About Rookery House

Statement interiors, comfortable facilities and a private hot tub are some of the exceptional features of this five-star Yorkshire property. Crafted with skill, care and attention, this barn conversion accommodates six guests and three dogs to leave your family or friendship group wanting for nothing throughout any length of stay.

There’s a wide array of activities on offer close by, as this property is exceptionally well placed on the outskirts of Ripon (2.5 miles) with the Yorkshire Dales National Park on its doorstep (4 miles). This property presents an exceptional blend of rustic charm with contemporary elegance, laid out with unique artworks, feature walls and antique-style furnishings across the entire single-storey offering.

The heart of the house is its kitchen/diner, a well-appointed space with natural light, top-range appliances and a cheerful dining table to crowd around at mealtimes. You can, of course, take meals outside instead, sitting on the patio in view of the excellent six-person hot tub.

After a dip, head back indoors to warm up by the wood burner in the lounge. When bedtime arrives, all three bedrooms are as inviting as the last, each with their en-suite bathroom or shower room; these include two super-king-size rooms (one with zip-and-link beds) and a welcoming double.

Explore the small holding that surrounds the property, visit the horses in the stable and feel free to exercise your dog in the enclosed field on-site. The holiday home is within effortless reach of the Nidderdale National Landscape, with extraordinary scenes to be found amongst rolling hills and pretty rivers.

Visit the chocolate box village of Pateley Bridge (13 miles), home to the world’s oldest sweet shop, and embark on a walking route from here, perhaps up to The Coldstones Cut (15.5 miles) or Stump Cross Caverns (18 miles).

We had a fantastic time staying at this beautifully converted barn. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrivedand it’s clear a lot of thought went into the details - from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfy bathrobes. They even decorated it for Christmas with a tree and trimmings, which made it extra special. The owner was really attentive and quick to answer any questions. The doggie field was a blessing, so we didn’t have to worry about our dog wandering off. The location itself is stunning, peacefuland perfect for walks. We honestly can’t recommend this place enough. The welcome pack was very generous, which was a lovely touch. Gail was super friendly and helpful throughout. There’s a big, secure field nearby perfect for walking the dogs - just a short walk from the house. Even with the weather being a bit rubbish, we still had a relaxing week and found plenty to do around the area. Definitely recommend!
