiet with a great view.
Natalie
Absolutely fantastic accommodation in the heart of the Lake District, in a quaint little village only approximately a 2025 minute drive from Lake Windermere. Waking up to the most beautiful view on a morning and even having that same beautiful view whilst relaxing in the hot tub was utter bliss, and so peaceful and quiet too. Louise and her gorgeous Labrador Roxy was so welcoming when we arrived and always on hand if needed. Louise also gave us some of her personal favourite recommendations for eateries within the village and local area, but there were also facilities within the lodge for if we wanted to cook for ourselves. We will definitely return! Thank you once again.
We had an amazing stay the pod was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful we will be definitely going back.
Joanne
We loved the lodge! Perfect break to relax. Louise was lovely & very welcoming. Thank you very much!
Perfect for a quiet break peaceful location with really lovely towns and facilities within short distance. Pod was finished to a high standard, clean and had everything we needed. Hosts were the perfect approach as we knew they were there if we needed them, but not a constant presence. Would recommend to my friends and family and if in the area again would not hesitate to rebook.
This was my second visit and hopefully not my last. If anything it was better than the first.Perfect accommodation and a beautiful location and ideal way to spend a weekend.Hot tub was a perfect way to relax and watch the world go by and observe the sky and stars, totally relaxing. The pod provided everything necessary, the bed was excellent and everything was as described.A superb weekend!
The lodges are superb. Very clean, very cosy, and extremely well equipped, with high end appliances and fittings. Louise is lovely and very helpful. Theres nothing that Id change. Thanks so much
We had a lovely relaxing stay in High Longlands, the hot tub was preheated on arrival and there was lots of little treats, milk in the fridge, a pudding and tea and coffee supplies little bottle of bubbly which are nice touches and the cabin really had everything you need for your stay. Spotlessly clean and Lucie was really helpful in sorting us out for charging our electric car which was an added bonus to have on sight. We will definitely be recommending to friends and look forward to coming back in the future.
We have just had a fantastic stay in high longlands. The views from the pod are amazing and it has to be one of the best we've stayed in. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break away.
An Amazing stay. What a wonderful time spent at High Longlands. There was everything we needed and more. Property was exceptionally clean and spacious. Louise was on hand if we needed anything.. The Views from the Hot Tub were beautiful. Loads to see and do nearby. Cartmel has some lovely pubs and restaurants. We will definitely be back. Thank you. Xx
A real home from home. Very well furnished and very high quality. Idyllic location and away from all the day to day hustle and bustle. Louise was extremely helpful and had great local knowledge so was a useful resource for planning trips out. Made us feel very welcome to the point we were quite sad to have to leave. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a few days and relax in the peace and quiet.
An amazing property quiet tucked away and secluded, the staff were friendly and offered advice on the local area. We were left alone to enjoy the cabin but were still aware help and advice were nearby if needed. All in all a great break exactly what we wanted.
Sharon
Excellent location, owners are really helpful and friendly. Amazing uninterrupted views making it an ideal place to relax. Definitely going to return.
Andrew
Absolutely gorgeous location, stunning views of the fields and hills, a clean comfortable pod with great amenities and a hot tub. We loved it! Louise was great too and when we needed anything firewood she replied very quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Stayed at High Longlands for a long weekend with my partner in June 2023. Absolutely amazing weekend that couldnt be faulted. Arrived an hour earlier than our check in time which wasnt an issue, just had to wait 10 minutes until the pod was ready. High Longlands was really clean with fresh towels, bedding and robes waiting for us. The kitchen was well equipped and had tea, coffee and sugar, alongside biscuits and sticky toffee pudding which by the way was to die for!. The fridge was also stocked up with milk, a beer and a mini Prosecco lovely welcoming touches. We were also given wood for the log burner, which we unfortunately didnt use as it was too hot but would be super cosy in the winter. The hot tub was such a treat for us we went in almost every night! and made use of the bbq. The view from the decking was gorgeous, with sheep bleating away in the field next to us. Louise made us both feel welcome and was always willing to help or answer queries when she could. She even went the extra mile when I left my jackets behind, only realising when I got home. She found them and posted them back to us straight away. Would highly recommend High Longlands for a romantic and cosy getaway to the lakes.
What an incredible find, felt very private, only four cabins on the site, the cabin itself was very beautifully decorated, extremely clean, everything you need being away from home. The cabin felt luxurious and tasteful, the bed was extremely comfortable. Even though it was small in size it still felt spacious in the layout. Although we went in June whilst the weather was glorious it would also be perfect in winter as there was a log burning stove too. I was looking for a quiet secluded romantic weekend away and this hit the mark completely. The hot tub was lovely and private too and was such an amazing idea to have it sunk into the decking of the cabin so you had complete privacy without having to walk too and from a hot tub in towels. The views were incredible! The location was breathtaking. The local village was a short walk away and very welcoming with the most amazing food. Perfect peaceful getaway to rest and recharge. The owners of the properly were so friendly and accommodating. They should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved in this little piece of heaven, we will definitely be returning.
Jessica Leah
It was the perfect way to have a little getaway straight after our wedding! The loveliest little place perfect for minimooners like us & couples! Very peaceful & relaxing, so much so we spent our first day basking in the sunshine & in the hot tub! Extremely close to beautiful towns & plenty of walks too. Thank you so much
Tracey
Wonderful, such a great stay from start to finish. Accommodation and location WOW. Louise and family were very welcoming nothing was to much trouble. Wish we could have stayed longer. Cartmel was lovely and already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for everything Tracey & Martin
Victoria
Had a wonderful stay just what was needed! A wonderful warm welcome from Louise, with a lovely welcome pack in the fridge. Just perfect location for taking you off the grid and away from busy life. We will be back.
We had a very relaxing time at High Longhand's. The owners were very informative and during our stay provided suggestions of places to visit. The local village of Cartmel 15 min walk is great for watching the world go by and also has some great restaurants for lunch and fine dining. Would definitely recommend to anyone that wants a getaway with fantastic views.
Serena

We will definitely be booking into the farm again, the pod its self was stunning, eveything you need wss provided, with a gorgeous view to wake up to every morning.
Clean & well presented property, everything we needed was provided including milk a bottle of wine & a can of lager in the fridge, tea & coffee provided as well, lovely outlook from the property over the fields & hills, would definitely recommend.
