Great few days away. Waking up to the ducks and swans was lovely. Boat house is small and compact but it had everything we needed for the few days we were there. It was very clean. the location was great. Very peaceful. The prosecco and biscuits were a nice surprise on arrival. Made use of the hot tub which does take about 3 hours to warm up.

What a fabulous place to stay. Boathouse has everything you need for a great stay. You are always welcomed by ducks, swans and other birds. Welcome pack was a lovely touch, as was the phone call telling us to expect email couple of days before going. 5 minutes in,and we we looking for a slot to book again. The Angel Inn is a short walk to the villaRead morege and serves really good meals. Richmond is a couple of miles away with all shops required and plenty places to eat. Highly recommend. Hide

This property is the most tranquil, perfect and idyllic place to lay your head on one of the comfiest bed Ive ever slept on and then to wake up and the ducks and swans greeting you is just AMAZING.

A little piece of paradise, the Boat House has everything you could need, beautiful interior design and perfectly situated, surrounded by the most amazing bird life, it was very difficult to drag ourselves away to explore Yorkshire and always really lovely to return. This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire. Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour. You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals. Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family. The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower. For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel. Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too. If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families. Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit. The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
