Three Peaks Barn Reviews

A super internal layout which allows effectively 3 separate bedroom suites, 2 with an ensuite and bathroom to two bedrooms and one on ground floor with 2 bedrooms sharing a large wet room. Two lougr areas well separated mean our multi age group could watch tvs separately. Kitchen facilities excellent with ample crockery, serving and cooking pans, casseroles etc to cater for 10 people.Hot tub brilliant and again large enough for all to enjoy together.
Absolutely stunning location, nestled between the Three Yorkshire Peaks and almost touching the Ribblehead Viaduct! Quality and luxury throughout the accommodation, along with welcoming touches such as the lovely hamper and the fresh flowers. The hot tub was large and well maintained throughout our stay. The added bonus of the pool table was perfect for a rainy evening. Fantastic attractions on the doorstep such as White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, and of course, The Three Peaks! Superb hiking and cycling opportunities from the front door. A throughly enjoyable and memorable stay!
Brilliant location and well equipped and comfortable, a very different character property which we will long remember. It would be helpful if the bedroom no.s were put on the floor plans. Request for lay out of bedrooms all met.
I booked Three Peaks Barn on behalf of one of my customers for a group of family and friends celebrating a 40th birthday. They absolutely loved it! The location is fabulous. Facilities were top notch. The property owner, Diane, was very helpful and quick to reply to my queries before the stay. Plus Chris, the maintenance person, was great too. Both my customer and myself would recommend Three Peaks Barn.
Our party of 13 aged 1580 were captivated by the size, layout, lightness, spaciousness and comfort of the barn, which belies its rather austere exterior. First floor ensuite bedroom particularly attractive with high beamed ceiling and extensive views. Two of the bedrooms had been reconfigured as per our request, by the extremely pleasant and helpful owner, Mrs Handley. Pool table and hot tub greatly enjoyed. Couple of cons A squeeze to get 13 round the table one person had to use a side table as a seat as not enough dining chairs. However, because of the size of the chairs there would not have been enough space to use it. Also, as three of the party were only 152cm tall, a small folding stool for accessing the kitchen cupboards would have been useful. As we approached the property from Hawes, and the metal gate was already open, the Three Peaks Barn sign was not visible until we turned around and retraced our route. A sign on both sides of the gate or a larger one would be helpful. In conclusion This luxurious property is situated in beautiful, open, rolling countryside with the backdrop of the Ribblehead Viaduct stunning. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and look forward to viewing more Sykes properties.
Lovely place with incredible views of both the stunning Ribblehead Viaduct and beautiful surrounding countryside. If youre looking for a relaxing retreat this is perfect. Recommend the Ingleton waterfall walks which is a short drive away to the lovely village of Ingleton good chippy there too . Fantastic pub within walking distance through the viaduct providing outstanding home cooked food. We loved our stay and will be looking to return soon.
The Three Peaks Barn is incredible, all of the facilities you need, clean and very well equipped for a party of 11. Great attentive host who gave us advice and visited daily to tend to the hot tub. Brilliant location being on the Yorkshire three peaks path and we were happy being off the beaten track with no neighbours. The views from the barn including the sunrise over the viaduct in a morning is just stunning! We would visit again without question, thank you for a fabulous stay.
Harvey
Such an amazing property, definitely exceeded our expectations! We went as a big group for New years and had an amazing time, would highly recommend for everyone.
Michael
We had a great stay at 3 Peaks Barn. The house and location are amazing. Diane was very helpful and made sure everything was as we wanted. Only downside was having to go home!
Duncan
Three Peaks is a gorgeous property set in a staggeringly beautiful location. Sat inside with the fire on during a storm one night, or in the hot tub whilst the sun went down another night, it was our pleasure to stay there. Diane, our host, could not have been more accommodating or helpful too. A stay here is highly recommended.
Jacqueline
The barn was great lovely and clean very accommodating just what we expected. The location was great very easy access to some lovely walks . The pub was about a mile away which we walked in the pitch black take your torches if your visiting in the winter although there was one provided in the barn .The only thing we missed was a Bluetooth speaker as you have to download an app to use the one in the barn. The owner visited to see if everything was ok and helped us with the hot tub would definitely like to return and that goes for the whole 12 of our party we were celebrating a 70 th birthday and she had even put a banner up for us ,
William
JUST FANTASTIC IN EVERYWAY
Graham
Three Peaks Barn was a wonderful venue for our family gathering. Its situation between Ingleborough, Whernside and the Ribblehead Viaduct is idyllic. Curlews, buzzards, oyster catchers and a variety of trains crossing the viaduct all added to the fascination of the area. The Barn was clean, comfortable, very wellappointed and the hot tub and pool table were VERY popular. Diane, the owner, was very friendly and helpful on the one occasion that we needed her assistance. For our special occasion Three Peaks Barn was perfect.
Excellent facility, deceptively big. Space is well thought out and is very comfortable. Water pressure is great, beds really comfortable and good linen. Its a great base to walk and tour the area. The barn is warm, has good lighting and also good natural light too. Happy to heartily recommend.
A great place for a family holiday . The location is fantastic for walkers and the barn has everything you need. The pool table and hot tub got plenty of use. Would definitely return.
Suzanna
Amazing holiday. The house and location were superb. The owners were great. Welcoming and helpful.
Gareth
Had a fantastic double birthday week. Thank you for such a great stay in such a perfect location.
Would highly recommend this property, fully equipped and more, beautiful setting. highlights are the hot tub, pool table and of course the views.
Joanne
An excellent well thought out property. Very comfortable and warm. We enjoyed our stay and will visit the area again.
Michael Alvar
Holiday Cottage and location were excellent and Owner Diane very helpful.
What a beautiful location in the Dales overlooking the Ribblehead Viaduct and the surrounding Peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and PenYGhent. The Barn conversion is of a very high standard, spacious, clean and with excellent facilities. I had booked the Barn for my 60th in 2020 for a large family gathering but due to the Covid Pandemic we deferred the booking to 2021 with reduced family numbers. Expensive for the six of us however we all had a fantastic time! Many thanks to the owner Diane who provides a friendly Yorkshire welcome!
Our stay at Three Peaks Barn was just amazing, a perfect break away. The house is extremely well equipped, giving it a real home from home feel. There is loads to do in the area, we were busy for the whole week, the kids loved it too, and we didnt want to leave! Diane was a great host, very welcoming! I highly recommend this holiday home.
Suzanne
It was a nice stay. The owner is very attentive and amiable. The barn inside is bigger than the pictures and is clean. On the outside, some shade would be a good idea when it gets very sunny, an umbrella or an awning would have been very helpful. The views from the back of the property are stunning. There were some issues, more with Sykes website. One issue was the images on Sykes website, all of the pictures are good representations of the barn inside and the views from the back of the house, the views are amazing from the back of the property. From the images presented it seems like the barn is in the middle of nowhere, It isn't, it is right next to the owner's farm and directly next to barns and a huge pile of manure. I think there needs to be a bit more honesty in the pictures that are representing the property. It's quite a surprise turning up to the property when the pictures are projecting a completely different isolated view, it's misleading. Obviously, the images have been cut just so, as not to incorporate the barns or manure heap. I know it's a working farm but it's a lot of money to rent that barn and I think it should have an honest representation of its situation, it's misleading. Also, if I had known that the owner comes to check on the hot tub every day, I would have to rethink if I was going to book it. A holiday is supposed to be relaxing and having the owner come over every day, isn't relaxing and isn't what you are paying for while on holiday. I think before you book a property with sykes there needs to be an honest overview of the position and rules at a property on the website. Then a customer can decide to book knowing everything about what their stay could involve. The barn is lovely and the views from the back are gorgeous. I would have liked to have known the full extent of position and extra rules that are not displayed in the posting for the property before payment.
Stella
Great location, great property fir a large group. The owner was extremely helpful.
Nicola
The holiday was exactly what we wanted and more! The owners are close to the barn and were very helpful if we needed anything. The barn itself is beautiful, not forgetting the amazing views and being surrounded by animals. There was plenty to do nearby, with some lovely walks and a beach less than an hours drive away there's even a cave to explore, although we didn't get to visit due to the current measures. We would definitely recommend!
Three Peaks Perfection! Third time lucky for a holiday to celebrate our daughters 21st this year, due to lockdown and tiers, but so worth the wait! The barn exceeded all expectations and Diane was a perfect host with extra above and beyond touches greatly appreciated. There were only 6 of us due to C19 rules so had an amazing amount of space, especially in the hot tub after many a walk in the day. A walk one evening to the Station Inn was a great way to celebrate a birthday and stargaze on the wobble back! Walks we particularly enjoyed walks around Aysgarth Falls to Bolton Castle, Janets Foss, Malham and Goredale Scar and Hawes to High Force despite being very muddy due to snow and rain and note HF opens at 11am due to time of year Pool table, hot tub and fireplace were used most days. Barn had everything we needed and more to mostly self cater during our week and we cannot wait to return! Thanks once again Diane xx
The barn was amazing and we had the best holiday. The owner was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend. The barn has everything you need and the views are just amazing. Will definitely be returning!
Where to start! ! What a fabulous Barn.. the facilities, the location, the ever so helpful owner really couldn't have asked for a better week away as we left the first lockdown of 2020. Was an amazing week, and really needed! The barn is a beautiful conversion, with all the mod cons you need for holiday break and more. There was no need to leave the barn, although we obviously did, can't imagine a better place to set off from for a whole level of walks every day! Not having to use the cars for the week plenty of storage for a weeks worth of food for 12 of us!. The layout of the barn lends itself to a really communal atmosphere for a great family or friends break, but with breakout areas for quieter times if needed! To wake up every morning and weather permitting look out on to Ingleborough in all its glory was wonderful. All equipmentfacilities in the barn were of great quality and there was things that we didn't know we needed on hand! The quality of fixtures and fittings, bedding and towelrobes were 5 hotel quality. Can't wait to go back again!
It was my husband's 70th birthday and we went with family we all had an amazing time despite the weather! the boys loved the pool table and adults the hot tub, there's something for everyone, it's a stunning barn in a beautiful location, the owners were very welcoming and helpful.
Fantastic accommodation for 13 adults for a 30th birthday weekend. Diane took care of us and ensured we had an enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend.
Ashleigh
A lovely well equipped cottage with ample space and beautiful views. We visited with family ranging from 5 months to 87 years and it was perfect for us all, there is plenty of walks to do from the cottage even if its just a short walk to the viaduct. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen equipment, the beds were very comfortable and the reclining sofas offered a good rest after a long day. My 3 year old was very enamoured with the large hot tub we even managed to get into it during the day when we had snow even if it was very cold outside!, the robes provided were great for keeping warm when getting out. We would highly recommend the Station Inn for food and even just a pint, we ate there three times in all and everyone had great food, it is all home cooked and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The host Dianne was brilliant, she provided us with balloons and a bottle of bubbly as we were celebrating my husbands birthday, she also let us know of a last minute steam train going over the viaduct which was great to see.
Diane Handley, the owner, was unobtrusively pleasant and friendly. She took us and our two young grandsons to see the cows and calves in the barns which was a memorable experience for them. The house was great for our large family party plenty of space so we didn't get under each other's feet and lots of bathrooms so there were no queues!! We also appreciated the little extras the welcome box, the bathrobes for the hot tub and the Halloween decorations.
The most beautiful and clean barn, with gorgeous scenery. We arrived to lovely gifts. Mrs Handley was really friendly and went the extra mile for us. Would 100 recommend for a lovely weekendfew nights away.

Our stay was perfect! The cottagebarn is modern with a hint of tradition and very clean. Great facilities and very spacious.
Had an incredible time, the booking system and app are very good and then the property itself was gorgeous. Diane was brilliant in communication and nice to meet her
Three Peaks Barn is a wonderful holiday cottage set in a stunning location. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, really comfortable and very spacious. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped and the local Tesco does home deliveries. The children loved the hot tub with the outdoor speaker and lighting, and playing pool. We did some great walks from the front door.
This converted barn is beautiful in a stunning location. Has everything you need and a pub a 15 minute walk away. Kids lived in the hot tub , bbq in the rain and lots of laughter. Owner checked in to ensure we were ok and even came back with some fizz as I was celebrating a big birthday!! Amazing weekend and would recommend thus place to anyone!!
Suzanne
Beautiful location, local pub the station does cracking food too which is a bonus! We had a fantastic weekend despite the weather!
What a brilliant find! ! Excellent location with unbelievable views to Ribbleshead Viaduct. The house itself was immaculate and converted to a really high standard. Lots of little zones to disappear into for some quite time but also enough space to all get together and enjoy the evenings. Hot tub was just what we needed after the march up Whernside! The only problem was that we were only there for the weekend! No one wanted to leave! Well be staying for a week next time!
Brilliant cottage , lovely stay & lovely owners. The family loved the hot tub although maybe we chose the wrong time to visit as was terrible winds all weekend. Would definitely recommend and return in the summer months ! Brilliant stay! Maybe one more thing for it to be more clearly signposted how to get there as took a while to find the correct place but lovely time once there xx Thankyou! X
