Absolutely stunning property, not often you get a 1 bed property that has so much floor space. Garden is massive as well, great for our dogs. Although one of our dogs got through the fence at the back while chasing a chicken. Great field next door for walking dogs as well. Loved seeing appolo every day as well.

Clean and comfortable, airy and spacious, warm and convenient for all the amenities nearby (shops, pubs etc.) I walk with the aid of a stick and had no trouble negotiating the property. The terrific views and many walks (for all abilities) are a bonus in this quiet and peaceful location. The owner is extremely pleasant and helpful, but not intrusivRead moree, always accompanied by his faithful dog - Apollo. Highly recommended Hide

Loved this place. Well equipped and very comfortable. Fab location and will be back hopefully for a week next time. Couldnt fault it. My dog (mini schnauzer) did manage to escape from the garden. It is enclosed but small dogs could potentially get through the fence - not a criticism just be aware.
Ethan
We couldnt recommend staying here anymore, the views from the cottage were amazing. Some fantastic walks near by. Shame about the weather but well definitely look to come back in the spring/summer months!

What an amazing place . The accommodation was of a high standard and very spacious. Peace and quiet with the only sound being countryside. Our dog enjoyed the big fenced garden to roam around in. Shops only 5 minutes away. We have already sent information for this cottage to our friends. We should have booked for longer
Margaret
Had a great time in Graceview cottage, peaceful and wonderful location, very comfortable.
Lindsey
Beautiful accommodation and location. We travelled with a 3yo Labrador and loved that the road was quiet enough that we could walk along it and access footpaths and bridle ways safely. Owners of reactive dogs should know that there was regular use of a horse mnage that backed onto the garden and horse, sheep and chicken activity around the garden, which has a low wall on one side, easily jumped. Apollo the black lab was a daily visitor which our dog loved! Rebooked for next year it was so good!
Kate

The cottage was amazing, large rooms filled with natural light, everything you needed in the kitchen. The bed was really comfortable and the views were brilliant.
Kelly
Highly recommended. The location is just beautiful, it's so peaceful. Within one afternoon we had visits from wild rabbit's, the farm chickens and Apolo the owners black lab who our retriever loved. We were also able to watch the horses being excersized on the land behind our enclosed area. It was just beautiful. You have to be willing to commute o ut but Piers had put together a pack of recommendations which was very helpful. There are also beautiful dog friendly beaches only 30 minutes away.

We cant fault our holiday. Piers was a great host and Grace View is a truly lovely cottage and very well appointed. There is nothing better to round your day off than to have a dip in the hot tub with a glass of something bubbly watching the sunset over the stunning landscape. We had a week of heaven and cant wait until we can return again.
David

Flamingo Land - YO60 7EW

Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.
Big Sheep - EX39 5AP
about 21 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Yorkshire Lavender - YO60 6PB
about 23 Miles
Yorkshire Lavender is an amazing award winning attraction offering breathtaking panoramic views of York, a Café, Plant Nursery and Lavender Gardens. The 60 acre site is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an excellent choice for a day trip. The onsite shops sells Lavender products such as bath and body treats, skincare, medicine and herbal remedies.
Castle Howard - YO60 7DA
about 24 Miles
Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 25 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
The Grainary Wildlife Farm - YO25 3HS
about 25 Miles
Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area.  There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 29 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
